Pull the lid to open the ashtray.
To empty it after opening, press the
tab and remove the ashtray.

To empty this, open it fully (past the
point of resistance) then pull on the
receptacle to remove it.

It contains three sockets * B for con-
necting video equipment.
The layout allows storage of a water
bottle, a pen, the vehicle handbook,
a pair of spectacles, tokens, etc.

When removing the mat on the driver’s
side:
- push the seat as far back as pos-sible,
- u n s c r e w t h e i x i n g s f u l l y ,
- r e m o v e t h e i x i n g s , t h e n t h e m a t .
FITTING/REMOVING THE MAT
W h e n r e i t t i n g , p o s i t i o n t h e
mat correctly and replace the
i x i n g s b y p r e s s i n g t h e m i n .
Ensure that the mat is se-
cured correctly.
To avoid any risk of jamming of the
pedals:
- ensure that the mat is positioned correctly.
- n e v e r i t o n e m a t o n t o p o f a n o t h e r .
Lower the armrest to access the
storage shelf on the seat back.
Lift the lid. It contains a storage
tray as well as two can holders
and two pen holders.

ENTERTAINMENT SCREEN KIT
This video assembly will enable the
rear passengers to pass the time
pleasantly while watching their fa-
v o u r i t e i l m o r p l a y i n g t h e i r f a v o u r i t e
game, by means, in particular, of the
connection of a DVD player or games
c o n s o l e t o t h e c e n t r a l s u p p o r t , i t t e d
between the front seats.
The entertainment screen kit con-
sists of:
- a 16/9 ths , 7 inch, LCD colour monitor with direction adjustment
i n t h e t h r e e a x e s ,
- two high frequency, wireless, ste- reo headphones,
- a removable support,
- three audio/video sockets on the i x e d b a s e a n d i n t h e g l o v e c o m -
partment.
The monitor and the support can be
removed and stored, each in their
own protective cover.
The entertainment screen kit accepts
all types of audio/video source, PAL/
NTSC compatible, such as: DVD
player, camcorder, games console, ...
These sources are connected to the
three audio/video sockets, AV1 in the
glove compartment or AV2 on the
i x e d b a s e .

1. Rear parcel shelf
To remove the shelf:
- unhook the two strings,
- slightly raise the shelf, then remove it.
The shelf can be stored:
- either behind the front seats,
- or behind the rear seat.

Hooked onto the stowing rings, this
enables your luggage to be secured.

This is a lighter type socket, installed
on the left-hand side of the parcel
shelf.

Secure the net hooks in the stowing
r i n g s o n t h e l o o r o r o n t h e f o l d e d
r e a r s e a t ( t w o h o r i z o n t a l p o s i t i o n s ) o r
secure the net hooks in the stowing
rings on the boot pillars and in the
l o o r r i n g s a t t h e r e a r o f t h e b o o t ( o n e
vertical position).
7. 12 volt socket (100 W max)
This is a lighter type socket, installed
on the load space cover left support.
It is supplied from the "Running"

The high load retaining net can be
installed behind the front or rear
seats.
Open the covers of the corresponding
u p p e r i x i n g s .
Fit the ends of the metal bar in these
i x i n g s .
To install the high load retaining net:
- behind the front seats, lift the rear
seat cushion, hook the net straps
o n t h e i x i n g s t h e n f o l d t h e r e a r
seat;
- behind the rear seat, hook the net straps in the stowing rings on the
l o o r .
The rings are located directly below
t h e c o r r e s p o n d i n g u p p e r i x i n g s .
Pull the two straps taut.
9. Grab handles and coat hooks
1. Load space cover
To install it:
- position the front ends of the
cover on its support and press
gently to put it in place,
- unfold the cover fully,
- position the rear ends of the cover on its support and press gently to
put it in place.
To remove it:
- unclip the rear ends,
- fold the cover fully,
- unclip the front ends and remove the cover.
To store it, slide it under the rear
seats (location A ).

It is also possible to switch them off

Change the damaged wheel (punc-
t u r e d o r v e r y d e l a t e d t y r e ) , a n d h a v e
the tyre pressure checked as soon
a s p o s s i b l e .

comes on on the instrument
panel, accompanied by an
audible signal and a mes-
sage on the multifunction
display locating the wheel or wheels
which are not detected or indicating a
f a u l t i n t h e s y s t e m .
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer to re-
p l a c e t h e f a u l t y s e n s o r ( s ) . All repairs and changing of
t y r e s o n a w h e e l i t t e d w i t h
this system must be carried
o u t b y a P E U G E O T d e a l e r .
If, when changing a tyre, you install
a wheel which is not detected by
y o u r v e h i c l e ( e x a m p l e : i t t i n g o f s n o w
t y r e s ) , y o u m u s t h a v e t h e s y s t e m

The tyre pressures must be checked
c o l d , a t l e a s t o n c e a m o n t h . R e -
member to check the pressure of the
s p a r e w h e e l .
T h e t y r e u n d e r - i n l a t i o n d e t e c t i o n
s y s t e m m a y e x p e r i e n c e t e m p o r a r y
interference due to radioelectric
emissions on a frequency close to
t h a t u s e d b y t h e s y s t e m .

EMERGENCY BRAKING ASSISTANCE SYSTEM
In an emergency, this system ena-
bles the optimum braking pressure to
be reached more quickly, thus reduc-
i n g t h e s t o p p i n g d i s t a n c e .
It is triggered by the speed at which
t h e b r a k e p e d a l i s a c t i v a t e d . T h e e f -
fect of this is a reduction in the resist-
ance of the pedal and an increase in
b r a k i n g e f i c i e n c y .
ANTI-LOCK BRAKING SYSTEM (ABS) AND ELECTRONIC BRAKE FORCE DISTRIBUTION (EBFD)
The ABS, in conjunction with the
electronic brake force distribution,
increases the stability and manoeu-
v r a b i l i t y o f y o u r v e h i c l e o n b r a k i n g ,
in particular on poor or slippery road
s u r f a c e s .
Note: when changing wheels (tyres
a n d r i m s ) , m a k e s u r e t h a t t h e s e a r e
a p p r o v e d .
The anti-lock braking system comes
into operation automatically when
t h e r e i s a r i s k o f w h e e l l o c k .
When this warning light
comes on, accompanied
by a buzzer and a mes-
sage, it indicates that there
is a malfunction of the ABS,
which can cause a loss of control of
t h e v e h i c l e w h e n b r a k i n g . When this warning light
comes on, connected to
the
STOP and ABS warn-
ing lights, accompanied by
a buzzer and a message,
it indicates that there is a
malfunction of the electronic brake
force distribution, which can cause
a l o s s o f c o n t r o l o f t h e v e h i c l e w h e n
b r a k i n g .
Stop immediately.
In both cases, consult a PEUGEOT
d e a l e r .
Normal operation of the ABS may
m a k e i t s e l f f e l t b y s l i g h t v i b r a t i o n s
o f t h e b r a k e p e d a l .
In emergency braking, press
v e r y i r m l y w i t h o u t r e l e a s i n g t h e
pressure.
