Useappropriatechildrestraintsystemsforallsmallchildren.

Properwearingofsafetybelts
Safetybeltsmustbepositionedonthebodyastorestraintheupperbodyandlapfromslidingforward.Improperlypositionedsafetybeltscancauseseriouspersonalinjuryordeathincaseofanaccident.
Theshoulderbeltshouldalwaysrestonyourupperbody.Theshoulderbeltshouldneverbewornbehindyourbackorunderyourarm.
Formaximumeffectiveness,thelapbeltshouldbewornlowacrossthehips.
Pregnantwomenshouldpositionthebeltaslowaspossibleacrossthepelvis.Makesureitisnotpressingagainsttheabdomen.
Beltsshouldnotbeworntwisted.

Keepbeltbucklesfreeofanyobstructionthatmaypreventasecurelocking.
Beltsthathavebeensubjectedtoexcess-sivestretchforcesinanaccidentmustbeinspectedorreplacedtoensuretheircontin-uedeffectivenessinrestrainingyou.Thesameappliestobelttensionersystemswhichhavebeentriggered.Inaddition,theanchorpointsofthebeltsshouldbechecked.
Ifsafetybeltsdonotworkproperly,seeyourauthorizedPorschedealerimmediately.
Ifthebeltsshowdamagetowebbing,bind-ings,bucklesorretractors,theyshouldbereplacedtoensuresafeoperation.
Donotmodifyordisassemblethesafetybeltsinyourvehicle.

A-PASSENGERAIRBAGOFFindicatorlamp

Riskofseriouspersonalinjuryordeathtothechild,whenexcessiveforceisactingonthepassenger’sseatduetotheseatbelt.Insuchcases,thepassenger’sairbagcanbeswitchedonunintentionally.
Afterfasteningthechildrestraintsystem,donotadjusttheseat.
ChecktheconditionofthepassengerairbagsystemshownbytheindicatorlampAinthecentralconsole.
Activatingtheautomaticlockingretractor
1.Ifachildrestraintsystemmustbefastenedtothepassenger’sseat,adjustthepassenger’sseatasfarawayfromtheairbagaspossible.
2.Fastenchildseat.
3.Pullthesafetybeltretractorcompletelyout.Atthispointthelockingmechanismisactivated.
4.Insertthesafetybelttongueintothebuckleandmakecertainthatitisproperlylatched.Makenomoreadjustmentstotheseat.
5.Allowthesafetybelttoretractuntilitistightonthechildrestraintsystem.Youmayfurthertightenthebeltbypullingonittoallowmoreofittoretract.Makesurethatexcessiveseatbeltforcesdonotoccurbymovingtheseatwiththechildseatinstalled.
Releasingthesafetybelt
1.Unbucklethesafetybeltlatch.
2.Thenmakecertainthatthebelthasfullyretracted.Atthispointtheautomaticlockingfeaturewillbedisengaged.SeekappropriateadvicefromyourauthorizedPorschedealeraboutthepossibleinstallationofaPorschechildrestraintsystem.
