Torque: 20 N·m (205 kgf·cm, 15 ft·lbf)

SLIDING ROOF
REMOVAL
1. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING
(See page BO–23 , BO–28 or BO–33)
2. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF GLASS
(a) Using a torx wrench, remove the 4 screws.
(b) Pull the glass upward to remove it.
3. REMOVE DRIVE GEAR
(a) Disconnect the connector.
(b) Remove the 2 screws and drive motor.
4. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF HOUSING
(a) Disconnect the 4 drain hoses from the housing.
(b) Remove the 8 bolts and 4 brackets.
(c) Remove the 2 bolts, 5 nuts and housing.

INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL SLIDING ROOF HOUSING
(a) Install the housing with the 2bolts and 5nuts.
(b) Install the 4 brackets with the 8 bolts.
(c) Connect the 4 drain hoses to the housing.
2. INSTALL DRIVE GEAR
(a) Install the drive motor with 2 screws.
(b) Connect the connector.
3. INSTALL SLIDING ROOF GLASS
(a) Push the glass upward to remove it.
(b) Install the 4 screws.
4. INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING

REMOVAL
1. REMOVE THESE PARTS:
(a) Remove the front door opening trims.
(b) Remove the front pillar garnishes.
(c) w/ Curtain Shield Airbag:
(1) Remove the 2 bolts.
(2) Pack the airbag with protection cover.
(3) Using a screwdriver, raise the pillar garnish cover.
(4) Remove the bolt, pillar garnish cover and front pillar
garnish.
NOTICE:
Protection rang is from instrument panel to ceiling.
(d) Remove the front door scuff plates.
(e) Remove the cowl side trims.
(f) Remove the rear door opening trims.
(g) Remove the rear door scuff plates.
(h) Remove the center pillar lower covers.
(i) Remove the front seats.
2. REMOVE STEERING WHEEL
(See Pub. No.RM599E on page SR–13)
3. REMOVE LOWER FINISH PANEL
(a) Remove the 2 screws and hood lock control lever.
(b) Remove the 2 screws and lower finish panel.
4. REMOVE THESE PARTS:
(See Pub. No.RM599E on page SR–13)
(a) Remove the column cover.
(b) Remove the combination switch.
(c) Remove the steering column.
5. REMOVE CLUSTER FINISH PANEL
(a) Remove the 2 screws.
(b) Using a screwdriver, remove the cluster finish panel, then
disconnect the connector.
HINT:
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
6. REMOVE COMBINATION METER

7. REMOVE NO.1 REGISTER
Using a screwdriver, remove the No.1 register.
HINT:
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
8. REMOVE NO.1 UNDER COVER
Using a screwdriver, remove the No.1 under cover.
HINT:
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
9. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR
Remove the 2 glove shaft and glove compartment door.
10. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE HOLE COVER
11. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX
(a) M/T:
Remove the shift lever knob.
(b) Remove the 2 bolts, 4 caps, 4 screws and rear console
box.
12. REMOVE CENTER CLUSTER FINISH PANEL
Using a screwdriver, remove the panel, then disconnect the
connectors.
13. REMOVE HEATER CONTROL ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 2 bolts and front passenger airbag assembly.
(b) Remove the 6 screws and 3 nuts.
15. REMOVE THESE PARTS:
(a) Remove the No.1 brace.
(b) Remove the reinforcement.

INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL THESE PARTS:
(a) Install the reinforcement.
(b) Install the No.1 brace.
2. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL
(a) Install the 6 screws and 3 nuts.
(b) Install the passenger airbag assembly with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 18 N·m (185 kgf·cm, 13 ft·lbf)
3. INSTALL HEATER CONTROL ASSEMBLY
(See Pub. No.RM599E on page AC–111)
4. INSTALL CENTER CLUSTER FINISH PANEL
Install the panel, then connect the connectors.
5. INSTALL REAR CONSOLE BOX
(a) Install the console box with the 2 bolts and 4 caps, 4
screws.
(b) M/T:
Install the shift lever knob.
6. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE HOLE COVER
7. INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR
Install the glove compartment door with the 2 glove shaft.
