Operating the power windows
All power windows can be operated using the control panel in the driver's door. The controlpanels in the other doors can be used tooperate that particular door. The power window in left rear door can also be operated with the control panel in theright rear door.
The power windows have pinch protection. If there is any problem with the pinch protection,a rest procedure can be tested.
WARNING
Children, other passengers or objects can be trapped by the moving parts.
Always operate the windows with cau- tion.
Do not allow children to play with theoperating controls.
Never leave a child alone in the vehicle.
Remember to always cut the current tothe power windows by setting thevehicle's electrical system to ignitionmode
0 and then taking the remote
key with you when leaving the vehicle.
Never stick objects or body parts outthrough the windows, even if the vehi-cle electrical system is completelyturned off.
Operating the power windows.
Operating manually. Move one of the con- trols slightly up or down. The power win-dows go up or down while the control isheld in position.
Operating with automatic controls. Move one of the controls up or down to its endposition and release it. The window movesautomatically to its fully closed/open posi-tion.
To use the power windows, the ignition mustbe in at least mode I or II. After the ignition
has been switched off, the power windowscan be operated for several minutes or until adoor is opened. Only one control can be oper-ated at a time. It can also be operated using keyless opening *
with the door handle.
WARNING
Make sure that no child or other passenger comes into contact with the windows as they are closing with keyless closing *.
NOTE
One way to reduce the pulsating wind noise heard when the rear windows areopen is to also open the front windowsslightly.
NOTE
The windows cannot be opened at speeds over approx. 180 km/h (ca112 mph), butthey can be closed. The driver is always responsible for follow- ing applicable traffic regulations.
NOTE
It may not be possible to operate the win- dows in low temperatures.

Using sun curtains

There are integrated sun curtains in each rear door and in the parcel shelf in the rear win-dow.
Rear door – electrically operated
Each of the sun shades can be fully retracted or fully extended. The sun curtains are equipped with pinch pro- tection. If you experience any problems oper-ating in the sun curtains, a reset sequence canbe tested.

Operating the panoramic roof
The panoramic roof and sun curtain are oper- ated using a control in the ceiling panel, andboth are equipped with pinch protection. The control in the right rear door can also be used for operation.
WARNING
Children, other passengers or objects can be trapped by the moving parts.

Do not operate the panoramic roof if itis frozen in place.
To operate the panoramic roof and sun cur- tain, the ignition must be in mode
I or II.
It can also be operated using keyless opening *

WARNING

Auto operation
1. To open to the ventilation position, move
the panoramic roof control downward to the auto open position and release.
2. To open to the sun curtain, move the sun curtain control downward to the autoopen position and release.
3. To open the panoramic roof, move the panoramic roof control downward a sec-ond time to the auto open position andrelease.
To close, pull up the respective control to theautomatic closing position.
Automatic operation - rapid opening and closing
The panoramic roof and sun curtain can be opened or closed simultaneously.
1. To open to the ventilation position, move the panoramic roof control downward to the auto position and release.
2. To open fully, move the sun curtain control downward to the auto position andrelease. Then immediately move the pan-oramic roof control downward to the autoposition and release.
3. To close, pull up the panoramic roof con- trol to the auto position and release. Thenimmediately move the sun curtain controlup to the auto position and release.

Auto closing the panoramic roof sun curtain
With this function, the sun curtain closes
automatically 15 minutes after the vehicle hasbeen locked if it is parked in hot weather. Thisis done to lower the passenger compartmenttemperature and protect the upholsteryagainst being bleached by the sun.
The function is deactivated as the default fac- tory setting and can be activated or deacti-vated using the center display. 1. Tap

The turn signals will flash when the vehicle is locked or unlocked.

Lock and alarm indicators on the dashboard
The locks and alarm indicator will display the status of the locking system:
One long flash indicates locking.
When the vehicle is locked, this will beindicated by short, pulsating flashes.
Rapid flashing after disabling the alarmindicates that the alarm has been trig-gered.

Lock buttons with indicator lights in front door.
Illuminated indicator lights in both front door lock buttons indicate that all doors are locked.If any door is opened, the lights in both doorswill go out.

