When BCW canceled warning mes-
sage is displayed in the cluster,
check to make sure that the rear
bumper is free from any dirt or snow
in the areas where the sensor is
located. Remove any dirt, snow, or
foreign material that could interfere
with the radar sensors.
After any dirt or debris is removed,
RCCA system should operate nor-
mally after about 10 minutes of driv-
ing the vehicle.
If the system does not work normally
even though the foreign substance,
trailer or carrier, or other equipment
is removed, have the system
checked by an authorized Kia dealer.Check Blind-Spot Collision Warning
system
If there is a problem with BCW sys-
tem, a warning message will appear.
The system will turn off automatical-
ly. RCCW and RCCA will not operate
also if BCW system turns off due to
malfunction. In this case, have the
system checked by an authorized
Kia dealer.Limitations of the system
The driver must be cautious in the
below situations, because the sys-
tem may not detect other vehicles
or objects in certain circum-
stances.
When a trailer or carrier is
installed.
The vehicle drives in inclement
weather such as heavy rain or
snow.
The rear corner radar sensors are
is polluted with rain, snow, mud,
etc.
The rear bumper where the sensor
is located is covered with a foreign
object such as a bumper sticker, a
bumper guard, a bike rack, etc.
The rear bumper is damaged, or
the sensor is out of the original
default position.
The vehicle height gets lower or
higher due to heavy loading in a
trunk (tailgate), abnormal tire pres-
sure, etc.

Warning triangle is an option item
by sales countries.
Usage
Keep this warning triangle at the
most available place in the vehicle
such as in the trunk or your prefer-
ence place.
Always check the availability and
the place of the warning triangle
before driving your vehicle.
Installation
Take out the warning triangle from
the case and stretch out left and right
wings to make triangle shape.
Crossing the wings each other and
fix them into coupling groove.
Stretch out 4 poles from the bottom
of warning triangle to stand it.
Place the warning triangle at the cer-
tain distance behind from your vehi-
cle so that approaching vehicle’s driv-
er can easily aware of your vehicle.

When towing your vehicle in an
emergency without wheel dollies :
1. Set the ENGINE START/STOP
button to ACC position.
2. Place the transmission shift lever
in N (Neutral).
3. Release the parking brake.Removable towing hook
(if equipped)
1. Open the trunk, and remove the
towing hook from the tool case.
2. Remove the hole cover pressing
the upper part of the cover on the
bumper.
CAUTION - Towing gear

Failure to place the transmis-
sion shift lever in N (Neutral)
may cause internal damage to
the transmission.
CAUTION - Towing
Do not tow the vehicle back-
wards with the front wheels on
the ground as this may cause
damage to the vehicle.
Do not tow with sling-type
equipment. Use wheel lift or
flatbed equipment.

Tail lamp (LED type) bulb
replacement
If the tail lamp (LED type) (1) does
not operate, have the vehicle
checked by an authorized Kia dealer.
The LED lamp cannot be replaced
as a single component because it is
an integrated unit. The LED lamp has
to be replaced with the unit.
A skilled technician should check or
repair the tail lamp (LED type), for it
may damage related parts of the
vehicle.
Stop and tail lamp (LED type)
bulb replacement
If the stop and tail lamp (LED type)
(1) does not operate, have the vehi-
cle checked by an authorized Kia
dealer.
The LED lamp cannot be replaced
as a single component because it is
an integrated unit. The LED lamp has
to be replaced with the unit.
A skilled technician should check or
repair the stop and tail lamp (LED
type), for it may damage related
parts of the vehicle.
Back-up lamp (Bulb type) bulb
replacement
1. Open the trunk lid.
2. Loosen the retaining screw of the
trunk lid cover and then remove
the cover.

3. Remove the socket from the
assembly by turning the socket
counterclockwise until the tabs on
the socket align with the slots on
the assembly.
4. Remove the bulb from bulb-socket
by pulling it out.
5. Insert a new bulb by inserting it
into the bulb-socket.
6. Install the socket in the assembly
by aligning the tabs on the socket
with the slots in the assembly.
Push the socket into the assembly
and turn the socket clockwise.
7. Install the trunk lid cover.
Rear turn signal lamp (Bulb
type) bulb replacement
1. Open the trunk lid.
2. Open the service cover.3. Remove the socket from the
assembly by turning the socket
counterclockwise until the tabs on
the socket align with the slots on
the assembly.
4. Remove the bulb from the socket
by pressing it in and rotating it
counterclockwise until the tabs on
the bulb align with the slots in the
socket. Pull the bulb out of the
socket.
5. Insert a new bulb by inserting it
into the socket and rotating it until
it locks into place.
