Under-inflation detection
This system automatically checks the pressures of t
he  tyres  when  driving  and  alerts  you  in  the  event  of Â

nder-inflation.
Exterior
Temporary puncture
repair kit
This kit is a complete system consisting of a compressor and a sealant  cartridge,  to  allow  the  temporary  repair  of  a  tyre.
Rear parking sensors
This system provides a warning when manoeuvring backwards  by  detecting  obstacles  located  behind Â

he vehicle.

Indicator and warning lamps
Certain warning lamps may come on in  one  of  two  different  modes.  Only  by Â
r
elating  the  type  of  illumination  to  the Â
o
perating  status  of  the  vehicle  can  it Â
b
e  ascertained  whether  the  situation  is Â
n
ormal  or  whether  a  fault  has  occurred.When the ignition is switched on
Certain warning lamps come on for a few seconds  when  the  vehicle's  ignition  is Â
s
witched  on.
When
 the  engine  is  started,  these  same Â
w
arning  lamps  should  go  off.
If
 they  remain  on,  before  moving  off,  refer  to  the Â
i
nformation  on  the  warning  lamp  concerned.
Associated warnings
The illumination of certain warning lamps may be  accompanied  by  an  audible  signal  and  a Â
m
essage  in  the  multifunction  screen.
The
 warning  lamps  may  come  on  continuously Â
(
fixed)  or  flash.

Diesel engine
pre-heating fixed.
The
 key  is  at  position  2  (ignition  on)  in Â
t
he  ignition  switch.Wait
 until  the  warning  lamp  goes  off  before  starting.
The
 period  of  illumination  of  the  warning  lamp  is Â
d
etermined  by  the  ambient  conditions  (up  to  about Â
t
hirty  seconds  in  very  low  temperatures).
If
 the  engine  does  not  start,  switch  the  ignition  off  and Â
t
hen  on,  wait  until  the  warning  lamp  goes  off  again, Â
t
hen  start  the  engine.
Parking
brake fixed.
The
 parking  brake  is  applied  or  not Â
p
roperly
 r
eleased.Release
 the  parking  brake  to  switch  off  the  warning Â
l
amp,  keeping  your  foot  on  the  brake  pedal.
Observe
 the  safety  recommendations.
For
 further  information  on  the  parking  brake,  refer  to Â
t
he  "Driving"  section.
Foot on the
brake pedal fixed.
The
 brake  pedal  must  be  pressed. With  an  electronic  gearbox,  press  the  brake  pedal  to Â
s
tart  the  engine  (lever  in  position  N).
Â
W
ith  an  automatic  gearbox,  with  the  engine  running, Â
p
ress  the  brake  pedal  before  releasing  the  parking Â
b
rake,  to  unlock  the  lever  and  come  out  of  position  P.
If
 you  wish  to  release  the  parking  brake  without Â
p
ressing  the  brake  pedal,  this  warning  lamp  will Â
r
emain  on.
flashing. With
 an  electronic  gearbox,  if  you Â
h
old  the  vehicle  on  an  incline  using Â
t
he  accelerator  for  too  long,  the Â
c
lutch  overheats.Use
 the  brake  pedal  and/or  the  parking  brake.

Deactivation indicator lamps
If one of the following indicator lamps comes on, this confirms that the corresponding system has been switched off intentionally.
T his  is  may  be  accompanied  by  an  audible  signal  and  a  message  in  the  screen.

airbag system fixed.

 passenger's  front  airbag  is Â

eactivated.
You
 can  install  a  rear ward  facing Â

hild  seat,  unless  there  is  a  fault  with Â
t
he  operation  of  the  airbags  (Airbag Â

arning  lamp  on).Set the control to the ON
position to activate the
passenger's
 front  airbag.
In
 this  case,  do  not  fit  a  child  seat  in  the  rear ward Â
f
acing  position.
ESP/ASR fixed. The
 button,  located  at  the  bottom Â
l
eft  of  the  dashboard,  is  pressed.  Its Â
i
ndicator  lamp  is  on.
The
 ESP/ASR  is  deactivated.
ESP:
 electronic  stability  programme.
ASR:
 anti-slip  regulation.Press
 the  button  to  activate  the  ESP/ASR.  Its  indicator Â
l
amp  goes  off.
The
 ESP/ASR  system  is  activated  automatically  when Â
t
he  vehicle  is  started.
If
 deactivated,  the  system  is  reactivated  automatically Â
f
rom  around  30  mph  (50  km/h).

Warning lamps
When the engine is running or the vehicle is being driven, illumination of one of the following warning lamps indicates a fault which requires action on the  part  of  the  driver.
Any
 fault  resulting  in  the  illumination  of  a  warning  lamp  must  be  investigated  further  by  reading  the  associated  message  in  the  screen.
If
 you  encounter  any  problems,  contact  a  CITROËN  dealer  or  a  qualified  workshop.
