Cigarette lighter
For the cigarette lighter to work, the
ignition switch must be in the ACCposition or the ON position.
To use the cigarette lighter, push it all
the way into its socket. When the ele-ment has heated, the lighter will pop
out to the “ready” position.
We recommend that you use parts
for replacement from an authorized
Kia dealer. Ashtray (if equipped)
To use the ashtray, open the cover.
To clean or empty the ashtray, pull it out.

CAUTION
The use of plug-in accessories
(shavers, hand-held vacuums,and coffee pots, etc.) may dam- age the socket or cause electri-cal failure.
WARNING
Do not hold the lighter in after it is already heated because it
will overheat.
If the lighter does not pop out within 30 seconds, remove it
to prevent overheating.
Do not insert foreign objects into the socket of the cigarette
lighter. It may damage the cig-
arette lighter.

WARNING - Ashtray use
Do not use the vehicle’s ash- trays as waste receptacles.
Putting lit cigarettes or match- es in an ashtray with other
combustible materials may
cause a fire.

Cup holder✽✽NOTICE
Keep your drinks sealed while driving to prevent spilling your
drink. If liquid spills, it may get
into the vehicle's electrical/elec-
tronic system and damage electri-
cal/electronic parts.
When cleaning spilled liquids, do not dry the cup holder at high
temperature. This may damage
the cup holder.
WARNING - Hot liquids
Do not place uncovered cups of hot liquid in the cup holder
while the vehicle is in motion.
If the hot liquid spills, you may
burn yourself. Such a burn tothe driver could lead to loss of
control of the vehicle.
To reduce the risk of a per- sonal injury in the event of a
sudden stop or collision, do
not place uncovered or unse-
cured bottles, glasses, cans,
etc., in the cup holder while
the vehicle is in motion.
If uncovered cups and cans containing any form of liquid
are put into the front/center
seat cup holders and the vehi-
cle brakes heavily, the liquid
may flow into the narrow
openings around cup holders
and console, and soak into
the vehicle's internal electri-
cal system. To avoid subse-quent system malfunction,
always firmly cover any con-tainer holding liquid.
WARNING
Keep cans or bottles out of direct sun light and do not put
them in a vehicle that is heated
up. It may explode.

Cups or small beverage cans may be
placed in the cup holders. Sunvisor
Use the sun
visor to shield direct light
through the front or side windows.
To use the sunvisor, pull it downward.
To use the sunvisor for the side win-
dow, pull it downward, unsnap it from
the bracket (1) and swing it to the side(2).
To use the vanity mirror, pull down the
visor and slide the mirror cover (3).
Adjust the sunvisor extension forward
or backward (4).
The ticket holder (5) is provided for
holding a tollgate ticket. (if equip ped)

lamp (if equipped)
If you use the vanity mirror lamp, turn off the lamp before return-ing the sunvisor to its originalposition, otherwise it could result in battery discharge andpossible sunvisor damage.

Seat warmer (if equipped)The seat warmer is provided to warm
the seats during cold weather. With
the ignition switch in the ON position,
push either of the switches to warm
the left or right side of the seat.
During mild weather or under condi-
tions where the operation of the seat
warmer is not needed, keep the
switches in the "OFF" position. ■
Front seat
Each time you press the button, the
temperature setting of the seat will
chang as tollows: ■ Rear seat
Each time you press the button, the
seat warmer will turn on or off.
The seat warmer defaults to the OFF position whenever the ignition
switch is turned on.✽✽ NOTICE
With the seat warmer switch in the
ON position, the heating system in
the seat turns off or on automatically
depending on the seat temperature.

CAUTION
When cleaning the seats, do
not use an organic solventsuch as paint thinner, ben- zene, alcohol and gasoline.Doing so may damage the sur-face of the heater or seats.
To prevent overheating the seat warmer, do not place anythingon the seats that insulatesagainst heat, such as blankets,cushions or seat covers while the seat warmer is in operation.
Do not place heavy or sharp objects on seats equippedwith seat warmers. Damage tothe seat warming components could occur.
Do not change the seat cover. It may damage the seat warmeror airventilation system.

