INSTALLATION
1. CHECK TORQUE CONVERTER CLUTCH INSTALLA-
TION
Using calipers and a straight edge, measure from the installed
surface of the transmission housing. Correct distance: More than 15.7 mm (0.618 in.)
2. INSTALL TRANSMISSION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal (See page
AT −20 ).
HINT:
After installation, adjust the shift lever position and throttle
cable (See page DI−131).
Fill and check fluid level (See page DI−131).

2. INSPECT DOOR COURTESY SWITCH CONTINUITY
(a) Check that there is continuity between terminal and the
switch body with the switch ON (switch pin released:
opened door).
(b) Check that there is no continuity between terminal and the switch body with the switch OFF (switch pin pushed
in: closed door).
If operation is not as specified, replace the switch.
3. INSPECT FRONT PERSONAL LIGHT CONTINUITY

4. INSPECT ROOM LIGHT ASSEMBLY
(a) Disconnect the connector from room light assembly.
(b) Turn the room light switch ON, check that there is continu-
ity between terminal 2 and body ground.
(c) Turn the room light switch DOOR, and check that there is continuity between terminal 1 and 2.
If operation is not as specified, replace the switch.
