TROUBLE DIAGNOSIS
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Check continuity between front air control harness connectorM49 terminal 1 and ground.
OK or NG
OK >> Replace front air control. Refer to ATC-123, "Removal
and Installation" .
NG >> Repair harness or connector.

• Air outlet does not change.
• Mode door motor does not operate normally.
INSPECTION FLOW
1.CONFIRM SYMPTOM BY PERFORMING OP ERATIONAL CHECK - DISCHARGE AIR
1. Press mode switch four times and then press the (DEF) switch. Each position indicator should change shape (on display).
2. Confirm that discharge air comes out according to the air distribution table. Refer to ATC-26, "
Discharge
Air Flow".
NOTE:
Confirm that the compressor clutch is engaged (visual inspection) and intake door position is at FRESH
when DEF ( ) or D/F ( ) is selected.
Can a symptom be duplicated?
YES >> GO TO 3.
NO >> GO TO 2.
2.PERFORM COMPLETE OPERATIONAL CHECK
Perform a complete operational check and check for any symptoms. Refer to ATC-50, "
Operational Check
(Front)".
Can a symptom be duplicated?
YES >> Refer to ATC-32, "How to Perform Trouble Diagnosis for Quick and Accurate Repair".
NO >> System OK.
3.CHECK FOR SERVICE BULLETINS
Check for any service bulletins.
>> GO TO 4.
4.CHECK MODE DOOR OPERATION
Check and verify mode door mechanism for smooth operation in each mode.
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 5.
NG >> Repair as necessary.
5.PERFORM SELF-DIAGNOSIS
Perform self-diagnosis to check for any codes. Refer to ATC-48, "
A/C System Self-Diagnosis Function".
Are any self-diagnosis codes present?
YES >> Refer to ATC-48, "A/C System Self-Diagnosis Function".
NO >> GO TO 6.
6.CHECK THE MODE DOOR MOTOR PBR CIRCUIT 1 - Ground : Continuity should exist.

1. Press the mode switch and select vent ( ).
2. Press the defrost switch ( ). Defroster indicator should illuminate (on display).
3. Listen for defroster door position c hange (blower sound should change slightly).

NO >> GO TO 2.
2.CHECK FOR ANY SYMPTOMS
Perform a complete operational check for any symptoms. Refer to ATC-50, "
Operational Check (Front)".
Does another symptom exist?
YES >> Refer to ATC-32, "How to Perform Trouble Diagnosis for Quick and Accurate Repair".
NO >> System OK.
3.CHECK FOR SERVICE BULLETINS
Check for any service bulletins.
>> GO TO 4.
4.CHECK DEFROSTER DOOR MOTOR
Perform diagnostic procedure for defroster door mo tor. Refer to "DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE FOR
DEFROSTER DOOR MOTOR".
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 5.
NG >> Repair PBR circuit or replace defroster door motor. Refer to ATC-138
.
5.CHECK DEFROSTER DOOR OPERATION
Check and verify defroster door mechanism for smooth operation.
OK or NG
OK >> Replace defroster door motor. Refer to ATC-138.
NG >> Repair defroster door mechanism.

Bluetooth telephone system allows users who have a Bluetooth cellular telephone to make a wireless connec-
tion between their cellular telephone and the Bluetooth control unit. Hands-free cellular telephone calls can be
sent and received. Personal memos can be created using the Infinity Voice Recognition system. Some Blue-
tooth cellular telephones may not be recognized by the Bluetooth control unit. When a cellular telephone or
the Bluetooth control unit is replaced, the telephone must be paired with the Bluetooth control unit. Different
cellular telephones may have different pairing procedures. Refer to the cellular telephone operating manual.
Bluetooth Telephone System Diagram
Bluetooth Control Unit
When the ignition switch is turned to ACC or ON, the Bluetooth control unit will power up. During power up, the
Bluetooth control unit is initialized and performs various self checks. Initialization may take up to 10 seconds.
During this time the Bluetooth ON indicator will flash until initialization is complete. Infinity Voice Recognition
will then become active and the Bluetooth ON indicator will remain on. Bluetooth telephone functions can be
turned off using the voice recognition system.
BCM
The BCM supplies power for the Bluetooth ON indicator.
Steering Wheel Audio Control Switches
When buttons on the steering wheel audio control switch are pushed, the resistance in steering wheel audio
control switch circuit changes depending on which button is pushed. The Bluetooth control module uses this
signal to perform various functions while navigating through the voice recognition system.
The following functions can be performed using the steering wheel audio control switch:
• Initiate Self Diagnosis of the Bluetooth telephone system
• Start a voice recognition session
• Answer and end telephone calls
• Adjust the volume of calls
• Record memos
AV Switch
Call volume can be adjusted using the AV switch.
Microphone
The microphone is located in the roof console assembly. The microphone sends a signal to the Bluetooth con-
trol unit.
Combination Meter
The combination meter supplies speed signals to the Bluetooth control unit. Vehicle speed signals are used to
determine which voice command functions will be disabled based on driving conditions.
Bluetooth ON Indicator
The Bluetooth ON indicator is located in the overhead console. The indicator will flash during power up while
the Bluetooth control unit is initializing. This process may take up to 10 seconds. After initialization, the indica-
tor will remain on to indicate that the system is ready for voice commands.

BLUETOOTH CONTROL UNIT INITIALIZATION CHECKS
• Internal control unit failure
• Bluetooth antenna connection open or shorted
• Steering wheel audio control switches (SEND/END) stuck closed
• Vehicle speed pulse count
• Microphone connection test (with playback to operator)
• Bluetooth inquiry check
STARTING THE DIAGNOSTIC MODE
1. Turn ignition switch to ACC or ON.
2. Wait for the Bluetooth system to complete initialization and the Bluetooth ON indicator to stop flashing.
This may take up to 10 seconds.
3. Press and hold the steering wheel audio control switch SEND
button for at least 5 seconds. The Bluetooth system will begin to
play a verbal prompt.
4. While the prompt is playing, momentarily press both the steering
wheel audio control switches SEND and END buttons simulta-
neously. The Bluetooth system will sound a 5 second beep.
5. While the beep is sounding, momentarily press both the steering
wheel audio control switches SEND and END buttons simulta-
neously again.
6. The Bluetooth system has now entered into the diagnostic
mode. Results of the diagnostic checks will be verbalized to the
technician by the system.

Make sure the following fuses for the Bluetooth control unit are not blown.

Removal
1. Disconnect battery negative terminal.
2. Remove front passenger seat. Refer to SE-83
.
3. Remove Bluetooth control unit kick shield screws (A) and
remove bluetooth control unit kick shield (1).
4. Disconnect Bluetooth control unit harness connectors.
5. Remove Bluetooth control unit screws (B).
6. Remove Bluetooth control unit (2) from bluetooth control unit
bracket.
Installation
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
NOTE:
When replacing bluetooth control unit, Perform pairing procedure. Refer to Owner's Manual Pairing Proce-
dure.

VOICE GUIDE
Vehicle location accuracy is low. Accuracy indicator (GPS satellite mark) on the
map screen stays gray.Current location is not determined.
Vehicle speed setting by the vehicle speed pulse
has been deviated (advanced or retarded) from
the actual vehicle speed because tire chain is fit-
ted or the system has been used on another vehi-
cle.Drive the vehicle for a while [for approx. 30
minutes at approx. 30 km/h (19 MPH)] and
the deviation will be automatically adjusted. If
advancement or retard still occur, perform
the distance adjustment by CONFIRMA-
TION/ADJUSTMENT mode of diagnosis
function.
Map data has error or omission. (Vehicle mark is
