If a child is not installed in a vehicle
correctly, the child's protection in the

front seat. It is essential that the vehicle's front
seat is adjusted to the intermediate lon-
gitudinal position. Secured without the top strap.

Adjust the vehicle's front seat so that
the child's feet do not touch the seat

mountings. In this case, it is essential that they are

THE KEYS
The keys allow you to independ-
ently operate the lock on the driver’s
d o o r , t h e f u e l fi l l e r c a p , t h e c h i l d l o c k ,
the steering lock and to switch on the
ignition. Locking
Press button
A to lock the vehicle.
T h i s i s c o n fi r m e d b y fi x e d l i g h t i n g o f
t h e d i r e c t i o n i n d i c a t o r s f o r a p p r o x i -
m a t e l y t w o s e c o n d s . Locating your vehicle
To locate your vehicle, if you have
locked it, in a car park:
press button A , the courtesy lights
c o m e o n a n d t h e d i r e c t i o n i n d i c a -
t o r s fl a s h f o r a f e w s e c o n d s .
Changing the remote control
battery
Battery ref.: CR 2016/3 volts.
W a r n i n g t h a t t h e b a t t e r y i s fl a t i s g i v -
en by an audible signal.
T o r e p l a c e t h e b a t t e r y , r e m o v e t h e
screw then unclip the casing using a
coin at the ring.
I f t h e r e m o t e c o n t r o l d o e s n o t w o r k
after the battery has been changed,
r e p r o g r a m m e t h e r e m o t e c o n t r o l .

Key in ignition
A buzzer sounds on opening the driv-
er’s door, if the key has been left in
the ignition. Programming the remote
control
Switch off the ignition.
Switch the ignition on again.
Press button A i m m e d i a t e l y f o r a
few seconds.
S w i t c h o f f t h e i g n i t i o n a n d r e m o v e
t h e r e m o t e c o n t r o l k e y f r o m t h e
i g n i t i o n l o c k . T h e r e m o t e c o n t r o l
is now working again.
Central locking and unlocking
The keys allow you to lock or unlock
t h e d o o r s a n d b o o t , f r o m t h e d r i v e r ’ s
door.
If one of the doors or the boot is open,
the central locking does not work. The remote control

Press button
B to unlock the vehicle.

You risk causing it not to
w o r k a n d t h e r e m o t e c o n t r o l

(see corresponding section).

ELECTRONIC ENGINE IMMOBILISER
This locks the engine control sys-
t e m a s s o o n a s t h e i g n i t i o n h a s b e e n
switched off and therefore prevents
starting of the vehicle by anyone who
does not have the key.
The ignition key has an electronic
chip which has a special code. When
the ignition is switched on, the code
m u s t b e r e c o g n i s e d f o r s t a r t i n g t o b e
possible.
If the system does not function
correctly, the central locking button
indicator light, situated in the centre
o f t h e f a s c i a , fl a s h e s r a p i d l y w h e n t h e
ignition is switched on (2nd notch).
In this case your vehicle will not
start.

n u m b e r o f e a c h k e y . T h i s
n u m b e r i s c o d e d o n t h e l a -
bel attached to the key.
T h e h i g h f r e q u e n c y r e m o t e c o n t r o l i s
a s e n s i t i v e s y s t e m ; d o n o t o p e r a t e i t
while it is in your pocket as there is a
p o s s i b i l i t y t h a t i t m a y u n l o c k t h e v e -
hicle, without you being aware of it.
T h e r e m o t e c o n t r o l d o e s n o t o p e r a t e
when the key is in the ignition, even
w h e n t h e i g n i t i o n i s s w i t c h e d o f f , e x -
c e p t f o r r e p r o g r a m m i n g .

As a safety precaution (with children
o n b o a r d ) , r e m o v e t h e k e y f r o m t h e
ignition when you leave the vehicle,
e v e n f o r a s h o r t t i m e . Do not repeatedly press the buttons
o f y o u r r e m o t e c o n t r o l o u t o f r a n g e
of your vehicle.

When purchasing a second-hand

LOCKING/UNLOCKING OF THE BOOT
"Boot open" warning
When the engine is running , if the
boot is not closed correctly you are
warned by an audible signal.
When the vehicle is moving , if the
boot is not closed correctly the cour-
t e s y l i g h t fl a s h e s i f i t s b u t t o n i s i n t h i s
position.
OPENING THE BOOT
To open the boot, press the lock.
The lighting is activated on open-
ing the boot.
With the key
Lock the boot by turning the key in
t h e l o c k ( f r o m A to C ).
U n l o c k t h e b o o t b y t u r n i n g t h e k e y i n
t h e l o c k ( f r o m A to B ).
With the central locking
Locking and unlocking of the boot is
s i m u l t a n e o u s w i t h t h e d o o r s .
