Exterior welcome lighting

The exterior welcome lighting switches off
automatically after a set time, when the ignition
is switched on or on locking the vehicle.F

Switching on
The spotlamps come on:
- wh en you unlock the vehicle,

en you use the remote control to locate
the vehicle.
Switching off
They are timed to go off automatically. To make your approach to the vehicle easier,
these illuminate:

e zones facing the driver’s and
passenger’s doors,

e zones for ward of the door mirrors and
rear ward of the front doors.
The dipped beam headlamps and the
sidelamps come on; your vehicle is also
unlocked. The remote control operation of the lighting makes your approach to the vehicle easier in poor light.
It is activated according to the level of light detected by the sunshine sensor.
The duration of the welcome lighting is
associated with and identical to that of
the automatic guide-me-home lighting.
Programming
The lighting duration is selected via
the vehicle configuration menu.

Manual adjustment of

To avoid causing a nuisance to other road
users, the height of the halogen headlamps
should be adjusted according to the load in the
vehicle.

accompanied by an audible signal
and a message in the instrument

In order to avoid causing a nuisance to other
road users, this system corrects the height of the
xenon headlamps beam automatically and when
stationary, in relation to the load in the vehicle.
If a fault occurs, do not touch the xenon
bulbs.
Contact a CITROËN dealer or a
qualified workshop.
The system then places your headlamps in the
lowest position.

The initial setting is position "0" .

When the dipped or main beam headlamps
are on, this function, allows the light beams to
better follow the road.
The use of this function, coupled with the
xenon headlamps and the cornering lighting,
considerably improves the quality of your
lighting round bends.

Cornering lighting
With dipped or main beams, this function
makes use of the beam from a front foglamp
to illuminate the inside of a bend, when the
vehicle speed is below 25 mph (approximately
40 km/h) (urban driving, winding road,
intersections, parking manoeuvres...).with cornering lighting

Wiper controls
Programming
Various automatic wiper control modes are also
available according to the following options:

Manual controls
The wipers are controlled directly by the driver.
The vehicle's front and rear wipers are
designed to improve the driver's visibility
progressively according to the climatic
conditions.
Windscreen wipers
Wiping speed:
fast (heavy rain),
normal (moderate rain),
intermittent (proportional to the
speed of the vehicle),
park,
automatic (press down and
release),
single wipe (pull the stalk briefly
towards you).

Rear wiper
If a significant accumulation of snow
or ice is present, or when using a
bicycle carrier on the boot, deactivate
the automatic rear wiper via the
configuration menu.park,

When reverse gear is engaged, the rear wiper
will come into operation if the windscreen
wipers are operating.
The function is activated or
deactivated via the configuration
menu.
This function is activated by default.
Programming
F Pull the windscreen wiper stalk towards
you. The windscreen wash then the
windscreen wipers operate for a fixed
period.
The headlamp washers only operate when the
dipped or main beam headlamps are on,
with the vehicle moving .

Rear wiper selection ring:
To reduce the consumption of the fluid by the
headlamp washers, they operate only with
every seventh use of the screenwash or every
25 miles (40 km) during a given journey.

Automatic rain sensitive
windscreen wipers
The windscreen wipers operate automatically,
without any action on the part of the driver, if
rain is detected (sensor behind the rear view
mirror), adapting their speed to the intensity of
the rainfall.
Switching on
Briefly push the control stalk
downwards.
A wiping cycle confirms that the
instruction has been accepted.Briefly push the control stalk
downwards again, or place the
control stalk in another position
(Int, 1 or 2).
Switching off
The automatic rain sensitive windscreen
wipers must be reactivated by pushing
the control stalk downwards, if the
ignition has been off for more than
one minute.
This warning lamp goes off in the instrument
panel and a message is displayed.

Do not cover the rain sensor, linked with
the sunshine sensor and located in the
centre of the windscreen behind the rear
view mirror.
Switch off the automatic rain sensitive
wipers when using an automatic car wash.
In winter, it is advisable to wait until the
windscreen is completely clear of ice
before activating the automatic rain
sensitive wipers.
Operating fault
If a fault occurs with the automatic rain
sensitive wipers, the wipers will operate in
intermittent mode.
Have it checked by CITROËN dealer or a
qualified workshop.
Special position of the
windscreen wipers
This position permits release of the windscreen
wiper blades.
It is used for cleaning or replacement of the
blades. It can also be useful, in winter, to
detach the blades from the windscreen.To maintain the effectiveness of the flat
wiper blades, it is advisable to:

ean them regularly using soapy
water,

oid using them to retain
cardboard on the windscreen,

place them at the first signs of

Courtesy lamps
In this position, the courtesy lamp
comes on gradually:
Front - rear courtesy lamps
Take care to avoid leaving anything in
contact with the courtesy lamps.
With the "permanent lighting" mode, the lighting
time varies according to the circumstances:
- with the ignition off, approximately
ten minutes,
- in energy economy mode, approximately
thirty seconds,
- with the engine running, unlimited.
- when the vehicle is unlocked,
- wh en the electronic key is removed from
the reader,

en the remote control locking button is
activated, in order to locate your vehicle.

Interior mood lightingThe dimmed passenger compartment lighting improves visibility in the vehicle when the light is
p o o r.
At night, the interior mood lighting comes on
automatically when the sidelamps are switched
on ( for example, a source of light in the roof
console illuminates the middle of the centre
console).
The interior mood lighting switches off
automatically when the sidelamps are switched off.Lamps on: there are 7 levels of brightness.
The level of brightness increases progressively
with each press of the button, returning to zero
after the maximum level is reached.
A long press gives maximum brightness.
This adjustment is used to set the mood
lighting level for the interior lamp, as well as
for the door opening controls and the storage
locations (depending on version).Footwell lighting
Switching on
Its operation is identical to that of the courtesy
lamps. The lamps come on when one of the
doors is opened. The soft lighting provided by the footwell lamps
improves visibility in the vehicle when the light
is poor.
