CURRE NT VEHICLE
P OSITION DISPLAY
When starting the navigation system,
the curre nt position isdisplayed first.
This screen displays the current
vehi cle position and amap of the
surrounding area.
The current vehicle po sition mark
appears in the center o f themap
scree n.
INFORMA TION
While driving, the current vehicle
position mark is fixed on the screen
and the map moves.
 The current position is automatically
set as the vehicle receives signals
from the Global Positioning System
(GPS). If the current position is not
correct, it is automatically corrected
after the vehicle receives signals from
the GPS.
 After disconnecting a battery or on a
new vehicle, the current position may
not be correct initially. As soon as the
system receives signals from the GPS,
the correct vehicleposition is
displayed.

SCREEN SCROLL
OPERATION

Wh en any point on the map is
selected, that point moves to the
center of the s creen and is shown by
the cursor mark .


 If a fi nger is c ontinuous ly held o n the
screen, the map will co ntinue scrolling in
t hat d irection until the fin ger is remove d.
 A street name or geo-co ordinates of the
sel ected po int w ill be shown, depending
on the scale of the map.
 Afte r the screen is scroll ed, the map
rema ins cent ered at the selecte d locati on
unt il another f unction is act ivate d. The
cur ren t veh icle pos ition mark will continue
to mov e al ong you r a ctual rou te and
may mov e off the screen . Whe n

sel ected, the cu rrent vehicle position mark

 When the scroll fe ature is used, the

2 Select “+” or “-” to chan ge the sca le of
the map scree n.

 Th e scale of the map screen can also be
changed the fol lowing ways:
• Se lecting the desired sca le poin t.
• Dra gging the s cale bar marking to t he
des ired point.

 Th e scale range is from 150 f t. to
250 m ile s (1 0 m to 500 km).
 When the s cale has been changed,
t he new sc ale indic ato r will be
displ ayed for a whi le.
