INFORMATION MESSAGES
Note:Depending on the vehicle options equipped with your vehicle, not
all of the messages will display or be available. Certain messages may be
abbreviated or shortened depending upon which cluster type you have.
Press the OK button to
acknowledge and remove some
messages from the information
display. Other messages will be
removed automatically after a short
time. When a warning message
appears, you must wait two seconds
before being able to clear it. Certain
messages need to be confirmed before you can access the menus.
Message indicators:Some messages will be supplemented by a system
specific symbol.
Adaptive Cruise
Control MessagesAction / Description
Adaptive Cruise
MalfunctionDisplayed when a radar malfunction is
preventing the ACC from engaging.
Adaptive Cruise Not
AvailableDisplayed when conditions exist such that the
adaptive cruise cannot function properly.
Adaptive Cruise Not
Available Sensor
BlockedDisplayed when the radar is blocked because
of poor radar visibility due to bad weather or
ice/mud/water in front of radar. Driver can
typically clean the sensor to resolve.
AdvanceTrac® /
Traction Control
MessagesAction / Description
Service AdvanceTrac Displayed when the AdvanceTrac® system has
detected a condition that requires service.
Contact your authorized dealer as soon as
possible.
Traction control off Displayed when the traction control has been
disabled by the driver.
Trailer Sway Reduce
SpeedDisplayed when the trailer sway control has
detected trailer sway.

Alarm/Security
MessagesAction / Description
Vehicle Alarm To Stop
Alarm, Start VehicleDisplayed when the perimeter alarm system is
armed and the vehicle is entered using the key
on the driver’s side door. In order to prevent
the perimeter alarm system from triggering,
the ignition must be turned to start or on
before the 12 second chime expires.

Shutdown MessagesAction / Description
Engine Shuts Off in
XX SecondsDisplays when the engine is getting ready to
shut off.
Engine Shut Off for
Fuel EconomyDisplays when the engine has shut off to help
increase fuel economy.
Engine Shuts Off in
XX Seconds Press OK
to OverrideDisplays when the engine is getting ready to
shut off. You can press OK on the left steering
wheel button to override the shut down.
AWD Messages Action / Description
AWD Off Displayed when the AWD system has been
automatically disabled to protect itself. This is
caused by operating the vehicle with the
compact spare tire installed or if the system is
overheating. The AWD system will resume
normal function and clear this message after
driving a short distance with the road tire
re-installed or after the system is allowed to
cool.
Check AWD Displayed in conjunction with the Throttle
Control/Transmission/AWD light when the
AWD system is not operating properly. If the
warning stays on or continues to come on,
contact your authorized dealer as soon as
possible.

Battery and
Charging System
MessagesAction / Description
Check Charging
SystemDisplayed when the charging system needs
servicing. If the warning stays on or continues
to come on, contact your authorized dealer as
soon as possible.
Turn Power Off to
Save BatteryDisplayed when the battery management
system determines that:
•the battery is at a low state of charge or,
•the ignition has been in accessory position
or on position with the engine off for
approximately 45 minutes.
Turn the ignition off as soon as possible to
protect the battery. This message will clear
once the vehicle has been started and the
battery state of charge has recovered. Turning
off unnecessary electrical loads will allow
faster battery state-of-charge recovery.
Transport Mode
Contact DealerContact your authorized dealer as soon as
possible.
Factory Mode Contact
DealerContact your authorized dealer as soon as

Blindspot Not
Available Sensor
Blocked See ManualDisplayed when the blind spot information
system/cross traffic alert system sensors are

information system has occurred. Contact your
authorized dealer as soon as possible.

Cross Traffic System
FaultDisplayed when a fault with the cross traffic
alert system has occurred. Contact your
authorized dealer as soon as possible.
Vehicle Coming From
XDisplayed when the blind spot information
system with cross traffic alert (CTA) system is
operating and senses a vehicle.
Brake System
MessagesAction / Description
Brake Fluid Level
LOWIndicates the brake fluid level is low and the
brake system should be inspected immediately.
Check Brake System Displayed when the brake system needs
servicing. If the warning stays on or continues
to come on, contact your authorized dealer as
soon as possible.
Park Brake Engaged Displayed when the parking brake is set, the
engine is running and the vehicle is driven
more than 3 mph (5 km/h). If the warning
stays on after the parking brake is released,
contact your authorized dealer as soon as
possible.

