he resistance between relay socket pin 5 and
ground BT020L.

: With EM013 disconnected this test will cause the pump to operate continuously. Do not exceed 10 sec running.

NOTE: Do not replace relay.

ing a link lead, connect EM013/009 to ground BT020L.

ith EM013 disconnected, measure the resistance
between EM013/009 and relay socket pin 1

s the resistance < 0.5 OHM?
Yes GO to B9
No Inspect connectors EM013, EM051/008, LS003/21,
BT004/009 and BT010/005 for corrosion, damage, bent or
pushed back pins and repair as required. Test the system
for normal operation

th EM014 disconnected, measure the resistance
between EM014/010 and ground EM016L.

the resistance < 0.5 OHM?
Yes STOP, renew the relay and test the system for normal
operation.
No Inspect harness / connectors EM014, splice EMS37 and
ground EM016L for corrosion, damage, bent or pushed
back pins. Repair as requir ed and test the system for
normal operation.

th BT009 disconnected, measure the resistance across
the fuel pump connectors reference BT009/003 and
BT009/004.

Yes GO to B11
No Renew the fuel pump and te st the system for normal
operation.

BT009 disconnected, measure the resistance
between BT009/003 and ground BT020L.

the resistance < 0.5 OHM?
Yes GO to B12
No Inspect harness / connector BT009, splice BTS021 and
ground BT020L for corrosion, damage, bent or pushed
back pins. Repair as requir ed and test the system for
normal operation.

Yes GO to B13
No Inspect harness / connector BT 009, fuse holder F15 and
BT012/002 for corrosion, damage, bent or pushed back
pins. Repair as required and test the system for normal
operation.

insulation resistance between EM013/009 and ground
BT020L.

Yes Do not replace relay or reconnect connectors
GO to B14
No Inspect harness / connec tors EM013, EM051/008,
LS003/021, BT004/009 and BT010/005 for corrosion,
damage, bent or pushed back pins. Repair as required
and test the system for normal operation.

: CHECK CONTINUITY FUEL SENSOR

ith connectors BT014 and BT015 disconnected check
the resistance between the fuel level sensor pins.

Is
the resistance >70 and <1000 OHM?
Yes GO to C3
No Renew the level sensor and test the system for normal
operation.

ith connectors FC025, FC024, BT014 and BT015
disconnected measure the insulation resistance between
FC025/013 and FC025/014.

s the resistance > 10 MOHM?
Yes GO to C5
No Inspect harness / connectors FC025, FC024, FC001,
BT004, BT014 and BT015 for corrosion, damage, bent or
pushed back pins. Repair as required and test the system
for normal operation.
