& CAUTION When you connect an electrical device, make sure it is rated at 12V and its electrical capacity does not exceed 120W. Remember that prolonged use of an electrical
device with the engine off could run the batteries down.

The digital clock indicates the time while the ignition switch is in either the "ON" or "ACe position .
Set the time by pressing the various buttons as described below. (Use the tip of a pencil or the like to set buttons 1
and 2.)

Inspection lamp* EG40A·A
The inspection lamp can be used while the ignition switch is at either the "ON" or "Ace position.
The inspection lamp is in the rear left
corner of the luggage compartment. Connect the plug (with a cord about 3m long) which is inside the lamp body into
either the front or rear accessory socket Use the inspection lamp for operations both inside and outside the vehicle .

If your vehicle is to be towed, pay careful attention to the following points:
(1) Move the gearshift lever (manual transmission) or the
selector lever (automatic transmission) to neutral or the "N".
(2) Move the transfer shift lever to "2H" position. (3) Vehicles with rear differential lock system , turn off the rear
differantial lock switch. (4) Be sure the towing speed is within the legal limit. In addition, if the vehicle is of the following type , make sure that the towing speed and distance given below are never
exceeded .
Vehicles
with an automatic transmission Towing speed : 30 km/h (19 mph ) Towing distance : 30 km (19 miles)
(5) If the transmission is malfunctioning or damaged , or if a
vehicle with an automatic transmission must be towed farther than 30 km (19 miles), tow the vehicle with the rear
wheels raised off the ground. (6) Turn the ignition switch to the "ACe or "ON" position to unlock the steering wheel. (7) Turn on the hazard warning lamps . (8) During towing make sure that close contact is maintained between the drivers of both vehicles, and that the vehicles travel at low speed. Avoid abrupt starting or stopping which might subject the vehicles to shock . (9) As the engine is not running, the brake booster and power steering pump do not operate . This means higher brak e
depression force and higher steering effort are required.
Th erefore, operation is more
difficult than usual.

3. Tighten the drain plug when water no longer comes out. 4. Loosen the air plug and bleed the air. (Refer to "Bleeding the fuel
system" .)
5 . Check
to be sure that the warning lamp illuminates when the ignition key is turned to " ON ", and that it goes off when the engine is started . If in doubt, consult your nearest
authorized MITSUBISHI deal er.
&. CAUTION (1) Do not smoke or have any other open flame near
the vehicle while bleeding the fuel system . (2) Be sure to carefully wipe up any water drained out
in this manner. because the fuel mixed in the water miQht be iqnited and result in a fire.

Changing a fuse EN29C-A
1. Before replacing a fuse , always turn off the electrical item concerned and set ignition key in "LOCK" po
sition. 2. Remove the fuse housing cover_
3 . Referring to the fuse load capacity table, check the fuse pertaining to the problem.

There is a fuse puller in the fuse housing (inside the vehicle). First
pull the fuse puller out of the fuse housing and then by using the fuse
puller, pull the fuse straight out from the fuse housing. If it is not blown, something else must be
causing the problem; contact an au
thorized MITSUBISHI dealer to
have the problem checked.
I nsert a
new fuse of the same ca
pacity securely into the clip.
