Instrument cluster
The brightness of the instrument panel lights can be adjusted.
The brightness of some of the interior lights will be changed w hen the
brightness of the instrument panel lights is adjusted. ( P. 332)

■The meters and display illuminate when
The engine switch is in IGNITION ON mode.
■ Brightness of the meters (day mode and night mode)
●The brightness of the meters is changed between day mode and ni ght
mode.
• Day mode: When the tail lights are off or when the tail lights are on but
the surrounding area is bright
• Night mode: When the tail lights are on and the surrounding ar ea is dark
● When in night mode, the brightness will be reduced slightly unless the
meters are set to the maximum brightness level.
■ Outside temperature display
In the following situations, the correct outside temperature ma y not be dis-
played, or the display may take longer than normal to change:
● When stopped, or driving at low speeds (less than 16 mph [25 km/h])
● When the outside temperature has changed suddenly (at the entra nce/exit
of a garage, tunnel, etc.)
● When “ ” or “E” is displayed, the system may be malfunctioning.
Take your vehicle to your Toyota dealer.
NOTICE
■ To prevent damage to the engine and its components
● Do not let the indicator needle of the tachometer enter the red zone, which
indicates the maximum engine speed.
● The engine may be overheating if the engine coolant temperature gauge is
in the red zone (H). In this case, immediately stop the vehicle in a safe
place, and check the engine after it has cooled completely. ( P. 4 6 6 )

The multi-information display presents the driver with a variety of driv-
ing-related data, such as the cur rent outside temperature. The multi-
information display can also be used to change the display sett ings
and other settings.

Displays the operational status of the following systems:
• Dynamic radar cruise control with full-speed range ( P. 248)
• LDA (Lane Departure Alert with steering control) ( P. 238)
Speed limit display (vehicles with a navigation system) (U.S.A.

For clock settings, refer to “NAVIGATION AND MULTIMEDIA SYSTEM

Speedometer
The speedometer display can be enabled/disabled in on the mult i-
information display. ( P. 100)
When is selected, the speedometer may be displayed in the content
display area.

◆Using the content display area
The content display area is operated using the meter control
switches.

Call sending/receiving display
Linked with the hands-free system, sending or receiving call is dis-

GATION AND MULTIMEDIA S YSTEM OWNER’S MANUAL”.
*: When the screen can be scrolled or different content can be di splayed,
a mark, such as an arrow, will be displayed to suggest which sw itch to

Each time the switch is pressed,

not be updated.
When refueling, turn the engine switch off. If the vehicle is r efueled with-
out turning the engine switch off, the display may not be updat ed.
This distance is computed based on your average fuel consumption. As
a result, the actual distance that can be driven may differ fro m that dis-
played.

Use the meter control switches on the steering wheel to change

Operate the switches to select a desired item.
