Tire Pressure Low - Add Air
This warning appears when the low tire pres-
sure warning light in the meter illuminates
and low tire pressure is detected. The
warning appears each time the ignition
switch is placed in the ON position as long as
the low tire pressure warning light remains
illuminated. If this warning appears, stop the
vehicle and adjust the tire pressures of all four
tires to the recommended COLD tire pres-
sure shown on the Tire and Loading Informa-
tion label. For additional information, see
“Low tire pressure warning light” (P. 2-18)
and “Tire Pressure Monitoring System
(TPMS)” (P. 5-5).
TPMS Error: See Owner’s Manual
This warning appears when there is an error
with your TPMS. If this warning appears,
have the system checked. It is recommended
that you visit an INFINITI retailer for this
service.
Transmission Shift Position
indicator
This indicator shows the transmission shift
position.
Turn signal/hazard indicators
(green)
The appropriate indicator flashes when the
turn signal switch is activated.
Both indicators flash when the hazard switch
is turned on.
When parked apply parking
brake
This message appears when a malfunction
occurs in the electric shift control system be-
low 6 mph (10 km/h).
Have the system checked. It is recommended
that you visit an INFINITI retailer for this
service.
AWD Error: See Owner’s Manual
This warning appears when the Intelligent
All-Wheel Drive (AWD) system is not func-
tioning properly while the engine is running.
Reduce vehicle speed and have your vehicle
checked by an INFINITI retailer as soon as
possible. For additional information, see “In-
telligent All-Wheel Drive (AWD)” (P. 5-161).
AWD High Temp. Stop Vehicle
This warning appears when the oil tempera-
ture of the powertrain parts will increase due
to the difference in rotation between the
front and rear wheels is large (wheel slip),such as when driving the vehicle on rough
roads, through sand or mud, or freeing a
stuck vehicle. If this warning is displayed, stop
the vehicle with the engine idling, as soon as it
is safe to do so. In these cases, the AWD
changes to 2WD to protect the powertrain
parts. Then if the warning turns off, you can
continue AWD driving.
Tire Size Incorrect: See Owner’s Manual
This warning may appear if there is a large
difference between the diameters of the
front and rear wheels. Pull off the road in a
safe area, with the engine idling. Check that
all the tire sizes, brand, construction and
tread patterns are the same, that the tire
pressure is correct and that the tires are not
excessively worn. If you have any problems,
please change tires or adjust to the correct
tire pressure. Do not select the SNOW mode
with the INFINITI Drive Mode Selector and
do not drive fast. For additional information,

(P. 5-161).
Forward Emergency Braking
(FEB) with Pedestrian
Detection system indicator
This warning appears when the ignition
switch is placed in the ON position.

This warning appears when the Forward
Emergency Braking (FEB) with Pedestrian
Detection system is set to OFF in the vehicle
information display.
If the warning appears when the Forward
Emergency Braking (FEB) with Pedestrian
Detection system is on, it may indicate that
the system is unavailable. For additional in-
formation, see “Forward Emergency Braking
(FEB) with Pedestrian Detection” (P. 5-128).

indicator
This indicator appears along, with an audible
warning, when the system detects the possi-
bility of a forward collision.

