The rear fog lamp can be operated when theheadlamps or front fog lamps turn on.An indicator lamp in the instrument clustercomes on when the rear fog lamp is turnedon.
Turn the knob once in the “ON” direction toturn on the front fog lamps. Turn the knobonce more in the “ON” direction to turn onthe rear fog lamp. To turn the rear fog lampoff, turn the knob once in the “OFF” direc-tion. Turn the knob once more in the “OFF”direction to turn off the front fog lamps. Theknob will automatically return to its originalposition when you release it.

Can only be used when the operation mode ofthe power switch is in ON.If the lever is put in the “AUTO” position, therain sensor (A) will detect the extent of rain(or snow, other moisture, dust, etc.) and thewipers will operate automatically.Keep the lever in the “OFF” position if thewindscreen is dirty and the weather is dry.
Wiper operation under these conditions canscratch the windscreen and damage the wip-ers.

With the lever in the “AUTO” (rain sensor)position, it is possible to adjust the sensitivityof the rain sensor by turning the knob (B).
Move the lever in the direction of the arrowand release, to operate the wipers once.Use this function when you are driving inmist or drizzle.The wipers will operate once if the lever israised to the “MIST” position and releasedwhen the operation mode of the power switchis in ON or ACC. The wipers will continue tooperate while the lever is held in the “MIST”position.The wipers will operate once if the lever ismoved to the “AUTO” position and the knob(C) is turned in the “+” direction when theoperation mode is in ON.
zThe wipers may automatically operate whenthings such as insects
or foreign objects are
affixed to the windscreen on top of the rainsensor or when the windscreen is frozen.Objects affixed to the windscreen will stopthe wipers when the wipers cannot removethem. To operate the wipers again, move thelever in the “LO” or “HI” position.Also, the wipers may operate automaticallydue to strong direct s
unlight or electromag-
netic wave. To stop the wipers, place thelever in the “OFF” position.zContact a MITSUBISHI MOTORS Author-ised Service Point when replacing the wind-screen or reinforcing the glass around thesensor.

Stop the vehicle in a safe place.Restart the Plug-in Hybrid EV Systemand check to see whether the lamp goesout after a few minutes driving; if it thenremains off during driving, there is noproblem.However, if the lamp does not go out, or ifit lights up again when the vehicle isdriven, we recommend you to have thevehicle checked as soon as possible.zIf you start Plug-in Hybrid EV Systemwhen the auxiliary battery voltage isinsufficient, ABS warning lamp/displaymay illuminate, but this is not a failure ofABS. When the drive battery is charged,the auxiliary battery is also charged, andthe warning lamp/display will go out. Ifthe warning lamp/display continues illu-minating even after the battery is suffi-ciently charged or the warninglamp/display illuminates frequently ,haveyour vehicle inspected by a MITSUBISHIMOTORS Authorised Service Point.

The Speed Limiter memorizes the set speedwhen system has been deactivated, the SpeedLimiter can resume by push up the RES +switch (C).However, the Speed Limiter immediatelystarts controlling and the vehicle decreases asif an accelerator pedal is closed fully, whenthe vehicle speed is higher than the set speed.

The ACC maintains a set speed with no needfor you to use the accelerator pedal. Using asensor (A), the system also measures the rela-tive speed and distance between your vehicleand a vehicle in front, and maintains a set fol-lowing distance between your vehicle and thevehicle in front by automatically deceleratingyour vehicle if it becomes too close to thevehicle in front.The ACC is the driver assist system to makecomfortable on a freeway. Yo u r v e h i c l e r u n s a t a s p e e d t o w h i c h y o u s e t .It is possible to set the speed between approx-imately 40 and 180 km/h.The ACC makes control to maintain a follow-ing distance (time gap) matched with thevehicle speed between your vehicle and avehicle in front while also activating brakesas necessary.
If the vehicle in front stops, the ACC reacts toit by stopping your vehicle.Depress the brake pedal as soon as your vehi-cle comes to a stop.
•When your vehicle is on a chassisdynamometer or free rollers.•When the air pressure in the tyres is notcorrect.•When installing the spare tyre for emer-gency.•When tyre chains are attached.zBe sure to take the following precautions tokeep the system in proper operating condi-tions.Improper handling of the system componentsmay result in degraded sensor performance.•Avoid application of
strong shock loads to
the sensor and never tamper with or removethe sensor mounting screws.• The cover in front of the sensor and the sen-sor should be kept clean.•Do not cover the sensor mounted area ofthe vehicle or the sensor cover with asticker or anything such as a grill guardetc..•The sensor front cove

zIf the vehicle speed exceed the set speed ondown slope, the system automatically appliesthe brake to maintain the vehicle speed.zWhen depressing the brake pedal while auto-matic brake is applied, the brake pedal is feltsolidly, but it is not abnormal. You can moredepress the pedal and it provides greaterbraking force.zSound is heard while automatic brake, but itis operated a brake control and not abnormal.

zThe ACC may not be able to maintain the setspeed or the distance to a vehicle in front andmay not alert the driver, if the system cannotdetect the front vehicle properly in the fol-lowing situations.• When a vehicle enters in front of your vehi-cle very closely.•When a vehicle in front is offset to the leftor right.•When a vehicle in front is towing a trailer.•The vehicle in front is moving at a speedmuch lower than your vehicle.•A motorcycle or a bicycle.•A freight trailer that is not carrying a con-tainer.•The vehicle has a protruding load from thecarrier.•The vehicle has a low vehicle height.•The vehicle has an extremely high groundclearance.•When there is repeated steep uphill anddownhill driving.•When driving on an
irregular or uneven
road surface.•When being driven in a tunnel.•When you are carrying extremely heavyloads in the rear s

Cruise control switch

1- “ACC ON/OFF” switch
Used to turn on and off ACC or thecruise control function.
2- “SET -” switch
Used to set a desired speed and toreduce the set speed.
3- “RES +” switch
Used to make ACC operate at the origi-nally set speed and also to increase theset speed.
4- “CANCEL” switch
Used to cancel the control function ofACC or the cruise control.
5- ACC distance switch
Used to change the setting of the fol-lowing distance between your vehicleand a vehicle in front.
