Charging Door
Opening the charging door
The charging door must be opened
from inside the vehicle by pushing
the charging door open button.
1. Depress the brake pedal and
apply the parking brake.
2. Turn OFF all switches, shift to P
(Park), and turn OFF the vehicle.
3. Press the charging door open but-
ton ( ) to open the charging
door.
Closing the charging door
1. After recharging, install the charg-
ing inlet cover.
2. Close the charging door until it is
latched securely.
For more details, refer to the
Electric Vehicle Guide provided in
the front of the owner’s manual.
Unlock Charging Door in
Emergency
If the charging door does not open
due to battery discharge and failure
of the electric wires, open the liftgate
and slightly pull the emergency cable
as shown above. The charging door
will then open.

If the brake fluid level in the reser-
voir is low:
1. Drive carefully to the nearest safe
location and stop your vehicle.
2. With the vehicle turned off, check
the brake fluid level immediately
and add fluid as required (For more
information, refer to "Brake
Fluid" in chapter 7). After adding
brake fluid, check all brake compo-
nents for fluid leaks. If a brake fluid
leak is found, or if the warning light
remains on, or if the brakes do not
operate properly, do not drive the
vehicle. Have the vehicle inspected
by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
Dual-diagonal braking system
Your vehicle is equipped with dual-
diagonal braking systems. This
means you still have braking on two
wheels even if one of the dual sys-
tems should fail.
With only one of the dual systems
working, more than normal pedal
travel and greater pedal pressure is
required to stop the vehicle.Also, the vehicle will not stop in as
short a distance with only a portion
of the brake system working.
Anti-lock Brake System
(ABS) Warning Light
This warning light illuminates:
When the POWER button is in the
ON position.
- It illuminates for approximately 3
seconds and then goes off.
When there is a malfunction with
the ABS (The normal braking sys-
tem will still be operational without
the assistance of the anti-lock
brake system).
In this case, have your vehicle
inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI
dealer.
Parking Brake & Brake Fluid
Warning Light
Driving the vehicle with a warn-
ing light ON is dangerous. If the
Parking Brake & Brake Fluid
Warning Light illuminates with
the parking brake released, it
indicates that the brake fluid
level is low.
In this case, have your vehicle
inspected by an authorized
HYUNDAI dealer.

Icy Road Warning Light
(if equipped)
This warning light is to warn the driver
the road may be icy.
When the reading on the outside
temperature gauge is below 40°F
(4°C), the Icy Road Warning Light
and Outside Temperature Gauge
blinks and then illuminates. Also, the
warning chime sounds 1 time.
You can activate or deactivate Icy
Road Warning function from the User
Settings mode in the cluster LCD dis-
play.
Information
If the icy road warning light comes ON
while driving, it is an indication that
roads may be icy. In this situation, pay
close attention to your driving and
reduce your vehicle speed as a precau-
tion. Avoid sudden changes in accelera-
tion or braking or sudden changes in
steering in order to maintain control of
your vehicle while driving in adverse
weather conditions.
Master Warning Light
This indicator light illuminates:
When there is a malfunction in oper-
ation in any of the following systems:
- Forward Collision-Avoidance
Assist system malfunction
(if equipped)
- Forward Collision-Avoidance
Assist radar blocked (if equipped)
- Blind-Spot Collision Warning
system malfunction (if equipped)
- Blind-Spot Collision Warning radar
blocked (if equipped)
- LED Headlamp malfunction
- High Beam Assist malfunction
(if equipped)
- Smart Cruise Control malfunction
(if equipped)
- Tire Pressure Monitoring System
(TPMS) malfunction (if equipped)
To identify the details of the warning,
look at the LCD display.
Electronic Stability
Control (ESC) Indicator
Light
This indicator light illuminates:
When the POWER button is in the
ON position.
- It illuminates for approximately 3
seconds and then goes off.
When there is a malfunction with
the ESC system.
In this case, have your vehicle
inspected by an authorized
HYUNDAI dealer.
This indicator light blinks:
While the ESC is operating.