Blind Spot Warning
(BSW)/Blind Spot
Intervention® (BSI) indicator
This indicator appears when the BSW or BSI
system is unavailable.
For additional information, see “Blind Spot
Warning (BSW)” (P. 5-49) or “Blind Spot
Intervention® (BSI)” (P. 5-61).
Cruise control indicator
This indicator shows the cruise control sys-
tem status.
When cruise control is activated, a green
circle will illuminate to indicate it is set. The
vehicle information display will also display
the speed the cruise control was set at. If you
accelerate past the set speed, the speed will
blink until you either cancel cruise control or
go back to the set speed. If cruise control is on
and canceled, the speed will be displayed to
show the speed the vehicle will return to if the
resume button is activated.
Currently not available
This message may appear when the ProPI-
LOT Assist system, Blind Spot Intervention®
(BSI) or the Lane Departure Prevention (LDP)
system is engaged.
Under the following conditions, the ProPI-
LOT Assist, Blind Spot Intervention® (BSI) or
the Lane Departure Prevention (LDP) system
is automatically canceled:
• When the VDC system is turned off
•
The SNOW mode is selected (AWD models).
The above system cannot be used in some
situations (VDC operates, wheel slip and
VDC system is off.)
Driver Attention Alert
Malfunction
This warning appears when the Driver Atten-
tion Alert (DAA) system is not functioning
properly. For additional information, see
“Driver Attention Alert (DAA)” (P. 5-156).
Driver Attention Alert— Take
a Break?
This alert appears when the system has de-
tected that the driver may be displaying fa-
tigue or a lack of attention.
Forward Driving Aids temporarily

sensor may be obstructed due to:
• mud, dirt, snow, ice, etc.
• inclement weather (rain, fog, snow, etc.).
All forward driving aids are temporarily dis-
abled until the system detects that the front
radar sensor is no longer obstructed.

CAUTION
• Do not operate the washer continuously
for more than 30 seconds.
• Do not operate the washer if the
windshield-washer fluid reservoir is
empty.
• Do not fill the windshield-washer fluid
reservoir with windshield-washer fluid
concentrates at full strength. Some
methyl alcohol based windshield-washer
fluid concentrates may permanently
stain the grille if spilled while filling the
windshield-washer fluid reservoir.
• Pre-mix windshield-washer fluid con-
centrates with water to the manufactur-
er’s recommended levels before pouring
the fluid into the windshield-washer
fluid reservoir. Do not use the
windshield-washer fluid reservoir to mix
the windshield-washer fluid concentrate
and water.NOTE:
If the windshield wiper operation is inter-
rupted by snow or ice, the wiper may stop
moving to protect its motor. If this occurs,
turn the wiper switch to the OFF position
and remove the snow or ice that is on and
around the wiper arms. After about 1 min-
ute, turn the switch on again to operate the
wiper.
The windshield wiper and washer operates
when the ignition switch is in the ON position.
Push the lever down to operate the wiper at
the following speed:
1Intermittent — intermittent operation can
be adjusted by turning the knob toward
OA(Slower) orOB(Faster). Also, the in-
termittent operation speed varies in ac-
cordance with the vehicle speed. (For ex-
ample, when the vehicle speed is high, the
intermittent operation speed will be
faster.) Further, the rain-sensing feature
will adjust the speed of the intermittent
operation. For additional information,
see “Rain-sensing auto wiper system”
(P. 2-75).
2Low — continuous low speed operation

RAIN-SENSING AUTO WIPER
SYSTEM
CAUTION
• Do not touch the rain sensor and around
it when the wiper switch is in the AUTO
position and the ignition switch is in the
ON position. The wipers may operate
unexpectedly and cause an injury or may
damage a wiper. •
The rain-sensing auto wipers are in-
tended for use during rain. If the switch is
left in the AUTO position, the wipers
may operate unexpectedly when dirt,
fingerprints, oil film or insects are stuck
on or around the sensor. The wipers may
also operate when exhaust gas or mois-
ture affect the rain sensor.
• When the windshield glass is coated with
water repellent, the speed of the rain-
sensing auto wipers may be higher even
though the amount of the rainfall is
small.
• Be sure to turn off the rain-sensing auto
wiper system when you use a car wash.
• The rain-sensing auto wipers may not
operate if rain does not hit the rain sen-
sor even if it is raining.
• Using Genuine INFINITI wiper blades is
recommended for proper operation of
the rain-sensing auto wiper system. For
additional information, see “Windshield
wiper blades” (P. 8-18).
The rain-sensing auto wiper system can au-
tomatically turn on the wipers and adjust the
wiper speed depending on the rainfall and the
vehicle speed by using the rain sensor located
on the upper part of the windshield. To set the rain-sensing auto wiper system,
place the lever in the AUTO position
O1. The
wiper will sweep once while the ignition
switch is in the ON position.
The rain sensor sensitivity level can be ad-
justed by turning the knob toward the front
O3(high) or toward the rearO2(low).
– High — High sensitive operation
– Low — Low sensitive operation
To turn the rain-sensing auto wiper system
off, rotate the lever to the OFF position, or
rotate the lever to the low or high position.
The rain-sensing feature may be disabled.

