When the fuel is reduced to about 7 litres, theinformation screen switches to the interruptdisplay of the fuel remaining warning display,and the “ ” mark (B) on the fuel remainingdisplay flashes slowly (about once per sec-ond). After a few seconds, the informationscreen returns from the fuel remaining warn-ing display to the previous screen.When the fuel is reduced further to about 5litres, the information screen switches to thefuel remaining warning display and the “ ”mark (B) on the fuel remaining displayflashes quickly (about twice per second).

Fuel remaining warning display
CAUTIONzIf the warning display a
ppears, refuel as soon
as possible. If the vehicle is runs out of fuel, the enginewill not start even in
a situation need to be
generated electricity, the following condi-tions will occur.•The driving performance falls (since onlythe electrical power stored in the drive bat-tery can be used for the driving).•The heating performance cannot be availa-ble (except vehicles with electric heater).•The effectiveness of the heater is insuffi-cient (vehicles with electric heater).•The catalytic converter may be damageddue to excessive high temperature.NOTE
zOn inclines or curves, the display may beincorrect due to the movement of fuel in thetank.zBattery save or battery charge may not beactivated even if the battery save switch orthe battery charge switch is pressed, depend-ing on the remaining quantity of the drivebattery or the control condition of the sys-tem.
Outside temperature display screen
This displays the temperatureoutside the vehicle.
NOTE
zThe display setting can be changed to thepreferred units (°C or °F).Refer to “Changing the function settings” onpage 6-15.zDepending on factors such as the drivingconditions, the displayed temperature mayvary from the actual outside temperature.

zWhen the operation mode is in ACC orOFF for about 4 hours or longer, the aver-age fuel consumption display is automati-cally reset.

The display unit for fuel consumption can beswitched. The distance and amount units arealso switched to match the selected fuel con-sumption unit.1. Press and hold the multi information dis-play switch for about 2 seconds or more toswitch from the setting mode screen to themenu screen.Refer to “Changing the function settings”on page 6-15.
2. Lightly press the multi information dis-play switch to select “AVG UNIT (fuelconsumption display setting)”.3. Press and hold the multi information dis-play switch for about 2 seconds or more todisplay “AVG UNIT”.4. Lightly press the multi information dis-play switch to select the units.5. Press and hold the multi information dis-play switch for about 2 seconds or more tochange the setting to the selected unit.
The distance units is also switched in the fol-lowing combinations to match the selectedfuel consumption unit.

zThe display units for the average fuel con-sumption and the driving range is switched,but the units for the indicating needle (speed-ometer), the odometer and the tripmeter willremain unchanged.
