Remove the protective cap

Remove the bulb holder with the bulb by jiggling it out in the direction of the
arrow

Grasp the lamp socket at the places marked by arrows.
›
Remove the faulty bulb from the holder in the direction of the arrow

Push a new bulb into the bulb holder up to the stop.
›
Replace the bulb holder in the headlamp with the bulb.

Remove the protective grille and headlight

Insert the clamps for removing the full wheel covers into opening

Loosen the protective grille by pulling the hook in the direction of arrow

Grasp the guard with the hand and remove by pulling in the direction of the
arrow

›
Unscrew the screws

with the screwdriver from the tool kit » page 167.

Remove the headlight in the direction of arrow

Replacing the light bulb
›
Push in the latch on the connector in the direction of arrow

Remove the key in the direction of the arrow

›
Turn the socket with the bulb to the stop in the direction of the arrow

.
›
Remove the socket with the bulb in the direction of arrow

.
›
Insert the new bulb into the headlight and turn counter to the direction of
arrow

as far as the stop.
› Attach the connector.
Refit the headlight and grille›
Replace the fog light by inserting it in the opposite direction of the arrow

» Fig. 204 and tightening.
›
Insert the protective grille and carefully press it in.
The protective grille must engage firmly.
Changing the licence plate light bulb

Open the tailgate.
›
Push in the lamp in the direction of the arrow

The lamp comes loose.

Swivel out the lamp in the direction of the arrow

and remove it.

Remove the cap of the lamp in range

Insert a new bulb into the holder.

Clip in the cap of the lamp counter to the direction of arrow

Reinsert the lamp in the opposite direction to the arrow

Push on the light until the spring clicks into place.
Check that the light is securely inserted.

Shut the boot lid.

insert the clamps for removing the full wheel trims, di-
rected with the eyelet downward (in the right light with the eyelet upward).

Grasp the light with the palm of the hand and remove carefully in the direc-
tion of arrow

Press the latch

Fitting
›
Insert the bulb holder into the lamp.

›Carefully press the light into the pins on the bodywork

Ensure that the wiring harness does not become pinched between the body
and the lamp.›
Screw the light into place.
CAUTION
■ Ensure that the wiring harness does not become pinched between the body
and the lamp when it is being refitted – risk of damage to the electrical instal-
lation and risk of water ingress.■
If you are not sure whether the wiring harness has become pinched, we rec-
ommend that you have the light connection checked by a specialist garage.
■
Ensure that the vehicle paintwork and the tail lamp are not damaged when
removing and installing the tail lamp.

Turn the holder with the bulb

Remove the socket with the bulb from the lamp housing in the direction of
arrow

Jiggle the bulb to remove.

Insert a new bulb into the socket.
›
Reinsert the holder with the bulb into the lamp housing and turn in the op-
posite direction of the arrow

Release the bulb holder in the areas identified by arrows » Fig. 208.

Remove the holder from the lamp.
›
Turn the respective light bulb counter-clockwise to the stop and remove it
from the bulb holder.
›
Insert a new bulb into the holder and turn in a clockwise direction to the
stop.
›
Insert the bulb holder in the light.
The lamp holder must engage firmly.
›
Reinsert the holders with the bulbs into the lamp housing and turn in the op-
posite direction of the arrow
