T u r n t h e b u l b h o l d e r o n e q u a r t e r o f
a turn and remove it.
Pull the bulb and change it.

verse order.
Changing the dipped headlamps,
main beam headlamps or directional
headlamps

tab. Changing the integrated direction
indicator side repeaters

T h e s e i v e b u l b s a r e c h a n g e d f r o m
o u t s i d e t h e b o o t :
i r s t o p e n t h e l a p t o g a i n a c c e s s t o
t h e i x i n g b o l t ,
r e m o v e t h e l i g h t i x i n g b o l t ,
take out the light from the outside,
disconnect the light connector,
remove the light seal,
p r e s s t h e f o u r t a b s a n d r e m o v e t h e
bulb holder,
t u r n t h e b u l b o n e q u a r t e r o f a t u r n
and change it.
T o r e i t , c a r r y o u t t h e s e o p e r a t i o n s i n
reverse order.

Changing the third brake light

bulbs (W 5 W)

the exterior holes of the lens.

it.
Remove the lens.
Pull the bulb and change it.
High pressure washing

back of the fascia fuse box cover.
T o g a i n a c c e s s t o t h e m :

r e m o v e t h e c o v e r c o m p l e t e l y ,
r e m o v e t h e p l i e r s . Replacing a fuse
B e f o r e r e p l a c i n g a f u s e , t h e c a u s e o f
t h e f a i l u r e m u s t b e i d e n t i i e d a n d r e c t i -
i e d .
Identify the faulty fuse by examining
t h e c o n d i t i o n o f i t s i l a m e n t .
U s e t h e s p e c i a l p l i e r s t o e x t r a c t t h e
fuse from its housing.
A l w a y s r e p l a c e t h e f a u l t y f u s e w i t h a
fuse of the same rating.
Check that the number engraved
on the box and the rating engraved
o n t h e t o p c o r r e s p o n d t o t h e t a b l e s

BATTERY
Procedure for charging your battery

using another battery.

t i v e t e r m i n a l ( + ) o f t h e l a t b a t t e r y A ,

the slave battery B .
Connect one end of the green or
black cable to the negative terminal
( - ) o f t h e s l a v e b a t t e r y B .
Connect the other end of the green
o r b l a c k c a b l e t o a n e a r t h p o i n t C on
t h e b r o k e n d o w n v e h i c l e , a s f a r a s
p o s s i b l e f r o m t h e b a t t e r y ( f o r e x a m -
p l e , r i g h t - h a n d e n g i n e m o u n t i n g ) .
O p e r a t e t h e s t a r t e r , l e t t h e e n g i n e
run.
Wait until the engine returns to idle
and disconnect the cables.
The battery is located under the bonnet
on the left.
T o g a i n a c c e s s t o i t :
o p e n t h e b o n n e t u s i n g t h e i n t e r i o r
lever, then the exterior lever,
secure the bonnet strut,
r e m o v e t h e p l a s t i c c o v e r t o g a i n a c -
c e s s t o t h e t w o t e r m i n a l s .

Charging the battery using a
battery charger
D i s c o n n e c t t h e b a t t e r y f r o m t h e v e -
hicle.
F o l l o w t h e i n s t r u c t i o n s f o r u s e p r o -
vided by the manufacturer of the
charger.
R e c o n n e c t s t a r t i n g w i t h t h e n e g a -
t i v e t e r m i n a l ( - ) .
C h e c k t h a t t h e t e r m i n a l s a n d c o n n e c -
t o r s a r e c l e a n . I f t h e y a r e c o v e r e d w i t h
s u l p h a t e ( w h i t i s h o r g r e e n i s h d e p o s i t ) ,
remove them and clean them.
A t t h e r i s k o f d i s c h a r g i n g t h e b a t -
tery, the deactivated functions can
be reactivated manually. S y s t e m w h i c h m a n a g e s t h e u s e o f c e r -
tain functions in relation to the level of
charge remaining in the battery.
When the vehicle is being driven, the
l o a d r e d u c t i o n f u n c t i o n t e m p o r a r i l y d e a c -
tivates certain functions, such as the air
c o n d i t i o n i n g , t h e r e a r s c r e e n d e - i c i n g . . .
T h e d e a c t i v a t e d f u n c t i o n s a r e r e a c t i v a t -
ed automatically as soon as conditions
p e r m i t .
It is advisable to disconnect the
b a t t e r y i f t h e v e h i c l e i s t o b e l e f t u n -
used for more than one month. Before disconnecting the
battery
W a i t 2 m i n u t e s a f t e r s w i t c h i n g o f f
the ignition before disconnecting
the battery.
C l o s e t h e w i n d o w s , t h e r e t r a c t a b l e
r o o f a n d t h e d o o r s b e f o r e d i s c o n -
necting the battery.
Following reconnection of the
battery

1 m i n u t e b e f o r e s t a r t i n g t o p e r m i t
i n i t i a l i s a t i o n o f t h e e l e c t r o n i c s y s -
t e m s . H o w e v e r , i f s l i g h t d i f i c u l t i e s
a r e e n c o u n t e r e d f o l l o w i n g t h i s o p e r -
ation, contact a PEUGEOT dealer.
