GLOVE BOX WITH LOCK AND AIR CONDITIONING
This has areas for storing a bottle of
water, the vehicle's handbook pack, ...
Its lid has areas for storing a pen, a pair
of spectacles, tokens, cards, a can...
It is also locked or unlocked when the
vehicle is locked or unlocked using the
remote control or the key.
To open the glove box, raise the
handle.
The light comes on when the lid is
opened.
I f t h e v e h i c l e i s fi t t e d w i t h a i r c o n d i t i o n i n g ,
it provides access to the air vent A , which
can be opened or closed, distributing the
same conditioned air as the vents in the
passenger compartment.
SUN VISOR
Component which protects against
sunlight from the front or the side, also
equipped with an illuminated courtesy
mirror.
With the ignition on, raise the
c o n c e a l i n g fl a p ; t h e m i r r o r i s l i t
automatically.
This sun visor is also equipped with a
ticket holder.
BAG HOOK
Press the lower part of the hook to
unfold it.
Hang the strap of your bag on the
hook to secure it.

Fitting

Removal
To remove the mat on the driver's side:
move the seat as far back as possible,
u n c l i p t h e fi x i n g s
remove the mat.
12 V ACCESSORIES SOCKET
To connect a 12 V accessory (max
power: 120 Watts), remove the cover
and connect a suitable adaptor.
ASHTRAY WITH LIGHT
Pull the drawer to gain access to the
ashtray.
To empty the ashtray, after opening,
press the tab and remove the ashtray.

Hooked onto the stowing rings, this ena-
bles you to secure your luggage.
Luggage retaining net
Raise the boot carpet to gain access
to the storage box.
Hook the boot carpet on the boot
seal using its handle.
This has areas for storing the windstop
and two warning triangles.
By removing this box you gain access
to the puncture repair kit and the tools.

When the boot screen is unfolded,
check that the luggage:
- never raises it,
- is never placed on top of it.
The load space cover must always
be unfolded before a roof opening
manoeuvre is triggered (refer to the
"Familiarisation - § Opening" section).

The driver must ensure that passen-
gers use the seat belts correctly and
that they are all restrained securely
before setting off.
Wherever you are seated in the ve-
hicle, always fasten your seat belt,
e v e n f o r s h o r t j o u r n e y s .
Do not invert the seat belt buckles as
t h e y w i l l n o t f u l fi l t h e i r r o l e f u l l y .
T h e s e a t b e l t s a r e fi t t e d w i t h a n i n e r t i a
r e e l p e r m i t t i n g a u t o m a t i c a d j u s t m e n t
of the length of the strap to your size.
The seat belt is stored automatically
when not in use.
Before and after use, ensure that the
seat belt is rolled up correctly.
The lower part of the strap must be
positioned as low as possible on the
pelvis.
The upper part must be positioned in
the hollow of the shoulder.
T h e i n e r t i a r e e l s a r e fi t t e d w i t h a n a u -
tomatic locking device which comes
into operation in the event of a colli-
sion, emergency braking or if the ve-
hicle rolls over. You can release the
device by pulling rapidly on the strap
and releasing it. In order to be effective, a seat belt:
- must be tightened as close to the
body as possible,
- must restrain one person of adult size only,
- must not bear any trace of cuts or fraying,
- must be pulled in front of you with a smooth movement, checking
that it does not twist,
- m u s t n o t b e t r a n s f o r m e d o r m o d i fi e d to avoid altering its performance.
In accordance with current safety regu-
lations, all repairs and checks must be
carried out by a PEUGEOT dealer who
guarantees that the work is carried out
correctly.
Have your seat belts checked regu-
larly by a PEUGEOT dealer and par-
ticularly if the straps show signs of
damage.
Clean the seat belt straps with soapy
water or a textile cleaning product,
sold by PEUGEOT dealers.
After folding or moving a seat or rear
bench seat, ensure that the seat belt
is positioned and rolled up correctly. Recommendations for children
Use a suitable child seat if the pas-
senger is less than 12 years old or
s h o r t e r t h a n o n e m e t r e fi f t y .
Never use the same seat belt to secure
more than one person.
Never allow a child to travel on your
lap.
Depending on the nature and se-
riousness of the impacts, the pre-
tensioning device may be triggered
before and independently of the air
bags. Triggering of the pre-tensioners
is accompanied by a slight discharge
of harmless smoke and a noise, due
to the activation of the pyrotechnic
cartridge incorporated in the system.
In all cases, the air bag warning light
comes on.
Following an impact, have the seat
belts system checked, and if necessary
replaced, by a PEUGEOT dealer.

(d) To install a child seat, move the front seat forw ard, then put the seat back in the upright position to leave enough space for

CHECKS
BONNET
Protects the components of the engine
and provides access for checking levels.
Push the exterior control B to the left
and raise the bonnet.
Unclip the strut C from its housing.
Fix the strut in the notch to hold the
bonnet open. Closing
Take the strut out of the support
notch.
Clip the strut in its housing.
Lower the bonnet and release it at
the end of its travel.
Pull on the bonnet to check that it is
secured correctly.
Opening
Open the front left door.
Pull the interior control A , located at
the bottom of the door frame. The location of the interior control
prevents opening of the bonnet
while the front left door is closed.