LCD Display Messages
Shift to P
This warning message is displayed if
you try to turn off the vehicle with the
gear in the N (Neutral) position.
At this time, the POWER button
changes to the ACC position (If you
press the POWER button once more,
it will turn to the ON position).
Low Key Battery
This warning message is displayed if
the battery of the smart key is dis-
charged while changing the POWER
button to the OFF position.
Press POWER button while
turning wheel
This warning message is displayed if
the steering wheel does not unlock
normally when the POWER button is
pressed.
You should press the POWER button
while turning the steering wheel right
and left.
Check Steering Wheel Lock
System
This warning message is displayed if
the steering wheel does not lock nor-
mally while the POWER button
changes to the OFF position.
Press brake pedal to start vehicle
This warning message is displayed if
the POWER button changes to the
ACC position twice by pressing the
button repeatedly without depressing
the brake pedal.
You can start the vehicle by depress-
ing the brake pedal.
Key not in vehicle
This warning message is displayed if
the smart key is not in the vehicle
when you press the POWER button.
When attempting to start the vehicle,
always have the smart key with you.
Key not detected
This warning message is displayed if
the smart key is not detected when
you press the POWER button.
Press POWER button again
This message is displayed if you
were unable to start the vehicle when
the POWER button was pressed.
If this occurs, attempt to start the
vehicle by pressing the POWER but-
ton again.
If the warning message appears
each time you press the POWER
button, have your vehicle inspected
by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.

Press POWER button with key
This warning message is displayed if
you press the POWER button while
the warning message "Key not
detected" is displayed.
At this time, the immobilizer indicator
light blinks.
Check BRAKE SWITCH fuse
This warning message is displayed if
the brake switch fuse is disconnect-
ed.
You need to replace the fuse with a
new one before starting the vehicle.
If that is not possible, you can start
the vehicle by pressing the POWER
button for 10 seconds in the ACC
position.
Shift to P to start vehicle
This warning message is displayed if
you try to start the vehicle without
shifting to the P (Park) position.
Unplug vehicle to start
This message is displayed when you
start the vehicle without unplugging
the charging cable. Unplug the
charging cable, and then start the
vehicle.
Low Washer Fluid (if equipped)
This warning message is displayed
if the washer fluid level in the reser-
voir is nearly empty.
Have the washer fluid reservoir
refilled.
Door / Hood / Liftgate open
This warning is displayed indicating
which door, or the hood, or the lift-
gate is open.
If the door/hood/liftgate open warn-
ing message is blocked with another
warning message, an icon will
appear on the top of the LCD display.

Tire Pressure
This mode displays information relat-
ed to Tire Pressure.
For more information, refer to
"Tire Pressure Monitoring System
(TPMS)" in chapter 6.
Master warning mode
This warning light informs the driver
the following situations.- Forward Collision-Avoidance
Assist system malfunction
(if equipped)
- Forward Collision-Avoidance
Assist radar blocked (if equipped)
- Blind-Spot Collision Warning
system malfunction (if equipped)
- Blind-Spot Collision Warning radar
blocked (if equipped)
- LED Headlamp malfunction
(if equipped)
- High Beam Assist malfunction
(if equipped)
- Smart Cruise Control malfunction
(if equipped)
- Tire Pressure Monitoring System
(TPMS) malfunction (if equipped)
The Master Warning Light illumi-
nates if one or more of the above
warning situations occur. At this time,
a Master Warning icon ( ) will
appear beside the User Settings icon
( ), on the LCD display.
If the warning situation is solved, the
master warning light will be turned
off and the Master Warning icon will
disappear.

Auto Lock
The auto door lock operation will be deactivated.
All doors will be automatically locked when the vehicle speed exceeds 9.3 mph (15
km/h).
All doors will be automatically locked if the gear is shifted from the P (Park) position
to the R (Reverse), N (Neutral), or D (Drive) position.
Auto Unlock
The auto door unlock operation will be canceled. (if equipped with smart key)
All doors will be automatically unlocked when the POWER button is set to the
OFF position.
All doors will be automatically unlocked if the gear is shifted to the P (Park) position.
Lock/Unlock soundTo activate or deactivate the lock/unlock sound.
If you lock the door with a remote control key again after locking the door, the alarm beeps.
Horn feedback
To activate or deactivate the horn feedback.
If the horn feedback is activated, after locking the door by pressing the lock button on the remote key,
and pressing it again within 4 seconds, the horn feedback sound will operate once to indicate that all
doors are locked (if equipped with remote key).

