4) Recovery of Set Speed (RESUME)
Even if the cruise control is cancelled, the previous set cruise speed can be recovered by pulling
up the cruise control lever when the current vehicle speed is over 36 km/h without an acceleration
intervention. But if you turn off the ignition switch, the memorized set speed is cleared and you
cannot recover the previous set speed.
But the driver should know the previous set speed to react to the changed vehicle speed
properly. If the vehicle speed increases abruptly, depress the brake pedal to adjust the vehicle
speed properly.

10-12
Do not move the shift lever to Neutral position while driving with the cruise control turned on.
Otherwise, it may result in system malfunction or accidents.
Always be prepared to use the brake or accelerator pedal for safe driving while the cruise
control system is running.
The actual speed can be different from the set speed momentarily when driving on a uphill
or downhill. So, it is recommended to disable the cruise control function on a uphill or
downhill. hen driving on a steep hill use the engine brake and foot brake properly to protect
the vehicle system and for a safe driving.
Ensure that the safe distance is maintained and use the brake pedal if needed. 1.
2.
3.
4.
(1) Abnormal Cancellation of the Cruise Control
When the rapid deceleration is applied without braking.
When the rapid acceleration is applied without acceleration pedal intervention.
When the cruise control lever is faulty.
When the brake switch and the brake light switch input signal are implausible. 1.
2.
3.
When the cruise control function is cancelled abnormally or intermittent problems occur, stop the
vehicle and turn off the ignition switch and remove the key to reset the system. After a while, turn
on the ignition switch again to operate the cruise control system.

1. CAUTIONS WHEN WORKING ON ELECTRICAL UNITS
80℃
10A 15A
Disconnect the negative cable from the
battery in advance when working on
electrical units. -
Make sure to turn "OFF" the ignition switch
and other lamp switches before
disconnecting or connecting the negative
battery cable. (Otherwise, semiconductor
parts can be damaged.)
Do not drop or appy excessive impact to
sensors and relays. -
If a fuse is blown, replace it with a fuse
which has the correct amperage rating. If
you use a fuse with higher capacity than
the specification, the component can be
damaged or catch fire. -

2. FUNCTIONS OF RK STICS
1) Wiper Control
(1) Wiper MIST and Washer Coupled Wiper
The wiper relay is turned on 0.3 seconds (T1) after turning “ON” the washer switch for 0.2 ~
0.59 seconds (T2) with the ignition key “ON”, and it is turned off when the parking terminal is
turned off. 1.
The wiper relay is turned on 0.3 seconds (T1) after turning “ON” the washer switch over 0.6
seconds (T2) with the ignition key “ON”, and it is turned on three times immediately after
turning off the washer switch. 2.

▶INT Switch Auto Position Reminder (Power-Up Reminder Wiper)
When turning off and on the auto INT switch, the system drives the wiper motor through
LOW relay regardless of communication with rain sensor.
When turning the INT-AUTO switch from the "OFF" to "ON" position with the ignition
switch in the "ON" mode, the LOW relay operates to drive the wiper motor for 1 cycle,
regardless of the rain sensor communication.
After that, when turning the INT-AUTO switch from the "OFF" to "ON" position, the LOW
relay operates to drive the wiper motor for 1 cycle only if data from the rain sensor
indicates rain drops. 1.
