To avoid overfilling transmission after a fluid
change or overhaul, perform the following procedure:
(1) Remove dipstick and insert clean funnel in
transmission

(2) Compress clutch piston retainer and piston
springs with Compressor Tool C-3863-A (Fig. 88).
