MANUAL CONTROLS
The lighting is controlled directly by the driver by means of the ring A
and the stalk B.
A.
Main lighting mode selection ring: turn it to position the symbol
required
facing the mark.
Lighting off / daytime running lamps.
Automatic illumination of headlamps.
B.
Stalk for switching headlamps: pull it to switch between dipped
headlamps / main beam headlamps.
In the lamps of
f and sidelamps modes, the driver can switch on the
main
beam headlamps temporarily ("headlamp flash") by maintaining a
pull on the stalk.Sidelamps only
.
Dipped or main beam headlamps.
dISPLAYS
Lighting of the corresponding indicator lamp on the instrument panel
confirms the switching on of the lighting selected.
The instrument panel has permanent back-lighting, both day and night.
In this case, illumination of the instrument panel is not linked to the \
exterior lighting.

LIGHTING
Operating fault
In the event of a malfunction of the sunshine sensor, the
lighting comes on, this warning lamp is displayed in the
instrument panel and/or a message appears in the screen,
accompanied by an audible signal.
Contact
a
PEUGEOT
dealer or a qualified workshop.
In
fog
or snow, the sunshine sensor may detect sufficient light. In
this case, the lighting will not come on automatically
.
Do not cover the sunshine sensor, coupled with the rain sensor
and located in the centre of the windscreen behind the rear view
mirror; the associated functions would no longer be controlled. When the automatic illumination of headlamps function is activated
(lighting control stalk in the "
AUTO" position), under low ambient light
the dipped beams headlamps come on automatically when the ignition
is switched off.
Programming
Activation or deactivation, as well as the duration of the guide-me-home\
lighting, is set in the vehicle configuration menu.

If a malfunction occurs, this warning lamp is displayed on the
instrument panel, accompanied by an audible signal and a
message in the screen.
The system then places your headlamps in the lowest position.
Initial setting is position "0". Do not touch the xenon headlamp bulbs.

DIRECTIONAL LIGHTING
When the dipped or main beam headlamps are on, this function enables
the light beams to provide improved lighting of the side of the road when
cornering.
The use of this function, from approximately 12 mph (20 km/h) and
associated with the xenon headlamps only, considerably improves the
quality
of your lighting when cornering.

then the windscreen wipers operate for a fixed period.
The headlamp washers only operate when the dipped or main beam
headlamps are on, with the vehicle moving .
Screenwash/headlamp wash low
In the case of vehicles fitted with headlamp washers, when the minimum level of the reservoir is reached, this warning
lamp and/or the service warning lamp is displayed in the
instrument panel, accompanied by an audible signal and a
message in the screen.

TRAjECTORY CONTROL SYSTEMS
dYNAMIC STABILITY CONTROL ( d SC) AN d
ANTI
- SLIP
REGULATION (ASR)
The anti-slip regulation (also known as traction control) optimises
traction to prevent skidding of the wheels, by acting on the brakes of t\
he
driving wheels and on the engine.
The electronic stability control acts on the brake of one or more wheels\
and
on the engine to keep the vehicle on the trajectory required by the
driver
, within the limits of the laws of physics.
Activation
These systems are activated automatically each time the vehicle is
started.
These systems act on the operation of the engine and brakes as soon
as they detect a problem of grip or trajectory. This
is indicated by flashing of this warning lamp in the
instrument panel.
SNOW dRIVING ASSISTANCE
(I NTELLIGENT T RACTION C ONTROL )
Your vehicle has a system to help driving on snow: Intelligent Traction
Control.
This
automatic system continuously checks for situations of difficult
surface
adhesion that could make it difficult to move off or make
progress on deep fresh snow or compacted snow
.
In these situations, Intelligent Traction Control limits the amount of
wheel slip to provide the best traction and trajectory control.
In extremely severe conditions (deep snow, mud…), it can be useful to
temporarily deactivate the dynamic stability control and wheel anti-
slip systems to allow a degree of wheel spin and so recover grip.
It is recommended that the system be reactivated as soon as possible.
Snow tyres are strongly recommended on surfaces offering low levels
of adhesion.

ACTIVE BONNET
Operating fault
The active bonnet has been designed to maximise the safety of
pedestrians in the event of an impact with the front of the vehicle. The deployment of the active bonnet is accompanied by a slight
emission of harmless smoke and a noise, due to the activation
of the pyrotechnic cartridge integrated in the system. The airbag
warning lamp comes on.
After deployment, close the bonnet by pressing on the hinges.
Go
to the nearest PEUGEOT
dealer or a qualified workshop at a
maximum speed of 20 mph (30 km/h). This system can only operate once. If a second impact occurs
(during
the same or a subsequent accident), the active bonnet will
not operate.
After an accident or theft of the vehicle, have the system checked.
Do not handle the pyrotechnic systems, located under the bonnet
near the struts: risk of explosion.
All work on this system must be carried out only by the skilled
personnel
of a PEUGEOT
dealer or a qualified workshop.
If this warning lamp comes on on the instrument panel,
accompanied by an audible signal and a message in the
screen,
contact a PEUGEOT
dealer or a qualified workshop to
have the system checked.
The active bonnet may no longer
be deployed in the event of an impact.

Reactivation
When you remove the child seat, turn the switch to the "ON" position to
reactivate the airbag and so assure the safety of your front passenger i\
n
the event of an impact.
With the ignition on, this warning lamp comes on in the seat
belt and passenger's front airbag warning lamps display for
approximately one minute, if the passenger's front airbag is
activated.
Operating fault
If this warning lamp comes on in the instrument panel,
accompanied by an audible warning and a message in the
screen, contact a PEUGEOT
dealer or a qualified workshop
to have the system checked.
The airbags may no longer be
deployed in the event of a serious impact.
LATERAL AIRBAGS
System which protects the driver and front passenger in the event of a
violent side impact in order to limit the risks of injury to the pelvis,\
chest
and head*.
The lateral airbags are installed on the outer side of the seat:
-
one part in the front seat frame (chest-pelvis airbag),
-
one part in the front head restraint* (head airbag).
deployment
It is deployed unilaterally in the event of a violent impact applied to \
all or part of the side impact zone B, operating at right angles to the
longitudinal axis of the vehicle in a horizontal plane and from the
exterior of the vehicle towards the interior.
The lateral airbag comes between the front occupant of the vehicle and
the corresponding door trim panel.
* Except for the 1.6 THP 270 hp version.
