Powersteeringisassistedbyhydraulicauxiliaryforces.Thehydraulicfluidreservoirislocatedintheenginecompartment.
Note
Theflownoiseheardatfullsteeringlockisdesign-relatedanddoesnotindicateadefectinthesteeringsystem.
Warning!
Riskofaccidentresultinginseriouspersonalinjuryordeath.Whentheengineisstopped(e.g.whenbeingtowed)orthehydraulicsystemfails,thereisnoassistanceforsteering.Therefore,substantiallymoreforcewillhavetobeexertedinordertosteer.
Exercisegreatcarewhenbeingtowed.
HavethefaultremediedatyournearestauthorizedPorschedealer.

Pleaseobservethechapter”CAPACITIES”onpage335.
Checkthefluidlevelwiththeenginestoppedandcold(approximately68°F/20°C).
1.Opentheenginecompartmentlid.
2.Openthereservoircap.
3.Wipemeasuringrod.Closecapandreopen.Thefluidlevelshouldlieintheareabelowthe“Cold”marking.Addhydraulicfluidifnecessary.
4.Closecapcarefully.Closeenginecompart-mentlid.
Noticeablelossoffluidindicatesleakageinthesystem.ThecauseshouldberemediedimmediatelyatanauthorizedPorschedealer.

Removingauxiliaryheadlight
Thereleasecardfortheauxiliaryheadlightsisinsidethevehiclefolder.
1.Insertreleasecardatthesideoftheauxiliaryheadlight.Theauxiliaryheadlightisreleasedbypushinginthecard.Thecardmayhavetobepushedagaintoreleasethesecondconnection.
2.Removeauxiliaryheadlight.EnsurethattheventhoseDisnotlostwhentheauxiliaryheadlightispulledout.

Installingauxiliaryheadlight
Ensurethatthecablesareinsidetheguide(arrows)properly.
Caution!
Riskofpaintdamageiftheauxiliaryheadlightisinsertedintothefrontapronwhentilted.
Exercisecautionwheninsertingtheauxiliaryheadlightintotheguidesofthefrontapron.
EnsurethattheguideofthehousingisinsertedintotheguideAofthefrontapron.
Pushauxiliaryheadlightintothefrontapronuntilitisfelttoengage.
