1. Air conditioning on/off
MANUAL AIR CONDITIONING
The air conditioning can only operate
when the engine is running.
2. Temperature adjustment Turn the control from blue
(cold) to red (hot) to adjust
the temperature to your
requirements.
Version with button and indicator light Version with manual control
The air conditioning is de-
signed to operate effectively
in all seasons, with the win-
dows closed. In summer,
it enables the temperature
to be lowered and in winter, above
0 °C, it increases the effectiveness of
the demisting.
Press the switch, the indicator light
comes on.
The air conditioning does not op-

control 3 is in position "0".

AUTOMATIC AIR CONDITIONING
The air conditioning can only operate when the engine is running.
1. Automatic "comfort" programme
We recommend that you use this
mode, it provides optimised auto-
matic control of all of the following
functions: passenger compartment
t e m p e r a t u r e , a i r fl o w , a i r d i s t r i b u t i o n
and air intake, in accordance with the
comfort value that you have chosen.
This system is designed to operate
effectively in all seasons, with the
windows closed. Press the
"AUTO" button.
The "AUTO" symbol is dis-
played. The automatic comfort pro-
g r a m m e m a y n o t b e s u f fi c i e n t
for rapid de-icing or demisting
of the windscreen and side
windows (humidity, several
passengers, ice, etc.).
In this case, select the automatic visi-
bility programme. The button 3 indicator
light comes on.
The system automatically controls
t h e a i r c o n d i t i o n i n g a n d t h e fl o w o f a i r
and provides optimum distribution of
the ventilation to the windscreen and
side windows. It deactivates the air
recirculation.
To exit this programme, press button 3
again or press the "AUTO" button, the
indicator light on the button is switched
off and "AUTO" is displayed.
Note: for your comfort, when the en-
gine is switched off, the settings are
retained until the engine is switched
on again, if the temperature in the
passenger compartment has not al-
t e r e d s i g n i fi c a n t l y ; o t h e r w i s e , o p e r a -
tion resumes in automatic mode.
When the engine is cold, to prevent
too great a distribution of cold air, the
a i r fl o w w i l l o n l y r e a c h i t s o p t i m u m
level gradually. 3. Automatic "visibility"
programme
Automatic operation
The value indicated on
the display corresponds
to a level of comfort
and not to a tempera-
ture in degrees Celsius
or Fahrenheit.
2. Temperature adjustment On entering the vehicle, if
the interior temperature is
much colder or warmer than
is comfortable, there is no
need to change the value displayed
in order to reach the required level of
comfort. The system eliminates the
temperature difference automatically
and as quickly as possible.
Press the
"+" and "-" buttons to
change this value. A setting around the
value 22 enables optimum comfort to
be obtained. However, depending on
your requirements, a setting between
18 and 24 is usual.

Press this button to switch
off the air conditioning.
Automatic operation of the
air conditioning is resumed
when the button is pressed
again. The symbol "A/C" is
displayed.
4. Air conditioning on/off
Pressing this button several
times in succession enables

- the windscreen and the side win- dows (de-icing or demisting),
- the windscreen, the side windows, the vents and the footwells,
- the windscreen, the side windows and the footwells,

the fan symbol is empty.
This action switches off all of the func-
tions of the air conditioning system,
with the exception of the rear screen
demisting 9 .
Avoid driving with the air conditioning
switched off for long periods.
P r e s s i n g t h e a i r fl o w "+" button 6
again or the "AUTO" button reacti-
vates the system with the values set
before it was switched off.
7. Switching the system off
Control using the manual
buttons
It is possible to adjust one or more
functions manually while leaving the
other functions in automatic mode.
The
"AUTO" button indicator light
switches off.
Switching to manual mode may result
in discomfort (temperature, humidity,
odour, condensation) and does not
provide optimum comfort.
To return to automatic mode, press
the "AUTO" button. Press this button for recir-
culation of the interior air.
The air recirculation sym-
bol
8 is displayed.
Air recirculation enables the passen-
ger compartment to be isolated from
exterior odours and smoke.
Avoid prolonged recirculation of interior
air (risk of condensation or deterioration
of the air quality).
Press this button again or press the
"AUTO" button to resume automatic
management of the intake of air.
8. Air intake/Air recirculation
With the engine running,
press this button to demist
the rear screen and the ex-
terior mirrors. The indicator
light on button 9 comes on.
Demisting switches off automatically
in relation to the exterior temperature
and to prevent an excessive con-
sumption of current.
It is possible to stop operation of the
demisting before it is switched off
automatically by pressing the button
again.
If the engine is switched off before
the demisting is switched off auto-
matically, the demisting will resume
the next time the engine is switched
on.
9. Demisting the rear screen and
the mirrors
- the footwells,
- the centre vents, the side vents
and the footwells,
- the centre and side vents.

