Indicates that the Automatic High Beam switch is
pressed while the headlights are in low beam.  Turn the high beam on and press the Automatic High Beam switch again.

Indicates that, since the VSC (Vehicle Stability Control)system was turned off, the pre-crash brake system oper-ation is stopped
Operation of the pre-crash brake assist is also stopped. Turn the VSC on. (P. 352)

Indicates that the PCS (Pre-Crash Safety system) is not currently functional because the grille cover or the sen-
sor is dirty  Check the grille cover and the sensor and clean
them if they are dirty.
Indicates that operation of large electricity consuming
systems such as the air conditioning system are sus- pended Stop using unnecessary electric components to
reduce electricity consumpt ion. Wait a while until the electric power supply is restored.

■Warning messages
The warning message illustrations used are in tended as examples, and may differ from the image that is actually displaye d on the multi-information display.
■Warning message in radar cruise mode (if equipped)
In the following situations, the warning message may not be displayed even if vehicle-to- vehicle distance decreases:
●When the speed of the preceding vehicle matches or exceeds your vehicle speed
●When the preceding vehicle is traveling at an extremely slow speed
●Immediately after the cruise control speed was set
●When depressing the accelerator pedal
■The LDA (Lane Departure Alert) lane departure warning function (if equipped)
In the following situations, the warning message will not be displayed even if a lane line is crossed.
●When the vehicle speed deviates from the operating range of the LDA system func-tions
●When the lane lines cannot be recognized
■Resetting the message indicating maintenance is required (RC200t)
Make sure to reset the oil change system. ( P. 526)
■Conditions that the tire pressure warning system may not function properly

An attempt was made to lock the
doors using the smart entry & start system while the electronic key wasstill inside the vehicle.
 Retrieve the electronic key from the vehicle and lock thedoors again.
An attempt was made to lock either
door by opening a door and putting the inside lock button into the lockposition, then closing the door by
pulling on the outside door handle with the electronic key still inside thevehicle.
 Retrieve the electronic key from the vehicle and lock thedoors again.
An attempt was made to lock the
doors other than using the smart entry & start system while the elec-tronic key was still inside the vehicle.
 Retrieve the electronic key from the vehicle and lock the
doors again.

The electronic key has a low battery.

The steering lock could not be released within 3 seconds of the

Indicates a malfunction in the smart
entry & start system  Have the vehicle inspected by any authorized Lexus dealer or
repairer, or another duly quali- fied and equipped professional.

• When the doors were unlockedwith the mechanical key and thenthe engine swit ch was pressed,
the electronic key could not be detected in the vehicle.• The electronic key could not be
detected in the vehicle even after the engine switch was pressedtwo consecutive times.
 Touch the electronic key to the engine switch while depressingthe brake pedal.

During an engine starting procedurein the event that the electronic key
was not functioning properly ( P. 652), the engine switch was touchedwith the electronic key.
 Press the engine switch within 10 seconds of the buzzer sound-ing.

Indicates that: • With the engine switch off, the
doors were unlocked and then the driver’s door was opened andclosed
• The engine switch was turned to ACCESSORY mode withoutstarting the engine
• The shift lever was shifted to P or N from another position with theengine switch in IGNITION ON
mode.  Press the engine switch while depressing the brake pedal.

*: The engine may not be restarted depending on the vehicle condition.

off with the shift lever in a position
other than P or N.
 Shift the shift lever to P.

After the engine switch has been

 Turn the engine switch off.

Power was turned off due to the
automatic power off function.
 Next time when starting the
engine, increase the engine
speed slightly and maintain that
level for approximately 5 min-
utes to recharge the battery.

●Stop the vehicle in a safe place on a hard, flat surface.
●Set the parking brake.
●Shift the shift lever to P.
●Stop the engine.
●Turn on the emergency flashers. (P. 580)
If you have a flat tire (vehicles with a spare tire)
Your vehicle is equipped with a spare tire. The flat tire can be replaced with
the spare tire.

■If you have a flat tire
Do not continue driving with a flat tire. Driving even a short distance with a flat tire can damage the tire and the wheel beyond
repair, which could result in an accident.
