Additional adjustments
Head restraint height and angle
F
T
o
raise
a
head
restraint,
pull
it
up
-
wards.

o
lower
the
head
restraint,
press
the
lug
A
and
the
head
restraint
at
the
same time.

o
adjust
the
angle
of
the
head
re
-
straint,
tilt
its
lower
part
forwards
or
rearwards. The
head
restraint
is
fitted
with
a
frame
with
notches
which
pre
-
vents
it
from
lowering;
this
is
a
safety
device in case of impact.
The adjustment is correct
when the upper edge of the
head restraint is level with the
top of the head.
With the engine running, the front seats can
be heated separately.

Use
the
adjustment
dial,
placed
on
the
side
of
each
front
seat,
to
switch
on
and
select
the
level
of
heating
re
-
quired:
0:
Off.
1
: Low.
2
: Medium.
3
: High.
Heated seats control
Removing a head restraint
F
T
o
remove
the
head
restraint,
press
the
lug
A
and
pull
the
head
restraint
upwards.
F
T
o
put
the
head
restraint
back
in
place,
engage
the
head
restraint
stems
in
the
openings
keeping
them
in
line
with
the
seat
back
and
press
the
lug A at the same time.
Never
drive
with
the
head
re
-
straints
removed;
they
must
be
in
place and adjusted correctly.

F Turn the knob to obtain the desired level
of lumbar support. This
function provides a back massage; it
only operates when the engine is run -
ning.
F
Press the switch to activate the
function.
The
warning
lamp
on
the
switch
comes
on
and
the
massage
function
is
activat
-
ed for a period of 60 minutes. During this time, massage is performed in 6 cycles of
10 minutes each cycle (6 minutes of
massage
followed
by
4
minutes
break).
After
an
hour
,
the
function
is
automati
-
cally
deactivated.
The
warning
lamp
in
the
switch goes off.
Deactivation
You
can
deactivate
the
massage
func
-
tion
at
any
time
by
pressing
the
switch.
The
movement
in
progress
continues
until
the
initial
non-massage
position
is
reached.

REAR SEATS
Bench seat with fixed one-piece cush -
ion and split backrest (left hand 2/3, right hand
1/3)

can
be
folded
individually to
adapt the load space in the boot.
Rear head restraints
These have one position for use (up)
and a stowed position (down).
They
can also be removed.
To
remove a head restraint:
F
release
the backrest using control 1,
F
tilt
the backrest 2 slightly forwards,
F
pull
the
head
restraint
upwards
to
the stop,
F
then,
press the lug A.
Never
drive
with
the
head
re
-
straints
removed;
they
must
be
in
place and correctly adjusted.When
repositioning
the
seat
backrest,
take
care
not
to
trap
the
seat belts.
Folding the backrest
F Move the corresponding front seat forward
if necessary.

Position the seat belt between the
outer
and
centre
head
restraints
to
avoid
trapping
the
belt
when
reposi
-
tioning
the seat backrest.

Place
the
head
restraints
in

low
position.

Pull control 1

heated
mirrors,
the
demisting-
defrosting
operates

the
heated
rear
screen
(refer to the "Rear screen
demist-defrost"
page).
As
a
safety
measure,
the
mirrors
should
be
adjusted
to
reduce
the
blind
spots.
The
objects
observed
are,
in
re
-
ality,
closer than they appear.
Take
this
into
account
in
order
to
correctly
judge
the
distance
of
vehicles
approaching
from
be
-
hind.

Depending

the
door
mirrors
fold,

alarm is activated.
If
one
of

doors
or
the
boot
is
still
open,
the
central
locking
does
not take place.
However,
the
alarm
(if
present)
will
be
completely
activated
after
about
45 seconds.
If
the
vehicle
is
unlocked
inad
-
vertently
and
with
no
action
on
the
doors
or
boot,
the
vehicle
will
lock
itself
again
automatically
af
-
ter
about 30 seconds.
If
the
alarm
had
previously
been activated,
it
will
not
be
reactivated automatically
. The
folding
and
unfolding
of
the
door
mirrors
using
the
remote
control
can
be
deactivated
by
a
CITROËN
dealer
or
a
qualified
workshop.
Closing the windows using the
remote controlF

hold
down
the
closed
padlock
until
the
de

sired
position
is
obtained.
The
windows
stop
when
you
release the button.
When
closing
the
windows
using
the
remote
control
you
must
en
-
sure
that
nothing
prevents
them
from
closing correctly.
If
you
want
to
leave
the
windows
partly
open,
you
must
deactivate
the
volumetric alarm monitoring.
Deadlocking using the remote
control

rear

er's
door
lock

lock
the
vehicle
completely
.

