Toindicateyourintentionwhenchanginglanesonthefreeway,slightlyliftordepressthelevertotheresistancepoint.TheleverwillreturntotheOFFpositionwhenreleased.
Ifthefrequencyofthedisplaybecomesnoticeablefaster,checktheoperationoftheturnsignalbulbs.
Headlightasher
(Withignitiononoroff)
Toflashtheheadlightstooncommingmotor-ists,slightlypullthelevertowardthesteeringwheelandthenreleaseit.Theblueindicatorlightinthetachometerwillgoon/offasyoupull/releasethelever.
Parkinglight
Theparkinglightcanonlybeswitchedonwhentheignitionisswitchedoff.
Movetheleverupordowntoswitchontherightorleftparkinglight.

Warning!
Dangerofinjurywhenthewindshieldwipersoperateunintentionally.Riskofdamagetothewindshieldandwipersystem.
Avoidrunningthewiperbladesoveradrywindshieldtopreventscratchingtheglass.Spraywasherfluidonthewindshieldfirst.Ascratchedwindshieldwillreducevisibility.
Alwaysloosenwiperbladesfromfrozenglassbeforeoperatingwiperstopreventdamagetothewipermotororblades.
Alwaysswitchoffwindshieldwipersincarwashtopreventthemwipingunintentionally(intermittentorsensoroperation).
Alwaysswitchoffwindshieldwipersbeforecleaningthewindshieldtoavoidunintentionaloperation(intermittentorsensoroperation).
Donotoperatetheheadlightwasherincarwashes.

Thewasherspraysonlywhilelowbeamorhighbeamisswitchedon.
BrieflypushbuttonAtooperateheadlightwashersystem.
Ifheavilysoiled,repeatwash.
Theheadlightwashersystemautomaticallyspraysonceforeverytentimesthefrontwindshieldwashersystemisoperated.
Note
Thewindshieldwashernozzlesareheatedwhentheignitionison,asaprecautionagainstfreezing.

Onvehicleswithoutarainsensor,thewipingintervalscanbeadjustedinfoursteps.
Decreasingintervals
AdjustswitchAupwards.Thesettingisconfirmedbyonewipeofthewindshield.
Increasingintervals
AdjustswitchAdownwards.
Rainsensor
Invehicleswitharainsensortheamountofrainfall(snowfalltoo)whichhassettledonthewindshieldismeasured.Wiperspeedisautomaticallyadjustedaccordingly.
Switchingon
Movewiperleverupwardstothefirstclick.
Switchingoff
Movewiperlevertoposition0.
Therainsensorremainsswitchedoffifthewiperleverisalreadyinposition1whentheignitionisswitchedon.
Toswitchtherainsensoronagain:

Operatewindshieldwashersystem5or
Changethesensitivityoftherainsensorwithfour-stageswitchA.
Switch-onisconfirmedbyonewipeofthewind-shield.

Changingthesensitivityoftherainsensor
SensitivitycanbesetwithswitchAin4stages:
AdjustswitchAupwards-highsensitivity.Thesettingisconfirmedbyonewipeofthewindshield.
AdjustswitchAdownwards-lowsensitivity.
Maintenancenote
Periodicallycleanthewiperbladeswithawin-dowcleaner,especiallyafterthevehiclehasbeenwashedinacarwash.WerecommendPorschewindowcleaner.Iftheyareverydirty(e.g.withinsectremains),theycanbecleanedwithaspongeorcloth.
Ifthewiperbladesruborsqueak,thismaybeasaresultofthefollowing:
Ifthevehicleiswashedinanautomaticcarwash,waxresiduesmaybeadheringtothewindshield.Thesewaxresiduescanberemovedusingawindowcleanerconcentrate.

Movewiperleverforwardstothefirstclick.Therearwindowwiperwipesatpresetintervals.
Therearwiperisautomaticallyswitchedoffwhenaspeedof130mph(210km/h)isexceeded.Itisswitchedonagainwhenthespeedfallsbelow118mph(190km/h).
OnvehicleswiththeSportChronoPlusPackage,furtherrearwiperfunctionscanbeselectedviathePCM.

Theautomaticspeedcontrolmaintainsanyselectedspeedbetween15mphand145mph(30km/hand240km/h)withoutyouhavingtousetheacceleratorpedal.Theautomaticspeedcontrolisoperatedwiththeleveronthesteeringwheel.
Warning!
Riskofanaccident,resultinginseriouspersonalinjuryordeath.Aconstantspeedmaynotbesafeinheavytrafc,oronwindingorslipperyroads.Withthespeedcontrolsystemengaged,theenginespeedwillnotreturntoidlewhenremovingthefootfromtheacceleratorpedal.
Donotusethespeedcontrolwhenitmaybeunsafetokeepthecarataconstantspeed.

Pushleverslightlyforwards(position1)(amaximumof10times).Thespeedisincreasedby1mph(1.6km/h)eachtime.
