4. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL
GARNISH NO.2
(a) Disengage the 5 clips and claw, and then remove the
instrument cluster finish panel garnish No.2.
(b) Disconnect the connectors.
5. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSY
CTR
(a) Remove the 2 screws .
(b) Disengage the 2 clips and remove the instrument panel
register assy CTR, and then disconnect the connectors.
6. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN COVER W/INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSY
(See Pub. No. RM1018E, page 50–9)
7. REMOVE COMBINATION METER ASSY
(a) Remove the 2 screws and disengage the 2 clips.
(b) Pull out the combination meter assy, and then disconnect
the connectors.
8. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSY
NO.1
(a) Insert a clip remover between the center of the instrument
panel register assy No.1 lower and the instrument panel
sub–assy upper to desengage the 2 claws (A) shown in
the illustration.

(b) Disengage the 2 claws (B) and remove the instrument
panel register assy No.1.
9. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSY NO.2
10. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSY
(a) Remove the screw.
(b) Deform the upper part of the glove compartment door
assy to release the stoppers.
(c) Pull the glove compartment door assy upward to remove
it.
11. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH
(a) Disengage the 2 clips, and remove the front pillar garnish
LH.
12. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH
HINT:
Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
13. DISCONNECT PASSENGER AIRBAG CONNECTOR (See Pub. No. RM1018E, page 60–29)

14. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB–ASSY UPPER W/INSTRUMENT PANEL PASSENGER
AIRBAG ASSY
(a) Remove the 2 screws and bolt .
(b) Disengage the 2 clips and 10 claws.
(c) Pull the instrument panel sub–assy upper w/ instrument panel passenger airbag assy rearward to re-
move it.
(d) Disconnect the connectors.
15. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB–ASSY (M/T
TRANSAXLE)
(a) Remove the floor shift shift lever knob sub–assy.

16. REMOVE CONSOLE PANEL SUB–ASSY UPPER
(a) Using a moulding remover, disengage the 4 clips.
(b) Disconnect the connectors, and remove the console pan-
el sub–assy upper.
17. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL
SUB–ASSY CENTER W/BRACKET (W/O RADIO)
(a) Remove the 4 bolts.
(b) Using a moulding remover, disengage the 4 clips.
(c) Disconnect the connector and remove the instrument
cluster finish panel sub–assy center w/ blacket.
18. REMOVE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY W/BRACKET (W/ RADIO) (See Pub. No. RM1018E, page
67–5)
19. REMOVE HORN BUTTON ASSY (See Pub. No. RM1018E, page 60–17)

23. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER
SUB–ASSY NO.1
(a) Remove the 2 screws .
(b) Disengage the claw and remove the instrument panel un-
der cover sub–assy No.1.

(a) Disengage the 8 claws and remove the front door scuff
plate LH.
28. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH
HINT:
Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
29. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH
(a) Remove the clip.
(b) Disengage the 2 clips and remove the cowl side trim
board LH.
30. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH
HINT:
Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.

(a) Disengage the 3 clips and remove the instrument panel
under cover sub–assy No.2.
32. REMOVE CONSOLE PANEL SUB–ASSY LOWER
(a) Remove the 2 screws .
(b) Disengage the 6 clips and remove the console panel sub–
assy lower.
33. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSY RR
(a) Disconnect the connector.
(b) Remove the 4 bolts , 4 screws and the console
box assy RR.

34. REMOVE HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT NO.2
(a) Remove the screw , clip and the heater to register duct
No.2.
35. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL LOWER ASSY
(a) Disconnect the hood lock control cable.
(b) Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips.
(c) Remove the 2 bolts and 7 screws or .
(d) Disengage the 5 wire harness clamps.
(e) Remove the instrument panel lower assy.
36. REMOVE OUTER MIRROR SWITCH ASSY W/BEZEL
37. REMOVE FUSE BOX OPENING COVER
38. REMOVE GLOVE BOX LAMP ASSY
39. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL BRACKET SUB–ASSY CENTER
(a) Remove the screw and the instrument panel bracket sub–assy center.
