To open from outside
To unlock either of the front doors, insert the key fully and turn ittowards the front of the vehicle, orunlock using the remote control. Pull the handle towards you.Opening from insidePull the handle towards you, whether the door is locked or not.
Locking from inside The locking button on the driver's door controls the electric centrallocking. Push the button down,with the front doors closed, to lockthe vehicle

Opening from outside Unlock the sliding door lock by using the remote control.
To open,push the handle towards the rear of the vehicle and slide the door
as far as the retaining stop. The sliding door locks in position, and will not slide shut if, for example, the vehicle is parked on a slope.
To close, push the handle towards the front of the vehicle and slide the
door.

To release the bonnet, pull the red
lever, which is on the door sideunder the dashboard, towardsyou.Place your hand under the bonnet,slightly to the left of the centrepoint. Push latch

the bonnet, to the right.Raise the bonnet.Use the bonnet stay to lock the bonnet in position, as shownabove. Closing the bonnet Replace the bonnet stay in its hol- der by pressing it. Lower the bon-net and then allow it to drop shut. Make sure that it has latched
securely.
WARNING : As the bonnet is fit-
ted with sound-proofing it is
heavy, take care when openingand closing.

Key-locked filler cap
To open, turn the key a quarter of a turn towards the rearof the vehicle.
Caution
The shape of the filler cap matches the curve of the vehicle body, position the cap as illustrated. The right hand sliding side door * cannot be opened when the filler cap has been removed. Fuel tank capacity : approximately 12 gallons (55 litres), petrol
approximately 13 gallons (60 litres), diesel.
Fuel quality*Approved fuels are indicated on an adhesive label attached close to the fuel filler opening.
16I-5FILLING WITH FUEL
Petrol engines are designed to run on RON 95 fuel; however, for better vehicle performance (petrol engines), we recommend RON 98. * According to specification or country.

CAUTION : If the tank is filled with a fuel which is incorrect for your vehicleÕs engine, it is essential to drain the tank before starting the engine.

You can adjust the height of the steering wheel.
With the vehicle stationary,firstly adjust your seat to the best position.
Release the steering wheel by pushing the handle forwards.
18I-7ADJUSTING THE STEERING WHEEL
Adjust the steering wheel to the desired height, then lock it in position by pulling the handle fully towards you. Make sure that the instrument panel dials and indicator lights remain clear- ly visible.
IMPORTANT
For safety reasons, these manoeuvres must not be performed while driving.

Direction indicators Left: move the stalk downwards. Right: move the stalk upwards.
To signal a change of direction, move the stalk past the point of resistance. The signal will cancel automatically as the steering wheel returns.
36I-16SIGNALLING
Horn Press the end of the stalk. Headlamp flash Flick the stalk gently towards you.
It is possible to flash the headlamps when the engine is switched off. Hazard warning This operates all the direction indicators at the same time.
Use it only in case of danger,for an emergency stop or in exceptional dri-
ving circumstances.
It can also operate when the ignition is off.The direction indicators will not operate if the vehicle is driven with the hazard warning lights on.

Pull the stalk fully towards you to switch between dipped beam/main beam. Lights on buzzer
It operates when a front door is opened with the ignition off, to indicate that the headlamps are still on. It stops when the door is closed, the headlamps
are switched off or if the ignition is switched on.
Timed illumination of the headlamps
Immediately after switching off ignition, pull the control stalk towards you : the headlamps will come on and then go out automatically after a minute.This will help you, for example, to find your way out of a poorly lit car-park. * According to specification.

For screen wash and wipe: turn the ring for-wards.
On release: approximately fourwipes, then it stops. Electric demister* : Electric demister for rear screen or rear view mirrors or both simulta-
neously, according to specifica-
tion. The light indicating operation
switches off automatically afterapproximately 12 minutes to pre-vent excessive power consump-tion. Press once to stop thedemisting function. Press onceagain to restart for 12 minutes. The electric demister will only ope- rate when the engine is running.