The seat easy access function is deactivated.
When you turn off the vehicle, the driver's seat will automatically move rearward
short (Normal) or long (Extended) for you to enter or exit the vehicle more comfortably.

Charge Connector Lock ModeTo activate the charge connector lock.

Switch to utility mode?
To activate the utility mode.
When activated, electric devices in the vehicle is operated using the high voltage battery.
For more details, refer to "Utility Mode" in the Electric Vehicle Guide in front of the owner's manual.
Welcome Mirror/LightTo activate or deactivate the welcome mirror and/or light function.
For more details, refer to ''Welcome System'' in this chapter.
Wireless Charging SystemTo activate or deactivate the wireless charging system in the front seat.
For more details, refer to "Wireless Charging System" in this chapter.
Wiper/Lights DisplayTo activate or deactivate the Wiper/Light mode.
When activated, the LCD display shows the selected Wiper/Light mode whenever you changed the
mode.
Smart Regeneration
To activate or deactivate the Smart Regeneration function. When activated, the regeneration level is
adjusted automatically according to the current driving situation.

Icy Road WarningTo activate or deactivate the icy road warning.

Headlamp delay function
(if equipped)
If the POWER button is placed in the
ACC position or the OFF position
with the headlamps ON, the head-
lamps (and/or parking lamps) remain
on for about 5 minutes. However, if
the driver’s door is opened and
closed, the headlights are turned off
after 15 seconds. Also, with the vehi-
cle off if the driver's door is opened
and closed, the headlamps (and/or
parking lamps) are turned off after 15
seconds.
The headlamps (and/or parking
lamps) can be turned off by pressing
the lock button on the smart key
twice or turning the light switch to the
OFF or AUTO position.
You can activate or deactivate the
Headlamp Delay function from the
User Settings mode (Light) on the
LCD display.
For more information, refer to the
"LCD Display" section in this
chapter.If the driver gets out of the vehicle
through other doors (except dri-
ver’s door), the battery saver func-
tion does not operate and the
headlamp delay function does not
turn off automatically. Therefore, It
causes the battery to be dis-
charged. In this case, make sure
to turn off the lamp before getting
out of the vehicle.
AFL (Adaptive Front Lighting)
System a.k.a. DBL (Dynamic
Bending Light) (if equipped)
Adaptive front lighting system uses
the steering angle and vehicle
speed, to keep your field of vision
wide by swiveling and leveling the
headlamp.

Change the switch to the AUTO posi-
tion when the vehicle is in the ready
( ) mode. The adaptive front light-
ing system will operate when the
headlamp is ON. To turn off the AFL
system, change the switch to other
positions. After turning the AFL sys-
tem off, headlamp swiveling no
longer occurs, but leveling operates
continuously.
If the AFL system malfunction indica-
tor comes on, the AFL system is not
working properly. Drive to the near-
est safe location and restart the vehi-
cle ( indicator ON). If the indica-
tor continuously remains on, have
the system be checked by an author-
ized HYUNDAI dealer.Interior Lights
Do not use the interior lights for
extended periods when the vehi-
cle is turned off or the battery will
discharge.
Interior lamp AUTO cut
The interior lamps will automatically
go off approximately 20 minutes after
the vehicle is turned off and the
doors closed. If a door is opened, the
lamp will go off 40 minutes after the
vehicle is turned off. If the doors are
locked by the smart key and the vehi-
cle enters the armed stage of the
theft alarm system, the lamps will go
off five seconds later.
Front lamps
(1) Front Map Lamp
(2) Front Door Lamp
(3) Front Room Lamp ON
(4) Front Room Lamp OFF
Front Map Lamp :
Press either of these lenses to turn
the map lamp on or off. This light pro-
duces a spot beam for convenient
use as a map lamp at night or as a
personal lamp for the driver and the
front passenger.
NOTICE
Do not use the interior lights
when driving in the dark. The inte-
rior lights may obscure your view
and cause an accident.
