Manual Power Deploy
You can manually operate the runningboards in the advanced settings of theinformation display. See GeneralInformation (page 119).
Set the running boards in the deployedposition to access the roof.
The running boards return to the stowedposition and enter automatic mode when thevehicle speed exceeds 5 mph (8 km/h).
Enabling and Disabling
You can enable and disable the powerrunning board feature in the advancedsettings of the information display. SeeGeneral Information (page 119).
•When disabled (OFF), the running boardsmove to the stowed position regardlessof the door position.
•When enabled (AUTO), the runningboards move back to the correctpositions based on the door position.
Bounce-back
The running board will reverse direction andmove to the end of travel if it encounters anobject while moving.

ADJUSTING THE STEERING WHEEL
WARNING: Do not adjust thesteering wheel when your vehicle ismoving.
Note: Make sure that you are sitting in thecorrect position. See Sitting in the CorrectPosition (page 158).
Use the control on the side of the steeringcolumn to adjust the position.
To adjust:
•Tilt: Press the top or bottom of thecontrol.
•Telescope: Press the front or rear of thecontrol.
End of Travel Position
The steering column sets a stopping positionjust short of the end of the column positionto prevent damage to the steering column. A new stopping position sets if the steeringcolumn encounters an object when tilting ortelescoping.
To reset the steering column to its normalstopping position:
1. Confirm there is nothing obstructing themotion of the steering column.
2. Press and hold the steering columncontrol until the steering column stopsmoving.
3.Press the steering column control again.
Note:The steering column may begin tomove again.
4. When the steering column stops,continue holding the control for a fewseconds.
5. Repeat for each direction as necessary.
A new stopping position sets. The next timeyou tilt or telescope the steering column, itstops just short of the end of the columnposition.
Memory Feature (If Equipped)
You can save and recall the steering columnposition with the memory function. SeeAdjusting the Steering Wheel (page 89).
Pressing the adjustment control during amemory recall cancels the operation.
Easy Entry and Exit Feature
The column moves up when you switch theignition off. Switch the ignition on to returnthe system to its previous settings. You canswitch this feature on or off in the informationdisplay. See Information Displays (page119).

HEATED STEERING WHEEL (IF
EQUIPPED)
Switch the heated steering wheel on and offusing the touchscreen.
Touch the button to switch theheated steering wheel on and off.
Note:You can use the heated steeringwheel only when the engine is running.
Note:The system uses a sensor and isdesigned to control the temperature of thesteering wheel and to prevent it fromoverheating.
Note:In warm temperatures, the steeringwheel quickly reaches its maximumtemperature and the system reduces thecurrent to the heating element. This couldcause you to think that the system hasstopped working but it has not. This isnormal.

ADJUSTING THE PEDALS (IF EQUIPPED)
WARNING: Never use the pedaladjustment controls when your feet are onthe accelerator or brake pedal when thevehicle is moving.
You can find the control on the left side ofthe steering column. Press and hold theappropriate side of the control to move thepedals.

AUTOWIPERS
Note:Fully defrost the windshield before youswitch the windshield wipers on.
Note:Make sure you switch the windshieldwipers off before entering a car wash.
Note: If streaks or smears appear on thewindshield, clean the windshield and thewiper blades. If that does not resolve theissue, install new wiper blades.
Note:If you switch autolamps andautowipers on, the headlamps automaticallyturn on when the windshield wiperscontinuously operate.
Wet or winter driving conditions with ice,snow or salty road mist can causeinconsistent and unexpected wiping orsmearing.

Use the rotary control to adjust the sensitivityof the autowipers. When you select lowsensitivity, the wipers operate when thesensor detects a large amount of water onthe windshield. When you select highsensitivity, the wipers operate when thesensor detects a small amount of water onthe windshield.
Keep the outside of the windshield clean. The rain sensor is very sensitive and thewipers may operate if dirt, mist or insects hitthe windshield.
In these conditions, you can do the following:
•Lower the sensitivity of the autowipersto reduce the amount of smearing on thewindshield.
•Switch to normal or high-speed wipe.
•Switch autowipers off.
Autowipers Settings
Autowipers default to on and remain on untilyou switch them off in the informationdisplay. When you switch off autowipers, thewipers operate in intermittent mode. SeeGeneral Information (page 119).
Low Temperature Wipe Inhibit
The rain sensing feature will not operatewhen you place the vehicle in RUN position,the vehicle is stationary and the outsidetemperature is below 32°F (0°C). You canmanually switch on the wipers by adjustingthe rain sensor sensitivity or adjusting thewiper speed.
This prevents damage to the wipers from iceand snow on the windshield.

WINDSHIELD WASHERS
Pull the lever toward you to operate thewindshield washers. When you release thelever, wiping continues for a short period oftime.
Note: Do not operate the washers when thewasher reservoir is empty. This may causethe washer pump to overheat.
Note:Do not operate the windshieldwashers for more than 10 seconds at a time.

Depending on your vehicle, when you switchon the front wipers and move the gearshiftlever to reverse (R), the rear intermittent wipemay turn on.
Note:Make sure you switch the rear windowwiper off before entering a car wash.
Rear Window Washer
Push the lever away from you to operate therear window washer. When you release thelever, the wipers operate for a short time.
Do not operate the washers when thewasher reservoir is empty. This could causethe washer pump to overheat.
Rear Camera Washer (If Equipped)
Switching on the rear washer also turns onthe rear camera washer.

GENERAL INFORMATION
Condensation in the Exterior FrontLamps and Rear Lamps
Exterior front lamps and rear lamps havevents to accommodate normal changes inair pressure.
Condensation can be a natural by-productof this design. When moist air enters thelamp assembly through the vents, there is apossibility that condensation can occur whenthe temperature is cold. When normalcondensation occurs, a fine mist can form onthe interior of the lens. The fine misteventually clears and exits through the ventsduring normal operation.
Clearing time may take as long as 48 hoursunder dry weather conditions.
Examples of acceptable condensation are:
•The presence of a fine mist (no streaks,drip marks or large droplets).
•A fine mist covers less than 50% of thelens.
Examples of unacceptable condensation are:
•A water puddle inside the lamp.
•Streaks, drip marks or large dropletspresent on the interior of the lens.
If you see any unacceptable condensation,have your vehicle checked by an authorizeddealer.

Headlamp High Beam
Push the lever away from you toswitch the high beam on.
Push the lever away from you again or pullthe lever toward you to switch the high beamoff.
Flashing the Headlamp High Beam
Slightly pull the lever toward you and releaseit to flash the headlamps.
AUTOLAMPS
WARNING: The system does notrelieve you of your responsibility to drivewith due care and attention. You may needto override the system if it does not turnthe headlamps on in low visibilityconditions, for example daytime fog.
When the lighting control is in the autolampsposition, the headlamps turn on in low lightsituations, or when the wipers turn on.
The headlamps remain on for a period oftime after you switch the ignition off. Usethe information display controls to adjust theperiod of time that the headlamps remainon.
Note: If you switch the autolamps on, youcannot switch the high beams on until thesystem turns the low beams on.