Collision Warning Not
AvailableDisplayed when there is a system malfunction
with the collision warning system. The system
will be disabled. Contact your authorized

Collision Warning

Collision Warning
MalfunctionDisplayed when there is a system malfunction
with the collision warning system. The system
will be disabled. Contact your authorized
dealer as soon as possible.
Door Messages Action / Description
X Door Ajar Displayed when a door is not completely
closed.
Liftgate Ajar Displayed when the liftgate is not completely
closed.
Engine On Displayed when the engine is on, the driver
door has been opened and the gear shift level
is inPPark.
Fuel Messages Action / Description
Check Fuel Fill Inlet Displayed when the fuel fill inlet may not be
properly closed.
Fuel Level LOW Displayed as an early reminder of a low fuel
condition.
Keys and Intelligent
Access MessagesAction / Description
No Key Detected Displayed if the intelligent access key is not
detected by the system in the following three
scenarios:
•When the start/stop button is pressed in an
attempt to either start the engine or cycle
through the ignition states.
•When the engine is running and a door is
opened then closed.
•When the vehicle’s speed exceeds 10 mph
(16 km/h) for the first time after starting.

the maximum number of keys have been
programmed.
Press Brake to Start Displayed when the start/stop button is
pressed without the brake pedal being applied.
This is a reminder that the brake pedal must
be applied when the start/stop button is
pressed in order to start the engine.
Restart Now or Key is
NeededDisplayed when the start/stop button is
pressed to shut off the engine and a Intelligent
Access Key is not detected inside the vehicle.
Accessory Power is
ActiveDisplayed when the vehicle is in the accessory
ignition state.
Starting System Fault This message is displayed when there is a
problem with your vehicle’s starting system.

PressureStop the vehicle as soon as safely possible,
turn off the engine. Check the oil level. If the
warning stays on or continues to come on with
your engine running, contact your authorized

10% or less.
Oil Change Required Displayed when the oil life left reaches 0%.
Engine Coolant
OvertemperatureDisplayed when the engine coolant
temperature is excessively high.
Washer Fluid Level
LOWIndicates the washer fluid reservoir is less than
one quarter full. Check the washer fluid level.

SpeedDisplayed when a MyKey® is in use and the

seat. After the objects are moved away from
the seat, if the warning stays on or continues

Remove and re-insert
key while turning
wheel to unlockDisplays when you need to turn the steering
wheel in order to disengage the steering lock.
Shift to Park Displayed when the engine is turned off and
shift select lever is in any position other than
P (Park).

LOW Tire Pressure Displays when one or more tires on your
vehicle have low tire pressure.
Tire Pressure Monitor
FaultDisplays when the tire pressure monitoring
system is malfunctioning. If the warning stays
on or continues to come on, contact your
authorized dealer.
Tire Pressure Sensor
FaultDisplayed when a tire pressure sensor is
malfunctioning, or your spare tire is in use.

MANUAL CLIMATE CONTROL
A.Power:Press the button to turn the system on and off. Switching off
the climate control system prevents outside air from entering the vehicle.
B.Air distribution control:Press these buttons to turn airflow from
the windshield, instrument panel, or footwell vents on or off. The system
can distribute air through any combination of these vents.
C.A/C:Press the button to turn air conditioning compressor on or off.
Use air conditioning with recirculated air to improve cooling performance
and efficiency.
D.Recirculated air:Press the button to switch between outside air and
recirculated air. When recirculated air is selected, the air currently in the
passenger compartment recirculates. This may reduce the time needed
to cool the interior (when used withA/C)and may also reduce
unwanted odors from entering your vehicle.
Note:Recirculated air may turn off automatically (or be prevented
from turning on) in all airflow modes exceptMAX A/Cto reduce risk
of fogging.
E.MAX A/C:Turn the temperature control dial all the way past the full
cool position to maximize cooling. Recirculated air flows through the
instrument panel vents, air conditioning automatically turns on, and the
fan automatically adjusts to the highest speed.

F.Front temperature control:Controls the temperature of the airflow
in the front of your vehicle. Adjust to select the desired temperature.
G.Rear fan speed control:Controls the volume of air circulated in the
rear of your vehicle. Press+or-to select the desired fan speed.
H.Rear temperature control:Controls the temperature of the airflow
in the rear of your vehicle. PressTEMP +andTEMP -to select the
desired temperature.
I.REAR CTRL:Press to change control of the rear climate controls
system from the front controls to the rear controls.
J.Rear climate control system power:Press the button to turn the
rear climate system on and off.
K.Front fan speed control:Controls the volume of air circulated in
your vehicle. Adjust to select the desired fan speed.
L.Heated rear window:Turns the heated rear window on and off. See
Heated windows and mirrorslater in this chapter for more
information.
M.Defrost:Press the button to distribute air to the windshield vents
and de-mister. Air distribution to instrument panel and footwell vents
turn off. You can use this setting to defog and clear the windshield of a
thin covering of ice.