key

the
rear
again
within five
seconds
to
deadlock
the
vehicle.
Deadlocking
is
confirmed
by
fixed
light
-
ing
of
the
direction
indicators
for
ap
-
proximately
two seconds.
According
to
version,
the
door
mirrors
fold
at the same time.
In
low
light,
deadlocking
also
brings
on
the
guide-me-home
lighting
(see
"V
isibility"). Deadlocking
renders
the
exterior and
interior
door
controls
inopera
-
tive.
It also deactivates the central locking
control button.
Therefore, never leave anyone
inside
the
vehicle
when
it
is
deadlocked.
F
Press
the
closed
padlock
to
lock
the
vehicle
completely
.

Press
the
closed
padlock
again
within
five
seconds
to
deadlock
the
vehicle.

Locating your vehicle
This function allows you to identify your vehicle
from a distance, particularly in
poor
light.
Y
our
vehicle
must
be
locked.
Folding the key

First
press this button to fold the key.
F
Press
the
closed
padlock
on
the remote control.
This
will
switch
on
the
courtesy
lamps
and
the
direction
indicators
will
flash
for
around
ten seconds.
If
you
do
not
press
the
button when
folding
the
key
,
there
is
a risk
of
damage
to
the
mechanism.
Fault with the remote control
In the
event of a malfunction with the remote
control, you can no longer un -
lock,
lock or locate your vehicle.
F
First
of
all,
use
the
key
in
the
lock
to
unlock
or lock your vehicle.
F
Then,
reinitialise
the
remote
control.
Reinitialisation
F
Switch
of
f
the
ignition
and
remove
the
ignition key.
F
Press
the
closed
padlock
immedi
-
ately
for a few seconds.
F

urn

key
to
position
2 (Ignition
on)

Switch

remote
control
is
fully
operational
again. Battery

Changing the battery
If the
battery is flat, you are in -
formed by illumination of this warning
lamp,
an
audible
signal and
a message in the screen.
F Unclip the cover using a small screwdriver
at the two cutouts.
F
Lift
off the cover.
F
Remove
the
flat
battery
from
its
lo
-
cation.
F
Fit the new battery into its location
observing
the
original
direction
of
fitment.
F
Clip
the cover onto the casing.
If
the
problem
persists,
contact
a
CITROËN
dealer
as
soon
as
possible.

Lost keys
Go to a CITROËN dealer with the vehicle's registration document, your personal
identification documents and if possible the key code label.
The
CITROËN
dealer
will
be
able
to
look
up
the
key
code
and
the
transpon
-
der
code required to order a new key. Do
not
throw
the
remote
con
-
trol batteries away, they contain
metals which are harmful to the environment.
T
ake
them
to
an
approved
col
-
lection
point.
Remote control
The high frequency remote control is a sensitive system; do not operate it while
it is in your pocket as there is a possibility that it may unlock the ve -
hicle,
without you being aware of it.
Do
not
repeatedly
press
the
buttons
of
your
remote
control
out
of
range
and
out
of
sight
of
your
vehicle.
Y
ou
run
the
risk
of
stopping
it
from
working
and
the
remote control would have to be reinitialised.
No
remote
control
can
operate
when
the
key
is
in
the
ignition
switch,
even
when
the ignition is switched off, except for reinitialisation.
Locking the vehicle
Driving with the doors locked may make access to the passenger compart -
ment by the emergency services more difficult in an emergency.
As
a
safety
precaution,
never
leave
children
alone
in
the
vehicle,
except
for
a
very short period.
In
all
cases,
it
is
essential
to
remove
the
key
from
the
ignition
switch
when
leaving
the vehicle.
Anti-theft protection
Do not make any modifications to the electronic engine immobiliser system; this
could cause malfunctions.
When purchasing a second-hand vehicle
Have the pairing of all of the keys in your possession checked by a CITROËN
dealer , to ensure that only your keys can be used to open and
start
the vehicle.