CAUTION
Use the headlights with the engine running
to avoid discharging the vehicle battery.Autolight system
The autolight system allows the headlights to
turn on and off automatically. The autolight
system can:
• Turn on the headlights, front parking, tail, license plate and instrument panel lights
automatically when it is dark.
• Turn off all the lights (except Daytime Run- ning Lights) when it is light.
• Keep all the lights on for a period of time after you place the ignition switch in the
OFF position and all doors are closed.
NOTE:
Autolight activation sensitivity (if so
equipped) and the time delay for autolight
shutoff can be adjusted. For additional
information, see “Vehicle information
display-7 inch (18 cm) Type A” (P. 2-22)
or “Vehicle information display-12.3 inch
(31 cm) Type B” (P. 2-44).
To turn on the autolight system:
1. Turn the headlight switch to the AUTO position
O1.
2. Place the ignition switch in the ON position.

If the ambient image sensor is damaged due
to an accident, it is recommended that you
visit an INFINITI retailer.
Battery saver system
If the ignition switch is placed in the OFF
position while the headlight switch is in the
orposition, the headlights will turn
off after a period of time.
NOTE:
The Battery Saver system may be disabled.

CAUTION
Even though the battery saver feature au-
tomatically turns off the headlights after a
period of time, you should turn the head-
light switch to the OFF position when the
engine is not running to avoid discharging
the vehicle battery.
Adaptive Front lighting System
(AFS) (if so equipped)
The Adaptive Front lighting System (AFS) will
automatically adjust the headlights (low
beam) toward the turning direction to im-
prove the driver’s view. When the headlight
switch is on and the driver operates the steer-
ing wheel in a turn, the AFS system will be
activated.
The AFS will operate:
• when the headlight switch is on.
• when the vehicle is driven at above 16 mph (25 km/h) for the left-side headlight. Note
that the right-side low beam headlight will
swivel but the left side will not swivel when
the vehicle is at a stop and the steering
wheel is turned. The vehicle must attain a
speed above 16 mph (25 km/h) before AFS
activates the left-side headlight.
If the AFS OFF indicator blinks or the vehicle
information display shows an AFS system
error message after the ignition switch has
been pushed to the ON position, this may
indicate that the AFS is not functioning prop-
erly. Have the system checked. It is recom-
mended you visit an INFINITI retailer for this
service. When the engine is started, the head-
lights will vibrate to check the system condi-
tion. This is not a malfunction.
Automatic headlight aiming control
(if so equipped)
Your vehicle is equipped with an automatic
headlight levelling system. The headlight axis
is controlled automatically.
Automatic headlight aiming control will also
adjust the headlight to a proper axis auto-
matically, depending on the number of occu-
pants in the vehicle, the load the vehicle is
carrying and the road conditions.
INFINITI recommends that you consult the
local regulations on the use of lights.
LED DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS
(DRL) SYSTEM
The LED portion of the headlights automati-
cally illuminate at 100% intensity when the
engine is started and the parking brake re-
leased. The LED Daytime Running Lights
(DRL) system operates with the headlight
switch in the OFF position. When you turn
the headlight switch to the
position for
full illumination, the LED lights switch from
LED DRL system to the park function.

