PRACTICAL INFORMATION
After changing a wheel
To store the punctured wheel in the
b o o t c o r r e c t l y , fi r s t r e m o v e t h e c e n -
tral cover.
When using the "space-saver" type
s p a r e w h e e l , d o n o t e x c e e d 5 0 m p h
( 8 0 k m / h ) .
Have the tightening of the bolts and
the pressure of the spare wheel
checked by a PEUGEOT dealer
without delay.
Have the punctured wheel repaired
and replace it on the vehicle as
soon as possible.
Fitting the wheel
List of operations
Put the wheel in place on the hub.
Screw in the bolts by hand to the
stop.
Pre-tighten the security bolt using
the wheelbrace 1 fi t t e d w i t h t h e
security socket 3 .
Pre-tighten the other bolts using the
wheelbrace 1 only.
Lower the vehicle fully.
Fold the jack 2 and detach it.
Tighten the security bolt using the
wheelbrace 1 fi t t e d w i t h t h e s e c u r i t y
socket 3 .
Tighten the other bolts using the
wheelbrace 1 only.

with a new bulb without the use of
tools. Model with halogen headlamps

Model with xenon and dir
ectional
headlamps
T h e h e a d l a m p s a r e fi t t e d w i t h p o l y -
carbonate glass with a protective
c o a t i n g :
do not clean them using a dry
or abrasive cloth, nor with a
detergent or solvent product,
use a sponge and soapy water,
when using a high pressure
washer on persistent marks,
do not direct at the lamps or
their outlines for too long, so as
not to damage their protective
coating and seals.
Do not touch the bulb directly
w i t h y o u r fi n g e r s , u s e l i n t - f r e e
cloths.
Changing a halogen bulb should
only be done after the headlamp
has been switched off for a few
m i n u t e s ( r i s k o f s e r i o u s b u r n s ) .
It is imperative to use only anti-ul-
t r a v i o l e t ( U V ) t y p e b u l b s i n o r d e r
not to damage the headlamp. Front lamps

Changing main beam headlamp
bulbs
Remove the protective cover by
pulling on the tab.
Disconnect the bulb connector.
Compress the springs to release the
bulb.
Remove the bulb and change it

Changing daytime running lamp/
sidelamp bulbs
Remove the protective cover by
pulling on the tab.
Disconnect the bulb connector.
Turn the bulb holder a quarter of a
t u r n a n d e x t r a c t i t .
Pull the bulb and change it.

verse order.
Changing dipped beam headlamp
bulbs
Remove the protective cover by
pulling on the tab.
Disconnect the bulb connector.
Spread the springs to release the
bulb.
E x t r a c t t h e b u l b a n d c h a n g e i t .
T o r e fi t , c a r r y o u t t h e s e o p e r a t i o n s i n r e -
verse order.
Changing direction indicator bulbs
Turn the bulb holder a quarter of a
t u r n a n d e x t r a c t i t .
Pull the bulb and change it.
T o r e fi t , c a r r y o u t t h e s e o p e r a t i o n s i n r e -
verse order.
Amber or silver coloured bulbs,
such as the direction indicators,
must be replaced with bulbs of
i d e n t i c a l s p e c i fi c a t i o n s a n d c o l o u r .
W h e n r e fi t t i n g , c l o s e t h e p r o t e c t i v e
cover carefully to assure the seal-
ing of the headlamp.

Insert a screwdriver towards the
centre of the repeater between the
repeater and the base of the mirror.
T i l t t h e s c r e w d r i v e r t o e x t r a c t t h e
repeater and remove it.
Disconnect the repeater connector.
T o r e fi t , c a r r y o u t t h e s e o p e r a t i o n s i n r e -
verse order.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer to obtain
replacement repeaters.
Changing integrated direction
indicator side repeaters
To replace these bulbs consult a
PEUGEOT dealer.

Changing third brake lamp bulbs
(4 bulbs W5W)
Unclip the tailgate upper trim from
left to right.
U n s c r e w t h e t w o l a m p fi x i n g n u t s A .
Unclip the lamp's central pin.
E x t r a c t t h e l a m p f r o m t h e o u t s i d e .
Disconnect the bulb holder connector
and the wash-wipe pipe.
Unclip the bulb holder from the lamp
by pressing on the two tabs B .
Pull the bulb and change it.
T o r e fi t , c a r r y o u t t h e s e o p e r a t i o n s i n r e -
verse order.
Do not apply force to the lamp when
tightening the nuts. Changing the number plate lamp
bulbs (W5W)
Insert a thin screwdriver into one of
the outer holes of the lens.
Push it outwards to unclip.
Remove the lens.
Pull the bulb and change it.

Take care to engage the lamp in its
guides keeping it in line with the vehicle.

Changing the number plate lamp
bulbs (W5W)
Insert a thin screwdriver into one of
the outer holes of the lens.
Push it outwards to unclip.
Remove the lens.
Pull the bulb and change it. Changing the third brake lamp
(SW - 4 bulbs W5W)
R e m o v e t h e t w o l a m p fi x i n g n u t s A .
Take out the lamp from the outside.
Disconnect the connector and the
screenwash pipe from the lamp.
Turn the bulb holder corresponding
to the faulty bulb a quarter of a turn.
Pull the bulb and change it.
T o r e fi t , c a r r y o u t t h e s e o p e r a t i o n s i n r e -
verse order.
Do not force the lamp when tightening
the nuts. Changing the third brake lamp
(SW - diodes)
On the versions with opening rear
screen, for the replacement of this type
of diode lamp, contact a PEUGEOT
dealer.

CHANGING A FUSE
Access to the tools
T h e e x t r a c t i o n p l i e r s a n d t h e s p a r e f u s -
es are installed on the back of the dash-
b o a r d f u s e b o x c o v e r .
F o r a c c e s s t o t h e m :
o p e n t h e g l o v e b o x l i d ,
push the opening guide to the left to
o p e n t o b e y o n d t h e fi r s t n o t c h ,
o p e n t h e g l o v e b o x l i d f u l l y ,
turn the screw a quarter of a turn to
the left,
u n c l i p t h e f u s e b o x c o v e r b y p u l l i n g
at the top right,
remove the cover completely,
remove the pliers. Changing a fuse
B e f o r e c h a n g i n g a f u s e , t h e c a u s e o f
t h e f a i l u r e m u s t b e i d e n t i fi e d a n d r e c t i -
fi e d .
Identify the faulty fuse by checking
t h e c o n d i t i o n o f i t s fi l a m e n t .
U s e t h e s p e c i a l p l i e r s t o e x t r a c t t h e
fuse from its housing.
Always replace the faulty fuse with a
fuse of the same rating.
Check the correspondence between
t h e n u m b e r e t c h e d o n t h e b o x , t h e
rating etched on the fuse and the
tables below.
