ISOFIX anchoring points and the ISOFIX fastening system
The rear seats of your vehicle are equipped with ISOFIX anchoring p o i n t s . T h e s e c o n s i s t o f 2 r i n g s located between the backrest and t h e v e h i c l e s e a t , a p p r o x . 2 8 c m apart.
ISOFIX child seats are equipped w i t h 2 l a t c h e s w h i c h a r e e a y t o a t t a c h t o t h e s e r i n g s . T h i s fi x i n g system is intended for children weighing up to 18 kg.
Incorrect installation of a child seat in a vehicle compromises protec-tion of the child in the event of a col-lision. The ISOFIX system enables you to minimise the risks posed by i n c o r r e c t fi t t i n g . T h e I S O F I X f a s t e n -ing system gives you a convenient, s t r o n g a n d r e l i a b l e fi t t i n g f o r a c h i l d seat in your vehicle.
The recommended ISOFIX child seat (1) for your vehicle is:
The ISOFIX RÖMER Duo Plus (1):
T h i s c h i l d s e a t h a s b e e n a p p r o v e d f o r c h i l d r e n b e t w e e n 9 – 1 8 k g . I t c a n only be installed in the "forward-facing" position. The front seat must be adjusted so that the child’s feet are not touching the backrest of the front seat (slide the rear seat back as far as possible). The use of a t op belt is not necessary.

Child seats secured by means of the vehicle seat belt
I n c o n f o r m i t y w i t h D i r e c t i v e 2 0 0 3 / 2 0 , the table tells you to what extent each of the seat positions in your vehicle may take a child seat that is secured by means of the vehicle seat belt and approved as "Univer-sal" as a function of the weight of the child.
Consult "User Precautions", chapter on "Child Safety" at the end of this handbook, in order to ensure that you are installing your child in conditions of maxi-mum safety.

2. Spotlamps
A press on one of the buttons 2 switches the corresponding spotlamp on or off.
These do not work if the ignition is off or in economy mode.

Ventilated lower glovebox
To open, pull the handle and lower the lid.
It uses the same conditioned air as the air vents.
It comprises a storage area for vehicle documents.

Cigar-lighter
Functions when the ignition is switched on.
Push in and wait a few moments. The cigar lighter will release auto-matically.
Ashtray
A movable ashtray can be placed in the cupholder locations on the central console and in the storage pockets of the rear panels.

Sun visor
To prevent dazzle from ahead, fold the visor downwards. They can be d i s e n g a g e d f r o m t h e i r c e n t r a l fi x -ing and pivoted over to the side windows if required.
The passenger’s and driver’s sun visors each have a mirror that can be covered.

Storage areas
S t r a p s fi x e d t o t h e b o t t o m o f t h e boot enable you to secure objects stowed there.

Lift up the two levers located on the lower tailgate to open the cover and access the storage area.
Storage capacity: 5 litres.
The lower tailgate can support spread loads of up to 100 kg.

Check that the bonnet is properly secured.
Avoid opening the bonnet in high winds.
Bonnet
This operation should only be performed while the vehicle is stationary.
To release the bonnet, pull the con-trol located under the dashboard towards you.
Operate the lever A, located above the grille, to the right of the chev-rons, then lift.Note: The panel may be hot after the vehicle has been in use.
Bonnet stay: Unclip the stay and pivot to lodge it in the notch.
To close
Return the bonnet stay to its initial position.
Check that nothing has been left on top of the engine and that any component that was moved has been correctly repositioned.
Lower the bonnet carefully, then let it drop shut.

In order to ensure optimum clean-ing and to avoid freezing, you must never top up or replace this fl u i d w i t h w a t e r .
Engine coolant
T h e fl u i d l e v e l s h o u l d b e between the marks MIN. and MAX. on the header tank.
Engine hot, wait at least 15 minutes.
Quality: See "Maintenance Guide".
Never do anything relating to the cooling system of an engine that is hot.
12 V battery
See "Starting with a slave battery".
Engine oil
Check the engine oil level on horizontal ground with the engine having been switched off for at least 10 minutes.
Quality: See "Maintenance Guide".
Pull out the manual dip-stick.
The level should be between the marks MIN.and MAX. on the gauge.
It must never exceed the maximum.

Engine oil
Check the engine oil level on hori-zontal ground with the engine hav-ing been switched off for at least 10 minutes.
Pull out the manual dipstick.
The level should be between the marks MIN. and MAX. on the gauge.
Topping up engine oil

It must never exceed the maxi-mum.
Screw the cap back on and close the bonnet.

Checking the level and topping up w i t h fl u i d m u s t a l w a y s b e d o n e w i t h the engine cold.
Engine hot
Release the protection cover.
Wait 15 minutes or for the tem-perature to be lower than 100 °C and then carefully unscrew the cap so as to allow the pressure to drop, protecting yourself with, say, a cloth.
Topping up the coolant
T h e fl u i d l e v e l s h o u l d b e b e t w e e n the marks MIN. and MAX. on the header tank.
Top up the level. If you have to put in more than 1 litre, have the cool-ing system checked by a CITROËN in more than 1 litre, have the cool-
dealer.
Make sure that the cap is back on properly.Note: I f y o u n e e d t o t o p u p t h e fl u i d frequently, this indicates a malfunc-tion which you should get checked at the earliest opportunity.

Remark: The cooling fan may operate for around 10 minutes after the engine has stopped.