FRONT INTERIOR LAYOUT
5. Writing table
When the front passenger seat is
placed in the table position, you have
a table with two pieces of elastic to
retain A4 format documents, as well
as pen holders.
CHILD MONITORING MIRROR
This mirror enables the driver or front
passenger to observe all the rear
seats.
Fitted on its own ball joint, it provides
a panoramic view of the rear interior
of the vehicle.
AREAS FOR TOLL CARDS/CAR PARK TICKETS
* With colour screen only.
1. Sun visor
Each sun visor has a courtesy mirror
with concealer and a ticket holder.
2. Storage trays on the fascia
3. Glove box
To open the glove box, lift the handle.
The glove box lights when the lid is
opened.
The lid has two opening positions, in-
termediate and full.
It contains the passenger air bag dis-
arming switch, a ventilation nozzle
that can be closed (distributing the
same conditioned air as the vents
of the passenger compartment) and
three sockets * for connecting audio/
video equipment (refer to the "Audio
and Telematics" section to activate
the auxiliary input sockets).
The layout allows storage of a pen,
the vehicle handbook, a pair of spec-
tacles, maps, etc.

5. Retaining straps
These secure the warning triangle,
the tool kit, oil cans...
1. Rear parcel shelf
To remove the shelf:
- tilt and slightly raise the shelf,
- pull upwards on each side to de-
tach it from its fasteners.
There are several options for storing
the shelf:
- either behind the rear seats,
- o r fl a t i n t h e b o o t .

THE REMOTE CONTROL KEY
The remote control permits locking,
deadlocking, unlocking and locating of
the vehicle, as well as folding and un-
folding of the exterior mirrors. It does
not work when the ignition is on.
The key permits mechanical and in-
d e p e n d e n t o p e r a t i o n o f t h e f u e l fi l l e r
cap and passenger air bag disarming
switch as well as switching on of the
ignition.
From the driver's door, the key per-
mits electrical control of the locking,
deadlocking and unlocking of the ve-
hicle, as well as folding and unfolding
of the exterior mirrors.
If one of the doors or the tailgate is
open, the central locking does not
work. Using the key
Turn the key in the lock on the driver's
door to lock the vehicle.

lighting of the direction indicators for
approximately two seconds.
The exterior mirrors fold at the same
time.
Using the key
Turn the key in the lock on the driver's
door to unlock the vehicle.

fl a s h i n g o f t h e d i r e c t i o n i n d i c a t o r s f o r
approximately two seconds.
The exterior mirrors unfold at the
same time.
Folding/Unfolding the key
To fold the key, press button
A then
fold the key into the casing of the re-
mote control.
To unfold the key, press button A .
Unlocking
Normal locking When the vehicle is locked, if
unlocking is activated inadver-
tently, without the doors being
opened within 30 seconds, the
vehicle will lock automatically.
The folding and unfolding of the ex-
terior mirrors can be deactivated by
a PEUGEOT dealer.
The remote control does not work
when the ignition is on.
Using the remote control
Press button B to lock the vehicle.
Pressing button B for more than
2 seconds permits automatic closing
of the windows and sunroof in addition
to locking.

Deadlocking
Deadlocking renders the internal and
external door controls inoperative.
It also deactivates the internal central
locking button.
Using the remote control
Pressing button B locks the vehicle
or pressing button B for more than
2 seconds permits automatic closing
of the windows and sunroof in addi-
tion to locking.
A second press w i t h i n fi v e s e c o n d s
deadlocks the vehicle.

lighting of the direction indicators for
approximately two seconds. Opening/Closing the
"Sesame" doors
Pressing button D or E opens or
closes the left or right door.
This press unlocks the vehicle before
opening the corresponding door.
A second press stops the move-
ment of the corresponding door.
A third press reverses the move-
ment of the corresponding door.
Using the key
Turn the key in the lock on the driver's
door to lock the vehicle.

key again to deadlock the vehicle.

A buzzer sounds on opening the driver's
door, if the key has been left in the
ignition.
Locating your vehicle
To locate your vehicle, if you have
locked it, in a car park:
press button B , the courtesy
lights come on and the direction
i n d i c a t o r s fl a s h f o r a f e w
seconds.
If the deadlocking is opera-
ted from inside the vehicle, it
will change to normal locking
when the vehicle is started.
When closing the windows
and sunroof using the remote
control, the user must ensure
that no one is preventing cor-
rect closing of the windows
and sunroof.
Never leave anyone inside the vehicle
when it is deadlocked.

ELECTRONIC ENGINE IMMOBILISER
This locks the engine control system
a few moments after the ignition has
been switched off and therefore pre-
vents starting of the vehicle by anyone
who does not have the key.
The ignition key has an electronic chip
which has a special code. When the
ignition is switched on, the code is
recognised and starting is possible.
If the system does not function
correctly, the service warning light
comes on, accompanied by an au-
dible signal and a message on the
multifunction display.
In this case, your vehicle will not
start. Contact a PEUGEOT dealer as
soon as possible.
