Kickdown Use kickdown for maximu

In drive program C,you can deactivate and acti-
vate gliding mode using the ECO button
(Y page1 51). Gliding mode can be activated under the follow-
ing conditions:

pedal

transmission does not shift up automatically

current gear is reached. When the engine lim- iting spee disreached, the fuel supply is cut to
prevent the engine fro moverrevving. Always
make sure tha tthe engine spee ddoesn ot
reach the red area of the rev counter. There is
otherwis eariskofe ngine damage. X
To shift up: pull steeringwheel gearshift pad-
dle ;.
The automatic transmission shifts up to the
next gear.

cles): if the maximum engine spee donthe

continue to accelerate, the automatic trans-
mission automaticall yshifts up in order to
prevent engine damage.

the next gear.
Automatic downshifting occurs when coast-
ing.
If the engine exceed sthe maximum engine
