because a wide-angle lens is used.
. Objects in the RearView Monitor
will appear visually opposite com-
pared to when viewed in the rear-
view and outside mirrors.
. Use the displayed lines as a refer-
ence. The lines are highly affected
by the number of occupants, fuel
level, vehicle position, road condi-
tions and road grade.
. Make sure that the trunk lid is
securely closed when backing up.
. Do not put anything on the rearview
camera. The rearview camera is
installed above the license plate.
. When washing the vehicle with
high-pressure water, be sure not to
spray it around the camera. Other-
wise, water may enter the camera
unit causing water condensation on
the lens, a malfunction, fire or an
electric shock.
. Do not strike the camera. It is a
precision instrument. Otherwise, it
may malfunction or cause damage
resulting in a fire or an electric
shock. The following are operating limitations and do
not represent a system malfunction:
.
When the temperature is extremely high or
low, the screen may not clearly display
objects.
. When strong light is directly coming on the
camera, objects may not be displayed
clearly.
. Vertical lines may be seen in objects on the
screen. This is due to strong reflected light
from the bumper.
. The screen may flicker under fluorescent
light.
. The colors of objects on the RearView
Monitor may differ somewhat from the actual
color of objects.
. Objects on the monitor may not be clear in a
dark environment.
. There may be a delay when switching to the
RearView Monitor screen.
. If dirt, rain or snow accumulates on the
camera, the RearView Monitor may not
display objects clearly. Clean the camera.
. Do not use wax on the camera window.
Wipe off any wax with a clean cloth
dampened with mild detergent diluted with water.

CAUTION
.Do not use alcohol, benzine or
thinner to clean the camera. This
will cause discoloration. To clean
the camera, wipe with a cloth dam-
pened with diluted mild cleaning
agent and then wipe with a dry
cloth.
. Do not damage the camera as the
monitor screen may be adversely
affected. If dirt, rain or snow accumulates on the camera
*1, the RearView Monitor may not display
objects clearly. Clean the camera by wiping it
with a cloth dampened with a diluted mild
cleaning agent and then wiping it with a dry
cloth.

clockwise will close or open the ventilators.
Adjust the air flow direction by moving the
ventilators until the desired position is achieved.

WARNING
.The air conditioner cooling function
operates only when the engine is
running.
. Do not leave children or adults who
would normally require the support
of others alone in your vehicle. Pets
should not be left alone either. On
hot, sunny days, temperatures in a
closed vehicle could quickly become
high enough to cause severe or
possibly fatal injuries to people or
animals.
. Do not use the recirculation mode
for long periods as it may cause the
interior air to become stale and the
windows to fog up.
Start the engine and operate the heater and air
conditioner system.
NOTE:
. Odors from inside and outside the
vehicle can build up in the air condi-
tioner unit. Odor can enter the passen-
ger compartment through the vents. .
When parking, set the heater and air
conditioner controls to turn off air
recirculation to allow fresh air into the
passenger compartment. This should
help reduce odors inside the vehicle.

Cooling and/or dehumidified heating
(AUTO):
GUID-E22DEED8-E349-45C2-B1F1-0C9BCF3B8FB9This mode may be used all year round as the
system automatically works to keep a constant
temperature. Air flow distribution and fan speed
are also controlled automatically.
1. Push the AUTO button on. (The indicator light on the button will illuminate.)
2. Turn the temperature control dial on the driver's side to the left or right to set the
desired temperature.
.The temperature of the passenger com-
partment will be maintained automati-
cally. Air flow distribution and fan speed
are also controlled automatically.
.A visible mist may be seen coming from
the vents in hot, humid conditions as the
air is cooled rapidly. This does not
indicate a malfunction.
3. You can individually set driver's and front passenger's side temperature using each
temperature control dial. When the DUAL
zone control button is pushed or the
passenger's side temperature control dial
is turned, the indicator light on the DUAL