Remote key
The remote key is used to lock and unlock doors, the trunk lid and the fuel filler door.The remote key must be in the vehicle inorder to start the engine.
Remote key 3
and button-less key (Key Tag) *.
The remote key is not physically used to start the ignition because the vehicle is standard-equipped with keyless start (Passive Start).The key only needs to be in the front section ofthe passenger compartment. For vehicles equipped with keyless locking and unlocking (Passive Entry) *, the engine can
be started with the key anywhere in the vehi- cle. A smaller, lighter and button-less key (KeyTag) is also provided. The remote keys can be linked to differentdriver profiles to store personal settings in thevehicle.
Remote key buttons
The remote key has four buttons, one on the left side and three on the right.

Locking - Press once to lock the doors,
trunk lid and fuel filler door and arm the alarm. Press and hold to close all windows.
Unlocking - Press once to unlock the
doors, trunk lid and fuel filler door and dis- arm the alarm. Press and hold to open all windows at the same time. This total airing function canbe used to e.g. quickly air out the vehiclein hot weather.
Trunk lid - Press to unlock and disarm
the trunk lid only. On vehicles equipped with the power trunk release *, press and
hold to automatically open the tailgate. Press and hold to close an open trunk lid(an audible warning signal will be given).On vehicles not equipped with the powertrunk release, pressing and holding willopen the trunk lid mechanically due to thepreloaded springs.
Panic alarm - Used to attract attention in
emergency situations. Press and hold the button for at least 3 seconds or presstwice within 3 seconds to activate theturn signals and horn. To deactivate, waitat least 5 seconds and press the buttonagain. If no action is taken, the panic alarmwill deactivate automatically after 3minutes.
WARNING
If anyone is left in the vehicle, make sure that power to the power windows and pan-oramic roof is cut off by always taking theremote key with you when you leave thevehicle.

Be aware of the risk of locking the remote key in the vehicle. If the remote key or key tag is left in the vehicle, it will be deactivated whenthe vehicle is locked and the alarm setusing another valid key. The key will bereactivated when the vehicle isunlocked.
If the remote key or Red Key is left inthe vehicle, it will be deactivated evenif the vehicle is locked using Volvo OnCall, and will be reactivated when thevehicle is unlocked using Volvo On Callor another valid key.
Button-less key (Key Tag)

The button-less key4
provided with the keyless
locking and unlocking function works in the same way as the regular remote key for key-less start, locking and unlocking. The key iswaterproof up to a depth of approx. 10 meters(30 feet) for up to 60 minutes. It does nothave a detachable key blade and its batterycannot be replaced.
Red Key - restricted remote key *A Red Key is a key that makes it possible to set restrictions for some of the vehicle's func- tions, e.g. maximum speed and maximum audio system volume. It helps vehicle ownersensure that the vehicle is being operatedresponsibly by other drivers.
InterferenceElectromagnetic fields or obstructing objectsmay interfere with the remote key's functionsfor keyless start and keyless locking and unlocking

NOTE
Avoid storing the remote control key near metal objects or electronic devices, e.g.cell phones, tablets, laptops or chargers –preferably no closer than 10-15 cm(4-6 in.).
If you experience interference, use the remote key's detachable blade to unlock the vehicleand then place the remote key in the backupreader in the tunnel console cup holder to dis-arm the alarm and start the vehicle.
NOTE
When the remote control key is placed in the cup holder, make sure that no othervehicle keys, metal objects or electronicdevices (e.g. cell phones, tablets, laptopsor chargers) are found in the cup holder.Multiple vehicle keys close to each other inthe cup holder can disrupt their functional-ity.

Automatic relockingIf none of the doors or trunk lid are opened within two minutes after being unlocked, theywill automatically relock. This function reducesthe risk of inadvertently leaving the vehicleunlocked.
Remote key not working
NOTE
Move closer to the vehicle and try to unlock it again.
If the remote key is not working to lock or unlock the vehicle, its battery may be dis-charged. Use the detachable key blade tolock/unlock the driver's door instead.
