The engine switch is in IGNITION ON mode.
■ The brightness of the instrument panel lights
When the headlight switch is turned to on, the brightness will be reduced
slightly unless the control dial is turned fully upward.

NOTICE
■ To prevent damage to the engine and its components
● Do not let the indicator needle of the tachometer enter the red zone, which
indicates the maximum engine speed.
● The engine may be overheating if the engine coolant temperature gauge is
in the red zone (H). In this case, immediately stop the vehicle in a safe
place, and check the engine after it has cooled completely. ( P. 457)

Displays the distance the vehicl

was last reset. Trip meters A and B can be used to record and d is-
play different distances independently.
Press and hold the display change button to reset.

Switching the display

■Average fuel consumption
Displays the average fuel consumption since the function was re set
• Press and hold the “DISP” switch to reset when the average fuel con-
sumption is displayed.
• Use the displayed average fuel consumption as a reference.

Current fuel consumption.
Displays the current rat e of fuel consumption
Use the displayed current fuel consumption as a reference.

Cruising range
Displays the estimated maximum distance that can be driven with
the quantity of fuel remaining
• This distance is computed based on your average fuel consumpti on. As
a result, the actual distance that can be driven may differ fro m that dis-
played.
• When only a small amount of fuel is added to the tank, the dis play may
not be updated.
When refueling, turn the engine switch off. If the vehicle is r efueled with-
out turning the engine switch off, the display may not be updat ed.

Elapsed time
Displays the elapsed time since it was last reset
Press and hold the “DISP” switch to reset when the elapsed time is dis-
played.

It is possible to customize the language, units and Eco Driving Indica-
tor Light settings usi ng the “DISP” switch.
When customizing vehicle features, ensure that the vehicle is p arked
in a safe place with the shift the shift lever to P and the par king brake
set.
Press the “DISP” switch to dis-
play the setting screen while
the vehicle is s topped, and then
press and hold the “DISP”
switch to display the customize
mode screen.
Press the “DISP” switch to
select the item to be set, then
press and hold the “DISP”
switch.
Press the “DISP” switch to
select the desired setting, and
then press and hold the “DISP”
switch.
To go back to the previous scree n or exit the customize mode, press
the “DISP” switch to select “EXIT”, and then press and hold the
“DISP” switch.

■Eco Driving Indicator
Eco Driving Indicator Light will not operate in the following c onditions:
● The shift lever is in anything other than D.
● The vehicle speed is approximately 80 mph (130 km/h) or higher.
■ When disconnecting and reco nnecting battery terminals
The following information data will be reset:
● Trip meter
● Elapsed time
● Average fuel consumption
If the trip meter was displayed last, the odometer will be disp layed after reset-
ting.

driving), Eco Driving Indicator Light will
turn on.
Eco Driving Indicator Zone Display
Suggests Zone of Eco driving with cur-
rent Eco driving ratio based on acceler-
ation.

Eco driving ratio based on acceleration
If the vehicle exceeds Zone of Eco driv-
ing, the right side of Eco Driving Indica-
tor Zone Display will blink and Eco
Driving Indicator Light will turn off.

Liquid crystal display
Small spots or light spots may appear on the display. This phen omenon is
characteristic of liquid crystal displays, and there is no prob lem continuing to
use the display.
■ Setting display automatic suspension
In the following situations, the setting display will be suspen ded.
● When a message appears.
● When the vehicle begins to move.
CAUTION
■The display at low temperatures
Allow the interior of the vehicle to warm up before using the d isplay. At
extremely low temperatures, the display monitor may respond slo wly, and
display changes may be delayed.
■ Cautions during setting up the display
As the engine needs to be running during setting up the display , ensure that
the vehicle is parked in a place with adequate ventilation. In a closed area
such as a garage, exhaust gases including harmful carbon monoxi de (CO)
may collect and enter the vehicle. This may lead to death or a serious
health hazard.
