Use of ACEA A1/B1 and A5/B5 engine oil is 
expressly  forbidden,  since they  can cause 
long-term e ngine da mage  und er ce rtain 
ope ra ting conditions.
Engine oil additives
The use of engine oil additives could cause 
dam age and  invalidate the  warranty.  
E ng ine oi l vis cos ity
SAE 0W-30, 0W-40, 5W-30 or 5W-40
The  SAE  vis cosity  rating  defines  the  ability 
of  an  oil  to  flow.  W he n cold, oil is  more  
viscous than when hot. 
Multigrad e oil is  indicated  by  two  figure s.  
The  first figure,  followe d b y a W,  ind ic ates 
l ow  t em p er a t u r e v i sco s i t y a n d t h e  se co n d 
figure  the high te mpera ture  vis cosity.  
Coolant and  antifreeze
Use antifreeze of recommended 
spe cification:  silicate -free LL C (L ong L ife  
Coolant).
The  s ys te m is  factory-filled  with  coola nt 
designed  for frost  protection down to 
approx. -2 8 °C . This conce ntration s hould 
be m ainta ine d all y ear-round.
Coolant additive s inte nd ed to g ive 
additiona l  corrosion protection or seal 
against m inor le aks  can ca us e  function 
prob lems . L iability for cons eque nce s  
re sulting from the  use  of  coola nt a dditives 
will be  rejec te d.
Brake and clutch fluid
O nly  use DO T3 or DO T4 brake fluid.
O ver tim e, brake  fluid abs orbs  mois ture  
which will re duce b raking effe ctivene ss . 
T h e br a ke f lu i d sh o u l d t h er e fo r e  be 
re placed  at the s pe cifie d interv al.
Brake fluid should b e stored in a  sealed  
container to av oid wate r  abs orption. 
E ns ure it  does  not  becom e contaminate d 
with fluids  containing mineral oil (oil,  
pe trol,  clea ne r) as  this  can  damage  the 
seals and sleeves  of  the brake system.

Due  to its corrosive  nature,  it  must not 
come in contact with the paintwork . Flush 
any e scap ed b rake  fluid w ith p lenty of
