Checking levels
Take care when working under the bonnet,  as  certain  areas  of  the  engine Â
m

a
nd  the  cooling  fan  could  start  at  any Â
t

Engine oil level
The check is carried out either when the  ignition  is  switched  on  using  the Â
o
il  level  indicator  in  the  instrument Â
p
anel  for  vehicles  so  equipped,  or Â
u
sing  the  dipstick.
Checking using the dipstick
Check all of these levels regularly, in line with the manufacturer's service schedule. Top them up if necessary, unless other wise indicated.
I f  a  level  drops  significantly,  have  the  corresponding  system  checked  by  a  CITROËN  dealer  or  a  qualified  workshop.
If you find that the level is above the A
 mark  or Â
belo
w the B Â mark, Â do not star t the engine.
-
I
f the level is above the MAX
Â
mark  (risk Â
o
f  damage  to  the  engine),  contact  a Â
C
ITROËN  dealer  or  a  qualified  workshop.
-
I
f the level is below the MIN
Â
mark, Â you Â
m
ust  top  up  the  engine  oil.
A = MA X
B = MIN
To
ensure  that  the  reading  is  correct, Â
y
our  vehicle  must  be  parked  on  a  level Â

f
or  more  than  30  minutes.
It
is  normal  to  top  up  the  oil  level  between Â
t

r
ecommends  that  you  check  the  level,  and  top Â
u

Oil grade
Before topping-up the oil or changing the oil, c

Depending
on  the  environment  (e.g.  dusty Â