Push the switch again to turn the heated
steering wheel system off manually. The
switch color will change from orange to
white as the feature turns from ON to OFF.
NOTE:
•Once activated, your heated steering wheel
will automatically turn on and off to main-
tain a temperature above 68°F (20°C).
• When the temperature of the steeringwheel is above 122°F (50°C) and the
heated steering wheel switch is turned on,
the system will not heat the steering
wheel. This is not a malfunction.
The Steering Assist switch is used to enable
and disable the Steering Assist system that is
activated using the settings menu of the ve-
hicle information display.
The Steering Assist system controls the
steering system, when ProPILOT Assist is
engaged, to help keep your vehicle near the
center of the lane when driving. For addi-
tional information, see ”ProPILOT Assist”
(P. 5-84) and “Lane Departure Prevention
(LDP)” (P. 5-43). Push the seat massage switch to activate the
feature. A pop-up will display in the upper
area of the radio / navigation display to show
the ON or OFF status. Also in the pop-up,
there is an “Adjust” soft key that can be se-
lected to change massage seat settings, in-
cluding pattern, intensity and speed.

NOTE:
If the front passenger’s door is open, the
passenger’s seat massage switch will not
operate.
WARNING
• Failure to properly adjust the brightness
and position of the displayed image may
interfere with the drivers ability to see
through the windshield which could
cause an accident leading to severe in-
jury or death.
• Do not use the head up display for ex-
tended periods of time as that can cause
you to not see other vehicles, pedestri-
ans or objects, which could cause an ac-
cident leading to severe injury or death. The HUD can display one or more of the
following features (if so equipped):

NOTE:
•
Do not place any type of liquid on or near
the projector. Doing so may cause mal-
function of the equipment.

NOTE:
• Do not touch any internal parts of the pro-jector. Doing so may cause malfunction of
the equipment.
• To prevent scratches to the projector glass, do not place any sharp objects on or
near the projector opening.
• Do not place any objects on the instrument panel which may obstruct the display of
the HUD.
• If you wear polarized sunglasses the dis- play may be difficult to see. Increase the
brightness of the HUD in the vehicle infor-
mation display or remove your sunglasses. • Depending on weather conditions (rain,
snow, sunlight, etc.), the display may be
difficult to see.
• For cleaning, use a soft clean dry cloth. If it can not be removed, use a soft clean cloth,
dampened with water. After that please
use a soft clean cloth. Never use a rough
cloth, alcohol, benzine, thinner or any kind
of solvent or paper towel with a chemical
cleaning agent. They will scratch or cause
discoloration to the projector lens. Do not
spray any liquid such as water on the pro-
jector lens. Spraying liquid may cause the
system to malfunction.
• If the displayed image appears distorted, it is recommended that you have the system
checked by an INFINITI retailer or qualified
workshop.
• The HUD has a special windshield to allow the image to be displayed clearly. If your
windshield needs replacing, this should be
completed by an INFINITI retailer.
HOW TO USE THE HUD
To turn the HUD on, push the HUD switch.
To turn the HUD off, push the switch again.
If the HUD is turned off, it will remain off
even if the vehicle is restarted.
The following settings can be changed in the
vehicle information display:
• Brightness
• Height
• Rotation
• Contents selection–– Navigation

DRIVER ASSISTANCE/
NAVIGATION LINKING
The HUD will display driver assistance and
navigation information. The driver assistance display will show
warning situations for the following systems:
• Forward Emergency Braking (FEB) with
Pedestrian Detection
• Lane Departure Warning (LDW)
• Predictive Forward Collision Warning (PFCW)
• Hands-free warning (for vehicles with Pro- PILOT Assist) (if so equipped)
• Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR) (if so equipped)
The Navigation System linking display will
show the following items:
• Intersection names
• Arrows indicating turning direction
• Distance to the next intersection
The Audio System linking display will show
the following items:
• Songs
• Radio stations
The TEL/SMS linking display will show the
following items:
• Caller’s name or phone number
Display brightness
The brightness of the display may be con-
trolled by the Navigation System. The bright-
ness will also be adjusted automatically ac-
cording to the exterior ambient lighting
brightness.
NOTE:
• A sensorO1is built into the Head Up Dis-
play to control the brightness of the im-
age. Make sure the sensor is clear of ob-
struction or the display may become dark
and difficult to recognize.
