PRESENT
OR
STOREDPARTICLE FILTER DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE SENSOR
CC.1 : Short circuit to + 12 V
CO.0 : Open circuit or short circuit to earth
1. DEF: Signal inconsistency
NOTESConditions for applying the fault finding procedure to a stored fault:
The fault is declared present after the engine is started or following a road test.
Special notes:
If the fault is present:
– the level 1 warning light is lit,
– the OBD warning light illuminates after three consecutive driving cycles
(starting + 5 seconds + switching off the ignition and waiting 1 minute).
– the particle filter fault finding procedure is inhibited,
– particle filter regeneration is inhibited.
Priorities when dealing with a number of faults:
Deal with fault DF011 Sensor supply voltage no. 1 first if it is present or stored.
Use CLIO III, MODUS, MEGANE II ph2, SCENIC II ph2 and Kangoo II Wiring
diagrams Technical Note.
Visually inspect the condition of the pressure pipes of the differential pressure sensor.
Check that they are sealed and in the correct position.
Check the connection and condition of the connector of the particle filter differential pressure sensor,
component code 1290 (see MR 392, 385, 364, 370 and 417, Mechanical, 19B, Exhaust, Particle filter
pressure sensor: Removal - Refitting).
If the connector is faulty and there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A, Electrical wiring repair,
Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the connector, otherwise replace the wiring.
Check the connection and condition of the injection computer connector, component code 120 (see MR 392,
385, 364, 370 and 417, Mechanical, 13B, Diesel injection, Diesel injection computer: Removal - Refitting).
If the connector is faulty and there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A, Electrical wiring repair,
Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the connector, otherwise replace the wiring.
Check the continuity, insulation and the absence of interference resistance on the following connections:
–3YD between components 1290 and 120,
–3AAM between components 1290 and 120,
–3TL between components 1290 and 120.
If the connection(s) are faulty and there is a repair method (see Technical Note 6015A, Repairing electrical
wiring, Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the wiring, otherwise replace it.
Connect a pressure gauge (fitted with a manual pump) to the sensor.
Vary the pressure between
0 and 1000 mbar and check that the value of parameter PR414 Particle filter
differential pressure is nearly identical.
If the fault is still present, contact the Techline.
AFTER REPAIRDeal with any faults displayed by the diagnostic tool.
Clear the computer fault memory.
Carry out a road test followed by another check with the diagnostic tool.

CC.0 : Short circuit to earth
CO.1 : Open circuit or short circuit to +12 V.
1. DEF: Micro-breaks
2. DEF: Signal outside lower limit
3. DEF: Signal inconsistency
NOTESConditions for applying the fault finding procedure to a stored fault:
The fault becomes present:
– with the ignition on (for status CC.0),
– after a road test with a warm engine (for status CO. 1).
Special notes:
If the fault is present:
– particle filter regeneration is inhibited,
– the level 1 warning light is lit,
– the OBD warning light illuminates after three consecutive driving cycles (starting + 5
seconds + switching off the ignition and waiting 1 minute).
IMPORTANT
The catalytic converter 1 downstream temperature sensor only measures
temperatures above 50°C.
Use CLIO III, MODUS, MEGANE II ph2, SCENIC II ph2 and Kangoo II Wiring
diagrams Technical Note.
Run command AC029 High pressure circuit sealing test and check PR810 Catalytic converter 1
downstream temperature.
If the catalytic converter 1 downstream temperature is above 80°C, then the sensor is correct, otherwise continue
the fault finding procedure.
Check the connection and condition of the connector of the catalytic converter 1 downstream temperature
sensor, component code 1765.
Measure the resistance of the catalytic converter 1 downstream temperature sensor, component code 1765
between connections 3AGX and 3AGY.

PREHEATING RELAY CONTROL
STATUS DEFINITION"ACTIVE": This status indicates that the preheating relay control is active.
"INACTIVE": This status indicates that the preheating relay control is not active.
NOTESSpecial notes:
Only perform these tests if the status does not correspond with the system
programming functions.
Conformity check with engine stopped and ignition on, or engine running, and engine coolant temperature
>80 °C
ACTIVE
The status is "ACTIVE" from when the ignition is switched on until the end of pre-
postheating.
The preheating duration varies according to:
●The engine coolant temperature,
●The atmospheric pressure
●The battery voltage.
If the status is inconsistent, consult the interpretation of fault DF017 "Preheating unit
control circuit".
INACTIVEThe status is "INACTIVE" when the engine is started and the engine coolant
temperature is more than 80 °C.
If the status is inconsistent, consult the interpretation of fault DF017 "Preheating unit
control circuit".
AFTER REPAIRCarry out a road test, then check with the diagnostic tool.

FUEL FLOW REGULATOR
STATUS DEFINITIONINACTIVE: This status indicates that the fuel pressure regulator is INACTIVE.
ACTIVE: This status indicates that the fuel pressure regulator is ACTIVE.
NOTESSpecial notes:
Only perform these tests if the status does not correspond with the system
programming functions.
This solenoid valve regulates the flow of fuel entering the high pressure pump and enables an optimum quantity
of fuel to be pressurised according to operating phase; this improves the output of the Common Rail pump and
thereby the output of the engine as well.
Conformity check with engine stopped and ignition on
ACTIVE
Conformity check with engine running, engine coolant temperature > 80 °C
If the status is ACTIVE, consult the interpretation of fault DF770 Flow regulator
circuit.
INACTIVE– Engine stopped.
– Engine running at idle speed.
ACTIVEThe status is ACTIVE when there is a high engine load.
If the status is INACTIVE with the engine at idle speed, consult the interpretation of fault
DF770 Flow regulator circuit.
INACTIVE– Engine running at idle speed.
