Yo u can open and close thero ller sunblind only
when the sliding sunroof is closed.
The roller sunblinds are /t tedwith an automatic
re ve rsing function. If a solid object pr events or hin-
ders the closing process, thero ller sunblind will
open again automaticall y.The automatic reve rsing
function is only an aid and is not a substitute for
yo ur attentiveness in the process of closing the
ro ller sunblinds. #

Use only cor responding grab st raps 1 and 2to
adjust the seat/bunk combination.
The seat/bunk combination can accommodate
th re e persons. You can adjust the seat backrest to
a ve rtical and horizontal position. If you set the
seat backrest tothe horizontal position, this –
to get her with the bed extension – will give you a
full-length bedfor two people. Pa
ssengers may use the seats of the seat/bunk
combination only when the seat backrest is
upright. Only then do the seat belts pr ovide the
intended deg ree of pr otection.
The seat/bunk combination is /t tedwith two
re mo vable st owage compartments under the seat
sur face (/ page 100). You can use these st owage
compartments tostore bedding, forex ample.

Basic setting
St arting from the basic setting 1,the seat/bunk
combination for passengers can be mo vedfo r-
wa rds or backwards by5 cm. In doing so, make
sure that passen gers have su1cient leg roomto
re duce therisk of injury during braking.

when it is unoccupied. Pull the seat/bunk combi-
nation forw ards using only the loop between the
seat sur face and the seat backrest. %
Ifth e seat sliders on the front rear seat row
are toofar back in the guide rails, the seat/
bunk combination cannot be mo vedfo rw ard.
In this case, use the handle forth e seat sliders
to mo vethe seat sliders. #

In countries in which tra1c drives on the opposite
side of thero ad from the country in which the
ve hicle is registered, you will ha vetoswitch the
headlamps tosymmetrical dipped beam. This will
pr ev ent oncoming tra1c from being dazzled. Sym-
metrical dipped beam will no longer illuminate the
edge of the car riag ewa y as far or as high.

It is not necessary tochange the headlamps over
to symmetrical dipped beam. The statutory
re qu irements of the countries in which tra1c
drives on the opposite side of thero ad from the

The standing lights, low beam and daytime running
lights will be switched on automatically depending
on theve hicle status and the light conditions. &

dipped beam may not be switched on automat-
ically if there is fog, snow or other causes of
poor visibility such as spr ay. #
In such cases, turn the light switch to

100 m and low beam must not dazzle oncoming

Yo u can use the headlamp range adjuster toadjust
th e light cone of the headlamps toyour vehicle's
load condition. The light cone will change as the
seats are occupied or the load compartment is loa-
ded or unloaded. This can cause visibility condi-
tions todeteriorate and you could dazzle oncoming

The enhanced fog light function reduces self-daz-
zling and impr ovesth e illumination of the edge of

has been switched on, the enhanced fog light func-
tion will automatically be activated.

On very rare occasions, Adaptive Highbeam
Assist may failto recognise other road users
with their own lighting, or may recognise them
to o late.
In these, or in similar situations, the automatic
high beam will not be deactivated or will be
activated despite the presence of other road
users. #
Always obser vethero ad and tra1c con-
ditions carefully and switch o. the high
beam in good time. The
Adaptive Highbeam Assist automatically
switches between thefo llowing settings:

If yo ur speed is greater than 30 km/h and no other
ro ad users are de tected, high beam will automati-
cally be switched on.
If yo ur speed is greater than 25 km/h, the head-
lamp range will be controlled automatically
depending on the distance from other road users.
High beam will automatically be deacti vated in the
fo llowing cases:
R Your speed is lo werth an 25 km/h.
R Other road users ha vebeen de tected.
R The road is su1ciently illuminated.

cient street lighting, Highbeam Assist Plus will per-
fo rm thefo llowing actions:
R Partial high beam and high beam will be auto-
matically deactivated.
R The K indicator lamp on the inst rument

beam Assist Plus will remain switched on.
