Multi-information display (Type B)
The multi-information display presents the driver with a variety of vehi-
cle data.
The following information will be
displayed when a menu icon is
selected.
Menu icons are displayed for a
few seconds when the meter con-
trol switches ( P. 152) are oper-
ated.
On the area, normally the outside
temperature is displayed.

Some of the information may be displayed automatically depending
on the situation.
Drive information
Select to display various drive data. ( P. 153)
Navigation system-linked display (if equipped)
Select to display the following navigation system-linked information.
• Route guidance
• Compass display
Audio system-linked display (if equipped)
Select to enable selection of an audio source or track on the meter
using the meter control switches.
Driving support system information (if equipped)
Select to display the operational status of the following systems:

■Idling stop (if equipped)
Displays the total idling stop time (engine stop time via the Stop &
Start system) since the function was reset and the engine was
started respectively. ( P. 417)
■Eco Driving Indicator Zone Display
Displays Zone of Eco driving with current Eco driving ratio based on
acceleration. ( P. 140)
■Eco Score
Displays the eco-driving total count to help improve the customer’s
eco driving techniques. ( P. 157)
■Eco Saving
Displays the fuel consumption comparison, the average fuel con-
sumption after reset, and the cost of the consumed fuel. ( P. 158)
■Vehicle sway warning (if equipped)
Detects the sway of the vehicle within a lane, which is often associ-
ated with a decrease in the driver’s attention level, and displays the
decrease in attention using a bar display.
The longer the bar length, the more the driver may need to rest.
This display is a part of the LDA (Lane Departure Alert with Yaw Assist
Function) system. The display is enabled when the operating conditions
of the vehicle sway warning function are met. ( P. 350)

The Toyota Safety Sense consists of the following drive assist
systems and contributes to a safe and comfortable driving expe-
rience:
Driving assist system
WARNING
■ Toyota Safety Sense
The Toyota Safety Sense is designed to operate under the assumption that
the driver will drive safely, and is designed to help reduce the impact to the
occupants and the vehicle in the case of a collision or assist the driver in
normal driving conditions.
As there is a limit to the degree of recognition accuracy and control perfor-
mance that this system can provide, do not overly rely on this system. The
driver is always responsible for paying attention to the vehicle’s surround-
ings and driving safely.

LDA (Lane Departure Alert with Yaw Assist
Function)
When driving on highways and freeways with white (yellow) lane
lines, this function alerts the driver when the vehicle might depart from
its lane or course* and provides assistance by applying a brake force
to keep the vehicle in its lane or course*.
The LDA system recognizes white
(yellow) lane lines or a course*
using the front camera. Addition-
ally, it detects preceding vehicles
using the front camera and radar.

Summary of functions
WARNING
■ Before using LDA system
● Do not rely solely upon the LDA system. The LDA system does not auto-
matically drive the vehicle or reduce the amount of attention that must be
paid to the area in front of the vehicle. The driver must always assume full
responsibility for driving safely by paying careful attention to the surround-
ing conditions and operating the steering wheel to correct the path of the
vehicle. Also, the driver must take adequate breaks when fatigued, such
as from driving for a long period of time.
● Failure to perform appropriate driving operations and pay careful attention
may lead to an accident, resulting in death or serious injury.
● When not using the LDA system, use the LDA switch to turn the system
off.

■Yaw assist function
When the system determines that the vehicle might depart from its
lane or course*, the system provides assistance as necessary by
applying a brake force for a short period of time to keep the vehicle
in its lane.

When the vehicle is swaying
within a lane, the warning
buzzer will sound and a mes-
sage will be displayed on the
multi-information display to alert
