Do not allow people or children to ride inany area of your vehicle that is notequipped with seats and seat belts, andmake sure that everyone travelling in yourvehicle is in a seat a
nd wearing a seat belt,
or in the case of a
young child is strapped
in a child restraint.zTo m i n i m i z e t h e r i s k o f p e r s o n a l i n j u r y i nthe event of a collision or sudden braking,the seatbacks should always be in thealmost upright position while the vehicle isin motion. The protection provided by theseat belts may be reduced significantlywhen the seatback is reclined. There isgreater risk that the passenger will slideunder the seat belt, resulting in seriousinjury, when the seatback is reclined.CAUTIONzMake sure the seat is adjusted by an adult orwith adult supervisi

The heated seats can be operated with theoperation mode of the power switch in ON.Operate the switch as indicated by arrows.The indication lamp (A) will illuminate whilethe heater is on.

Operate the switch as indicated by thearrows and adjust the seat to the desiredposition.
2- To recline the seatback
Operate the switch as indicated by thearrows and adjust the seatback angle tothe desired position.
3- To adjust seat height
Operate the switch as indicated by thearrows and adjust the seat height to thedesired position.If the entire switch is operated, then theentire seat moves.

Adjust the head restraint height so that thecentre of the head restraint is as close as pos-sible to ear level to reduce the chances ofinjury in the event of collision. Any persontoo tall for the head restraint to reach their
zIf water or any other liquid is spilled on theseat, allow it to dry thoroughly beforeattempting to use the heater. Turn the heateroff immediately if it appears to be malfunc-tioning during use.

can adversely affect
head restraint performance by increasingthe distance between your head and therestraint.zWhen a person sits in the rear seats, pullup the head restraint to a height at whichit locks in position. Be sure to make thisadjustment before starting to drive. Seri-ous injuries could otherwise be suffered inthe result of an impact.

After adjust-ment, push the head restraint downward andmake sure that it is locked.Lift the head restraint with the height adjust-ing knob (A) pushed in.
Confirm that the head restraint is facing thecorrect direction, and then insert it into theseatback while pressing the height adjustingknob (A) in the direction indicated by thearrow.The head restraint stalk with the adjustmentnotches (B) must be installed in the hole withthe adjusting knob (A).

3. Lift the front end of the seat cushion.4. Flip the seat cushion forward.
5. Fold the seat belt buckles forward.6. Pull up the lever, then fold the seatbackforward.

For infants small enough for infants seats, usea Standards Association of Australiaapproved baby restraint. For small childrenwhose height when seated allows the shoul-der belt to lie in contact with the face or thethroat, a child seat should be used.

Children who have outgrown the childrestraint system should be seated in the rearseat and wear combination lap shoulder belt.The lap portion of the belt should be snug andpositioned low on the abdomen so that it isbelow the top of the hip-bone. Otherwise, thebelt could intrude into the child’s abdomenduring an accident and cause injury.

When fitting a child restraint, always followthe manufacturer’s instructions using theapproved anchorage points shown.
For children too young to sit, use a StandardsAssociation of Australia approved babyrestraint. Be sure to comply with the laws ofyour state regarding restraining children inyour vehicle.There are 3 child restraint anchorage pointslocated on the back of the rear seatbacks.

THECHILD RESTRAINT SYSTEM MUSTBE INSTALLED IN THE REAR SEAT.zWhen installing a child restraint system,refer to the instructions provided by themanufacturer of the restraint system.Failure to do so can result in severe orfatal injury to your child.zAfter installation, push and pull the childrestraint system back and forth, and sideto side, to see that it is positively secured.If the child restraint system is not installedsecurely, it may cause injury to the childor other occupants in the case of accidentor sudden stops.zWhen not in use, keep your child or infantseat secured with the seat belt or remove itfrom the vehicle in order to prevent injuryto yourself or
your passengers.

zBefore purchasing a child restraint system,try installing it in the rear seat to make surethere is a good fit. Because of the location ofthe seat belt buckles and the shape of the seatcushion, it may be difficult to securely installsome manufacturer’s child restraint systems.If the child restraint system can be pulledforward or to either side easily on the seatcushion after the seat belt has been tightened,choose another manufacturer’s child restraintsystem.

Driving safety and protection against injurycannot be fully ensured. However, we recom-mend that you pay extra attention to the fol-lowing:Before starting the vehicle, make sure thatyou and your passengers have fastened yourseat belts.zNever leave your vehicle unattended withthe key and children inside the vehicle.Children may play with the driving con-trols and this could lead to an accident.zMake sure that infants and small childrenare properly restrained in accordance withthe laws and regulations, and for maxi-mum protection in case of an accident.zPrevent children from playing in the lug-gage compartment. It is quite dangerousto allow them to play there while the vehi-cle is moving.
When loading luggage, be careful not to loadabove the height of seats. This is dangerousnot only because rearward vision will beobstructed, but also the luggage may be pro-jected into the passenger compartment underhard braking.
