Run fault finding on the UCH, component code 645.
Deal with any other faults.
Check that when the rear doors or the luggage compartment are opened, status ET551 Rear doors or luggage
compartment is OPEN and that when the rear doors or the luggage compartment are closed, status ET551 is
CLOSED.

Check that when each front door is opened, status ET489 Front doors is OPEN, and that when the rear doors or
the luggage compartment are closed, status ET551 is CLOSED.
If this is not the case (see87A, Passenger compartment connection unit, Interpretation of statuses).
If the fault is still present, check the insulation, continuity and the absence of interference resistance on the
following connection:
–87H between components 247 and 645.
If the connection is faulty and there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A, Electrical wiring repair,
Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the wiring, otherwise replace it.
If the fault is still present, contact the techline.