zone control button will come on. To turn off
the passenger's side temperature control,
push the DUAL zone control button.
Heating (A/C OFF):
GUID-E22DEED8-E349-45C2-B1F1-0C9BCF3B8FB9The air conditioner does not activate in this
mode. Only use this mode when you need to
heat the vehicle.
1. Push the AUTO button on. (The indicator light on the button will illuminate.)
2. If the indicator light on the A/C button is turned on, push the A/C button. (The
indicator light will turn off.)
3. Turn the temperature control dial on the driver's side to set the desired temperature.
.The temperature of the passenger com-
partment will be maintained automati-
cally. Air flow distribution and fan speed
are also controlled automatically.
.Do not set the temperature lower than
the outside air temperature or the system
may not work properly.
.Not recommended if windows fog up.
4. You can individually set driver's and front passenger's side temperature using each
temperature control dial. When the DUAL
zone control button is pushed or passen-
ger's side temperature control dial is turned,
the DUAL indicator light will come on. To turn off the passenger's side temperature
control, push the DUAL zone control button.
Dehumidified defrosting or defogging:

indicator light on the button will come on.)
2. Turn the temperature control dial on the driver's side to set the desired temperature.
.To quickly remove ice from the outside of
the windows, use the
fan speed
control button to set the fan speed to
maximum.
.As soon as possible after the windshield
is clean, push the AUTO button to return
to the automatic mode.
When the
front defroster button is pushed,
the air conditioner will automatically be turned
on at outside temperatures above 368F (28C) to
defrost the windshield, and the air recirculation
mode will automatically be turned off. Outside
air is drawn into the passenger compartment to
improve the defrosting performance.

manually control the fan speed.
Push the AUTO button to return to automatic
control of the fan speed. Air intake control:

Push theair recirculation button to
recirculate interior air inside the vehicle. The
indicator light on the button will come
on.
. Push the
outside air circulation button
to draw outside air into the passenger
compartment. The
indicator light on
the button will come on.
. To switch to automatic control mode, push
and hold the
air recirculation button or
the
outside air circulation button
(whichever indicator light is illuminated) for
about 2 seconds. The indicator lights (both
air recirculation and outside air circulation
buttons) will flash twice, and then the air
intake will be controlled automatically.
Air flow control:

outside air temperature are low, the air flowfrom the foot outlets may not operate. However,
this is not a malfunction. After the coolant
temperature warms up, the air flow from the
foot outlets will operate normally.
The sensors
*Aand*Blocated on the
instrument panel help maintain a constant
temperature. Do not put anything on or around
the sensors.
IN-CABIN MICROFILTERGUID-0A40EBE2-192F-4D7B-A8E1-21E6544D25DDThe air conditioning system is equipped with an
in-cabin microfilter which collects dirt, dust, etc.
To make sure the air conditioner heats, defogs,
and ventilates efficiently, replace the filter in
accordance with the maintenance schedule in
the NISSAN Service and Maintenance Guide. It
is recommended to see a NISSAN dealer or
GT-R certified NISSAN dealer to replace the
filter.
The filter should be replaced if air flow is
extremely decreased or when windows fog
up easily when operating heater or air
conditioning system.

SERVICING AIR CONDITIONERGUID-03CDA6BF-7319-45F3-8632-6A4800B3C7D3The air conditioning system in your NISSAN is
charged with a refrigerant designed with the
environment in mind.This refrigerant will not
harm the earth's ozone layer. However,
special charging equipment and lubricant are
required when servicing your NISSAN air con-
ditioner. Using improper refrigerants or lubri-
cants will cause severe damage to your air
conditioning system. (

commended fluids/lubricantsº page 9-2)
Your NISSAN dealer or GT-R certified NISSAN
dealer will be able to service your environmen-
tally friendly air conditioning system.
WARNING
The system contains refrigerant under
high pressure. To avoid personal injury,
any air conditioner service should be
done only by an experienced technician
with the proper equipment.

. A cellular phone should not be used

operation. Some jurisdictions prohi-
bit the use of cellular phones while
driving.
. If you must make a call while your
vehicle is in motion, the hands-free
cellular phone operational mode (if
so equipped) is highly recom-
mended. Exercise extreme caution
at all times so full attention may be
given to vehicle operation.
. If you are unable to devote full
attention to vehicle operation while
talking on the phone, pull off the
road to a safe location and stop
your vehicle.
CAUTION
.Keep the antenna as far away as
possible from the electronic control
modules.
. Keep the antenna wire more than 8
in (20 cm) away from the electronic
control system harness. Do not
route the antenna wire next to any
harness.
. Adjust the antenna standing-wave
ratio as recommended by the man-
ufacturer.
. Connect the ground wire from the
CB radio chassis to the body.
. For details, it is recommended you
visit a NISSAN dealer or GT-R certi-
fied NISSAN dealer.
