Turn the bulb holder a quarter turn
and remove it.
Pull the bulb and change it.

Amber coloured bulbs, such as
the direction indicators, must be
replaced with bulbs of identical
s p e c i fi c a t i o n a n d c o l o u r .
Direction indicators
Disconnect the headlamp main
connector, pulling the red control.
Remove the plastic protective cover
turning it a quarter turn.
Pull the bulb out and change it. Dipped beam headlamps
Disconnect the headlamp main con-
nector, pulling the red control.
Remove the plastic protective cover
turning it a quarter turn.
Press the connector downwards to
release the bulb.
Pull the bulb out and change it.

Front foglamp
Slide a hand under the bumper.
Turn the connector a quarter turn
and remove the assembly.
Remove the bulb and change it.
Main beam headlamps
Disconnect the headlamp main
connector, pulling the red control.
Remove the plastic protective cover
turning it a quarter turn.
Move aside the springs to release
the bulb and pull the bulb out.

reverse order. Direction indicator side repeater
Push the repeater forwards and
release it.
Remove the repeater and change it.
Repeaters can be obtained from a
PEUGEOT dealer.
High pressure washing
When using a jet washer on stub-
born dirt, do not persist on the
headlamps, the other lamps and
their surround to avoid damaging
their coating and seals.

Third brake lamp 5 bulbs W5W
Unclip the boot side trim.
Remove the wing nut.
Release the lamp unit from the outside.
Press the lug A and disconnect the
connector.
Remove the sealing foam.
Move aside the tabs B and remove the
bulb holder.
Turn the faulty bulb a quarter turn and
change it.

reverse order and ensure that the bulb
holder, the lamp unit and the foam cover
are repositioned correctly. Using a 10 mm spanner, unscrew the
2 nuts
A .
Release the lamp unit.
Squeeze the two tabs B to release the
bulb holder.
Change the faulty bulb.
1. Direction indicators
(P21W amber).
2. Reversing lamps P21W.
3. Brake lamps/sidelamps (P21/5W).
4. Foglamp (P21W).

Rear foglamp (P21W)
The foglamp is located on the rear
bumper, on the left-hand side.
Unscrew the lamp and release the
assembly.
Turn the pin connector a quarter turn
and remove it.
Change the bulb. Number plate lamps W5W
Insert a thin screwdriver into one of the
outer holes of the transparent cover.
Push it outwards to unclip it.
Remove the transparent cover.
Change the faulty bulb.

CHANGING A FUSE
Operating procedure for replacing a
faulty fuse with a new fuse to rectify a
failure of the corresponding function.
The fuseboxes are located under the dash-
board and in the engine compartment.

Unscrew the catch a quarter turn using
a coin then remove the cover to gain
access to the fuses and the tweezer A . R e m o v i n g a n d fi t t i n g a f u s e

The electrical circuit of your ve-
hicle is designed to operate with
standard or optional equipment.
Before installing other electri-
cal equipment or accessories in
your vehicle, consult a PEUGEOT
dealer.
Some electrical accessories or the
w a y i n w h i c h t h e y a r e fi t t e d m a y
have an adverse effect on the op-
eration of your vehicle (its elec-
tronic control circuits, the audio
circuit and the electrical charging
circuit).
PEUGEOT declines any respon-
sibility for expenses incurred
through the repair of your vehicle
or for any malfunctions resulting
from the installation of auxiliary
accessories, not supplied and not
recommended by PEUGEOT and
not installed in accordance with
PEUGEOT's instructions, in par-
ticular when the combined con-
sumption of all of the additional
equipment connected exceeds
10 milliamps.
The maxi fuses present provide
additional protection for the elec-
trical systems. Any work on these
fuses must be carried out by a
PEUGEOT dealer.

BATTERY
Operating procedure for recharging
y o u r fl a t b a t t e r y o r f o r s t a r t i n g t h e e n g i n e
from another battery.
To start the vehicle from another
battery:
- Connect the red cable to the positive (+) terminals of the two batteries,
- Connect one end of the green or black cable to the negative (-) termi-
nal of the slave battery,
- Connect the other end of the green or black cable to an earth point on
the broken down vehicle, as far as
possible from the battery (for exam-
ple, right-hand engine mounting),
- Operate the starter, let the engine run,
- Wait for the engine to return to idle, then disconnect the cables.
To charge the battery using a battery
charger:
- Disconnect the battery,
- Follow the instructions for use given by the battery charger manufacturer,
- Reconnect starting with the nega- tive (-) terminal,
- Check that the terminals and connec- tors are clean. If they are covered with
sulphate (white or greenish deposit),
disconnect them and clean them.
It is advisable to disconnect the bat-
tery if the vehicle is not to be used for
a period of more than one month.
- Wait for 2 minutes after switch-
ing off the ignition before dis-
connecting the battery.
- Never disconnect a terminal when the engine is running.
- Never charge a battery without fi r s t d i s c o n n e c t i n g t h e t e r m i n a l s .
- Close the windows before dis- connecting the battery.
- After every reconnection of the battery, switch on the ignition
and wait 1 minute before start-
ing to allow the electronic sys-
tems to be initialised. If slight
d i f fi c u l t i e s a r e e x p e r i e n c e d
after this, please consult a
PEUGEOT dealer.