Air ventilation seat (if equipped)
The temperature setting of the seat
changes according to the switchposition.
If you want to warm your seat cush-
ion, press the switch (red color).
If you want to cool your seat cush- ion, press the switch (blue color).
Each time you press the button, the airflow will change as follows: The seat warmer (with air ventila-
tion) defaults to the OFF position
whenever the ignition switch is
turned on.
WARNING - Seat warmer
burns
Passengers should use extreme caution when using seat warm-
ers due to the possibility of
excess heating or burns. The
seat warmer may cause burns
even at low temperatures, espe-
cially if used for long periods of
time. In particular, the driver
must exercise extreme care for
the following types of passen-
gers:
1. Infants, children, elderly or handicapped persons, or hospital outpatients
2. Persons with sensitive skin or those that burn easily
3. Fatigued individuals
4. Intoxicated individuals
5. Individuals taking medication that can cause drowsiness or sleepiness (sleeping pills,
cold tablets, etc.)

Power outletCAUTION
Use the power outlet onlywhen the engine is runningand remove the accessory plug after use. Using theaccessory plug for prolongedperiods of time with the engine off could cause thebattery to discharge.
Only use 12V electric acces- sories which are less than 10Ain electric capacity.
Adjust the air-conditioner or heater to the lowest operatinglevel when using the poweroutlet.
Close the cover when not in use.
Some electronic devices can cause electronic interferencewhen plugged into a vehicle’spower outlet. These devicesmay cause excessive audiostatic and malfunctions in other electronic systems ordevices used in your vehicle.

Refrain from using the heater or A/C if you need to use themultipurpose socket. If the heater or A/C has to be usedsimultaneously, have it to thelowest setting.
Some add-on electrical equip- ment will induce electromag-netic interference. This willlead to subsequent malfunc-tion or hinder good reception of the Audio/Video and electri-cal system.
Always make sure that electric add-ons are fully plugged intothe multipurpose sockets. Insecure contacts may lead toelectrical malfunctions.

element (pin, etc.) into a power

Floor mat anchor(s) (if equipped) When using a floor mat on the front
floor carpet, make sure it attaches to
the floor mat anchor(s) in your vehi-
cle. This keeps the floor mat from
sliding forward.Luggage net holder (if equipped)
To keep items from shifting in the
cargo area, you can use the holderslocated in the cargo area to attachthe luggage net.
If necessary, we recommend that
you contact an authorized Kia dealer.WARNING
The following must be observed when installing ANY floor mat
to the vehicle.
Ensure that the floor mats are securely attached to the vehi-
cle's floor mat anchor(s)
before driving the vehicle.
Do not use ANY floor mat that cannot be firmly attached to the
vehicle's floor mat anchors.
Do not stack floor mats on top of one another (e.g. all-weatherrubber mat on top of a carpeted
floor mat). Only a single floor
mat should be installed in eachposition.
IMPORTANT - Your vehicle was
manufactured with driver's side
floor mat anchors that are
designed to securely hold the
floor mat in place. To avoid any
interference with pedal opera-
tion, Kia recommends that the
Kia floor mat designed for use
in your vehicle be installed.

Cargo security screen (if equipped)
Use the cargo security screen to hide items stored in the cargo area. 1.To use the rear shade of the cargo
security screen, pull the handle
backward and insert the cargo
security screen bar into the hole
both side of the vehicle.
2.Pull the hook forward and hang the hook on the headrest pole.
3.Pull out the screen and insert the edges into the slots.

overstretch the luggage net.

When not in use, place the cargo
security screen on the lower portionof the cargo area.
WARNING
Do not place objects on the cargo security screen. Such
objects may be thrown about
inside the vehicle and possi-
bly injure vehicle occupantsduring an accident or whenbraking.
Never allow anyone to ride in the luggage compartment. It
is designed for luggage only.
Maintain the balance of the vehicle and locate the weight
as far forward as possible.
CAUTION
Since the cargo security screen
may be damaged or malformed,do not put the luggage on itwhen it is used.
CAUTION
When folding the rear seatbackforward, remove the hook fromthe headrest pole. Otherwise, the front shade of the cargosecurity screen may be dam-aged or malformed.
