Standard equipment changes vs. 2010MY XF Engine -- As indicated above, the 5.0L V8 385 h p replaces the 4.2L v6 300hp engine on the
XF entry vehicle. As the result, the following upg rades will apply to this derivative:
JaguarDrive Control™ Dynamic mode will now be stand ard on the model.
The XF will be fitted with 0.15" (29 mm) larger fro nt brakes – identical to those
fitted on the 2010MY XF Premium.
Routine service intervals will be 15,000 miles or o ne year (whichever comes first) –
compared with 10,000 miles or one year for the outg oing 4.2L engine.
"Service required" and "brake pad wear" indicator m essages will appear on the
message center when necessary.
All derivatives – the following three changes will b e made across all derivatives:
1. The JaguarSense® glove box opening sensor is being replaced by a physical micro switch.
The new button will be in a similar location to the current sensor. It will be slightly
recessed into the surrounding veneer to avoid accid ental triggering. The button will
require a physical push to open the glove box.
2. To reduce wind noise and improve water flow, the dr iver and passenger door mirror foot
design is being changed. This change does not resu lt in any material visual design
change, however it increases the width of the vehic le by one inch to 81.8 inches.
