Alarm
Perimeter protection
The system checks for opening of the vehicle.
T he  alarm  is  triggered  if  anyone  tries  to  open  a Â
d
oor,  the  boot,  the  bonnet...
Self-protection function
The system checks for the putting out of service  of  its  components.
The
 alarm  is  triggered  if  the  battery,  the Â
c
entral control or the wires of the siren
are
 put  out  of  service  or  damaged.
Locking the vehicle with
alarm
Activation
F Switch off the ignition and get out of the vehicle.
F Press the  locking  button  on  the  r
emote  control.
The
Â
perimeter  protection  is  activated  5  seconds Â
a
fter
Â
pressing  the  locking  button  on  the  remote Â
c
ontrol.
If
Â
an
Â
opening  (door,  boot...)  is  not  closed Â
f
ully,
Â
the
Â
vehicle  is  not  locked  but  the  alarm  is Â
a
ctivated. F
Â
P
ress  the  unlocking  button  on Â
t
he  remote  control.
Deactivation
The alarm is deactivated: the indicator  lamp  goes  off.
The
 alarm  is  activated:  a  indicator Â
l
amp  in  the  switch  panel  to  the Â
left  of  the  steering  wheel  flashes Â
o
nce  per  second.

Triggering of the alarm Locking the vehicle without activating the alarm
F Lock the  vehicle  using  the  key.
Failure of the remote control
To deactivate the monitoring functions:

nlock  the  vehicle  using  the  key.

pen  the  door;  the  alarm  is  triggered.
F
Â
S
witch  on  the  ignition;  the  alarm  stops.
Faults
This is indicated by sounding of the sirenÂ
a nd  flashing  of  the  direction  indicators  for Â
thirty
 seconds.
When
 the  ignition  is  switched  on,  fixed Â
i
llumination  of  the  indicator  lamp  indicates  a Â
f
ault  with  the  system.
Have
 it  checked  by  a  CITROËN  dealer  or  a Â
q
ualified
 w
orkshop.
When
 the  vehicle  is  unlocked  using Â
t
he  remote  control,  rapid  flashing Â
o
f  the  indicator  lamp  informs  you Â
t
hat  the  alarm  was  triggered  during Â
y
our  absence.  When  the  ignition Â
i
s  switched  on,  this  flashing  stops Â
i
mmediately.
