nIlluminated entry system
Vehicles without a smart key system
When the interior light switch is in the door position, the interior light automat-
ically turns on/off according to the engine switch position, whether the doors
are locked/unlocked and whether the doors are open/closed.
Vehicles with a smart key system
When the interior light switch is in the door position, the interior light and
engine switch light automatically turn on/off according to engine switch mode,
the presence of the electronic key, whether the doors are locked/unlocked
and whether the doors are open/closed.
n To prevent battery discharge
The following lights will go off automatically after 20 minutes:
lFront interior light/personal lights
l Rear interior light
l Trunk light
n Customization
Setting (e.g. the time elapsed before lights turn off) can be changed.

CAUTION
nItems that should not be left in the storage spaces
Do not leave glasses, lighters or spray cans in the storage spaces, as this
may cause the following when cabin temperature becomes high:
lGlasses may be deformed by heat or cracked if they come into contact
with other stored items.
l Lighters or spray cans may explode. If they come into contact with other
stored items, the lighter may catch fire or the spray can may release gas,
causing a fire hazard.
n When driving or when the storag e compartments are not in use
Keep the lids closed.
In the event of sudden braking or sudden swerving, an accident may occur
due to an occupant being struck by an open lid or the items stored inside.

lWhen storing a bottle, close the cap.
l The bottle may not be stored depending on its size or shape.

CAUTION
n Items unsuitable for the bottle holder
Do not place anything other than a bottle in the bottle holders.
Other items may be thrown out of the holders in the event of an accident or
sudden braking and cause injury.
NOTICE
nItems that should not be st owed in the bottle holders
Put the cap on before stowing a bottle. Do not place open bottles in the bot-
tle holders, or glass or paper cups containing liquid. The contents may spill
and glass cups may break.

nAdjusting the size of the cup holder (front)
n Removing the cup holder insert (front)Remove the cup holder insert.
Change the cup holder insert position.
The cup holder insert may be removed for
cleaning.
CAUTION
n Items unsuitable for the cup holders
Do not place anything other than cups or aluminum cans in the cup holders.
Other items may be thrown out of the holders in the event of an accident or
sudden braking, causing injury. If possible, cover hot drinks to prevent
burns.

The temperature display shows temperatures within the range of -40F
(-40 C) to 122 F (50C).
n The outside temperature is displayed when

The engine switch is in the “ON” position.
Vehicles with a smart key system
The engine switch is in IGNITION ON mode.
n Display
In the following situations, the correct outside temperature may not be dis-
played, or the display may take longer than normal to change.
lWhen the vehicle is stopped, or moving at low speeds (less than 9 mph [15
km/h]).
l When the outside temperature has changed suddenly (at the entrance/exit
of a garage, tunnel, etc.)
n When “-- F” is displayed
The system may be malfunctioning. Take your vehicle to your Toyota dealer.
